NPC Distribution Fix & Basic Lynx QoL Improvements

Open World Speed Update + Chain Ammo Poll

[p]We further increased Open World speed at close-hauled and close-reaching angles.[/p][hr][/hr][p]We also added an in-game poll to gather feedback on Chain Ammo effective range reduction.[/p][p][/p][p]The poll is available on both servers and will remain active until Monday maintenance, February 2.[/p][p]Only players of rank Commodore (620 crew) and above can vote.

January 28 Update - Open World Ship Speed, Gun Rebalance and Other Changes

[h2]Open World Speed Rebalance[/h2][p]Open world (Travel Map) Speed has been updated reducing the open world travel speed difference (gap) between slowest and fastest vessels. This is done to provide more quality of life to heavy vessels in the open world while still keeping them slow in battles. [/p][p]Example - HMS Victory OW speed has increased by approximately 25-29%. Mid-level vessels received 15% buff. Fastest vessels already navigate the map with ease.  [/p][p]This change has not affected the actual battle speed. [/p][hr][/hr][h2]Guns Rebalance[/h2][h3]Blomfield Guns[/h3]
  • [p]DPM increased by 5%. This is 5% above medium guns.[/p]
  • [p]Reload time reduced by 16%. Reload time is the same as medium guns.[/p]
  • [p]Base Penetration reduced from 165 to 160[/p]
  • [p]Reduced penetration at long range[/p]
  • [p]Horizontal dispersion increased (nerf) by +2 m per 100 m[/p]
  • [p]Vertical dispersion increased (nerf) by +4 m per 100 m[/p]

  • [p]DPM increased by 2%. This is 12% above medium guns[/p]
  • [p]Reload time reduced by 3%–7% (based on caliber, the larger the caliber, the bigger the buff).[/p]
    • [p]Carronades reload 15% faster than medium guns of the same class[/p]
  • [p]Horizontal dispersion reduced (buff) by −1 m per 100 m[/p]
  • [p]Vertical dispersion increased (nerf) by +1 m per 100 m[/p]

  • [p]DPM increased by 1%. This is 17% above medium guns[/p]

    • [p]12-pdr: increased by 3% (slower)[/p]
    • [p]42-pdr: reduced by 2% (faster)[/p]
    • [p]Obusiers reload 15% faster than medium guns of the same class[/p]

  • [p]The effective range of Chain Ammo has been reduced from 700 m to 300 m[/p]
    • [p]At 750 m, damage is halved[/p]
    • [p]At 900 m, damage is reduced by 90%[/p]
    • [p]At 1250 m, Chain Ammo becomes completely ineffective[/p]
  • [p]Fully destroying a ship’s sails is now slightly harder[/p]
