[p][/p][p]Development for Update 0.2.5 is currently underway and will introduce major improvements to survival systems, world interaction, the new player experience, and overall gameplay balance.[/p][p][/p][p]Many of these changes come directly from community feedback, and development will continue evolving as new systems and improvements are added to the game.[/p][p][/p][p]Some systems will arrive earlier through smaller updates leading up to the full 0.2.5 release.[/p][hr][/hr]
šŸ”§ Update 0.2.5 — Survival Systems Patch (Releasing Soon)
[p][/p][p]Update 0.2.5 will introduce several improvements to survival mechanics, crafting clarity, and early gameplay systems while development continues toward the full 0.2.6 update.[/p][hr][/hr][h2]🦠 Sickness System[/h2][p]A new sickness system will be introduced.[/p][p]Instead of taking direct damage from unsafe items, players may now become sick when consuming contaminated resources.
[/p][p]Possible causes include:[/p][p]• Drinking dirty water
• Eating rotten meat[/p][p][/p][p]When sick, players may experience effects such as:[/p][p]• Health reduction over time
• Brief stamina drops (stamina can temporarily drop to 0)
• A green sickness screen overlay
• Coughing sounds that increase as sickness worsens[/p][p][/p][p]If left untreated, sickness can reduce the player's overall health significantly below the normal 100 HP limit.[/p][p][/p][p]Players will need antibiotics to cure sickness.
[/p][hr][/hr][h2]šŸ’§ Dirty Water Improvements[/h2][p]Dirty water now works with the sickness system.[/p][p][/p][p]Players can drink dirty water from environmental sources including:[/p][p]• Toilets
• Sinks
• Bathtubs
• Showers[/p][p][/p][p]Dirty water restores thirst but carries a risk of sickness.[/p][p][/p][p]Dirty water sources respawn after approximately 6 hours of in-game time.[/p][hr][/hr][h2]🄩 Rotten Food System[/h2][p]Rotten meat will now properly interact with the sickness system.[/p][p][/p][p]Eating spoiled meat will risk causing sickness instead of immediate damage.[/p][hr][/hr][h2]🧰 Crafting UI Improvements[/h2][p]Several improvements are being made to improve crafting interface readability.[/p][p][/p][p]Improvements include:[/p][p]• Better crafting UI visibility
• Clearer crafting material requirements
• Improved crafting menu readability[/p][hr][/hr][h2]šŸ’° Old World Money (Phase 1)[/h2][p]The Old World Money currency will begin appearing across the world.[/p][p][/p][p]Players will begin finding currency items scattered throughout buildings and containers.

• Searching containers and looting
• Drinking water from environmental sources
• Inventory management
• Crafting basic tools
• Basic survival mechanics[/p][p]The tutorial system will expand and improve over time as development continues.[/p][p][/p][p]To prevent exploitation, Steam achievements and player stats will be disabled while inside the tutorial level.[/p][p][/p][p]Players will also have the option to skip the tutorial and begin directly in the open world.[/p][hr][/hr]

[p]The player death system will be redesigned.[/p][p][/p][p]Instead of dropping multiple item stacks, players will drop a single backpack containing their inventory.[/p][p]Features include:[/p][p]• Backpack remains for 30 minutes • Directional marker to help locate the dropped backpack • UI timer showing remaining despawn time[/p][p][/p][p]If the player dies again before retrieving their backpack, a new backpack will spawn containing the player's current inventory.[/p][hr][/hr]
