It's Been a While, Driftmasters!

The Time Has Come!
[p]The first campaign of
Warborne is gearing up for launch. As some of the earliest supporters of our game, we believe it's essential to give you an early heads-up with more advanced intel—[/p][p]We remember that many Driftmasters in the community have shared plenty of feedback and suggestions about our final victory settlement. Now, we can finally respond: The brand-new season settlement will debut in the very first season after
Warborne's launch, making it more fun, more exciting, and—possibly—with far more than just one winner.[/p][p]Our game isn't just about skillful operations; it's a strategic showdown. You and your Warband or organization, no matter the size, are all key players on this battlefield sandbox.[/p][p]We don't like beating around the bush, so let's dive right in:[/p][p][/p]
New Performance Settlement Mechanism: Richer Strategy!
[p]Yes, after our discussions, we've decided to adjust
Warborne's season victory mechanism—this means we're removing the mechanic where simply occupying the \[Forgeheart] grants direct victory![/p][p]
Now, the ultimate victory rule is: At the end of the season, the total occupation value of captured Hubs and Fortresses will determine the ranking and rewards for all the mighty contenders![/p][p]Of course, the levels of the Hubs you occupy still determine your final score, and the \[Forgeheart] remains a crucial factor on this planetary battlefield. That said, you can secure your place on the planet in various ways, especially since:
This planet's victors might even be more than one.[/p][p]Next, I'd like to introduce our Warband tier settlement mechanism: In the first season of
Warborne's official launch, your war performance will be rated across several tiers for distributing spoils. Here are the four Warband tiers:[/p]
- [p]Sovereign[/p]
- [p]Warlord[/p]
- [p]Reclaimer[/p]
- [p]Survivor[/p]
[p]The specific values are still in design, and we'll provide the exact breakdowns soon. But the goal is crystal clear: The planetary battlefield won't be a zero-sum game. You can do more than just fight—there's room for alliances and cunning strategies.[/p][p][/p][p]As your Warband achieves different tiers through battles, you'll reap the fruits of victory together at the end of the month's campaign:
From rare Avatar Frames and Eclipsium, to Season Merits that can be exchanged for unique content. Plus, the Mod Cores that are vital for your long-term personal combat power.
Warborne must ensure that every day you fight tooth and nail in the season won't be in vain.[/p][p]

[/p][p]Yes, this applies to every Warband.
Warborne's war ecosystem will be vibrant and diverse. Small and medium-sized Warbands are just as important to us. In our first season, you'll find that in many scenarios, these smaller Warbands can become the pivotal players that tip the scales.[/p][p][/p]
New Occupation Mechanism: Everyone's a War Strategist
[p]In fact, through several tests, we've clearly seen the plight of small and medium-sized teams on the planetary battlefield: Once large Warbands kick their war machines into gear, smaller ones are left with only two choices—either become affiliates of the big ones or occupy low-value blocks on the battlefield's edges. Honestly, that's not the experience we want to provide.[/p][p]So, before
Warborne's official launch, we've made a key adjustment to the occupation mechanism: All Warbands now have an occupation limit of 10 Hubs/Fortresses. You can capture higher-value advanced Hubs/Fortresses to achieve greater final occupation values.[/p][p]We hope this change makes choosing which Hubs to occupy a core part of every Warband's strategic gameplay—even the most powerful Warbands can't simply dominate the entire world through sheer strength alone. You'll need scientific deployments to achieve your goals and prevent strong rivals from snatching your victories![/p][p]For small and medium-sized Warbands, this is absolutely the best opportunity. You'll naturally hold the most important bargaining chips. Your battles could create completely unpredictable reactions on this sandbox battlefield, even shifting the overall landscape through your decisions.[/p][p]No matter which Warband you belong to, the choices will be in your hands. This will be a completely unpredictable strategic gameplay experience—[/p][p]
But there's one thing that's inevitable in Warborne:[/p][p]
Every Warband has the potential to become the protagonist of this world.[/p]
And There's More!
[p]We hope you're satisfied with this optimization to
Warborne's overall season rules—if not, feel free to share your thoughts in the comments or on Discord anytime. This isn't the final version; we'll continue listening to your feedback![/p][p]We'll be releasing more and more content about
Warborne's first season soon. Stay tuned to our Steam and Discord communities—I promise you won't be disappointed![/p][p]
See you soon![/p]
