Welcome to the first devlog for Tears Apart! We're excited to share the progress we’ve made so far and give you a behind-the-scenes look at what we’ve been working on.
[h2]Secondary Skills & Exploration[/h2]
Recently, we’ve been discussing adding additional weapons for players to use alongside the dash attack. These secondary skills will be designed to complement the dash and allow for interesting builds, offering more variety in gameplay. Our goal is to provide a richer experience with more strategic options for players as they experiment with different combinations.
We’ve also been thinking about how progression will work throughout the game. We're aiming to give players as much freedom as possible in deciding which rooms to engage in. Players will be able to enter and exit most rooms at will, offering the flexibility to choose their battles. We believe this system will provide depth for players who understand risk-reward mechanics, while remaining intuitive and accessible for newcomers.
[h2]Development Progress[/h2]
On the development side, we’ve been focusing on making all the systems smooth, optimized, and highly expandable. This flexibility is key because it means we can easily implement the fantastic ideas and feedback we’ll be receiving from you, the community, as we move forward.
We’re also making sure that everything is designed to be as scalable as possible, allowing us to refine and improve the game throughout the development process.
[h2]Art & UI Design[/h2]
Our artist has been hard at work on one of the most crucial elements: the UI. This is key to making the game not only visually appealing but also easy to understand. We’re currently working on essential features like the map and build display, which will help guide players as they explore and battle through the cosmos.
We can’t wait to share more with you as we continue to fine-tune the visuals and make Tears Apart an unforgettable experience!
