Patch 2.4.2.1: Bug Fixes

-Fixed Paratroopers not deploying with any weapons
-Fixed the Brit MG nest causing a crash when decrewed. Extensive testing was unable to determine the exact cause of the crash other than that it was caused by the MG nest becoming decrewed. So in order to fix this, we went ahead and changed the MG nest so it is unable to be decrewed. In order to offset its increased survivability, we have added a small fuel cost to it for now.

Note about Brit AI: The rework of the British faction is expected to come to a close soon (in a month or 2 at most), and fixes for the AI will come along with it. We will be focusing on improving the AI of the Brits after the rework instead of having to spend double the effort to fix both the old and new Brit faction AI

-Re-enabled Brits for the time being so you can play them again

A re-work of the Brits is still in the making, stay tuned!

Edit to fix the starting issues:

1) Right-click on Company of Heroes: Eastern Front.
2) Click on properties.
3) Click on Local Files tab.
4) There you will see "Verify Integrity of Game Files". Click on that.
5) Wait for it to verify and update its files.
6) Do the same for COH

after following this the game should work again. Sorry for the inconveniences.

NOTE: If you happen to have issues with game crashes on start etc. do the following:
Check game files for errors (right click "Company of Heroes : Eastern Front" -> properties -> local files -> check local files for errors)

Known issues/bugs:

* on some systems (including mine) the game will show no multiplayer matches unless you check game files for errors.
After check steam will download a 0 kb file, after that mp works. We/I don't knwo the cause of this issue right now but we're working on a solution.
If you can't get EF to run OR do not see multiplayer games hosted use this workaround:
Start the New Steam version with the starting parameters: -dev -mod ef_beta
(right click on CoH: New Steam version -> Properties -> Starting options)
General Changes:

* slightly modified cover camouflage modifiers to behave more consistent

Soviets:

* increased the timer for Spotters to recloak
* tweaked Bt 7 50mm cannon accuracy against infantry/light vehicles
* lowered PTAB anti tank bomb area slightly
* tweaked KV 1 performance against heavier tanks (overall better penetration power)
* ISU 152 uses AP shells now instead of HE shells; shells deal 275 damage, reload 12-13s

Ostheer:

* Changed number of casualties necessary to get a Landser squad to 6 (from 4)

Improved several doctrinal abilities:

* Army Elite:
Changed LHS layout back to:
2cp Panzerfusiliers - 2cp Propagandawar - 2cp Cauldron Battle
- fixed Propagandakwar effects - now applies +15% rec. supression and -10% weapon accuracy to enemy infantry

* Honveds Doctrine:
- improved area denial barrage - fires more shells in quicker succession and lasts slightly longer than before
- improved JU 88 airstrike - now 2 planes drop their bomb load onto the target area. Each bomb deals significantly more damage (3x500kg bomb load for each plane) over a wider area. Increased cost to 200 to compensate

Wehrmacht:

* reworked mp40 - increased accuracy to 0.1/0.35/0.75 (from 0.1/0.25/0.75)m, increased weapon range slightly for short/medium range, applied inc. accuracy modifier (more powerful against multiple units than single soldiers
* tweaked Puma against Bt7
* removed unintended supression from Motorbike; purchasing vehicle veterancy 2 will add the supression back

US:

* Rangers no longer start with Bazookas
* Ranger M1 Garand damage to 12 (from 15)
* Ranger M1 Carbine damage to 10 (from 12)
* Ranger reinforcement cost to 48mp (from 44)
* Rangers get +15% weapon penetration with vet 1
* Rangers can upgrade to 2x Bazooka (40 ammo)
* Rangers can upgrade to 3x m1 Thompson submachine gun (60 ammo, can be equipped twice)
* Rangers can either upgrade to 3x m1 Thompson, 2x Bazookas, 3x m1 Thompson + Bazookas or 2x3 m1 thompson
* Bazooka scatter reduced to 12 from 20, tweaked some other stats to make it more reliable
* increased Bazooka damage to 90 (from 75)
* Bazooka accuracy to 0.9/0.75/0.4 from 0.9/0.75/0.35 for s/m/l range
* applied some fixes to veterancy UI (still WIP though)

Panzer Elite:

* lowered PzGren health back to 55 (from 60)
* made 75mm Halftrack more accurate
* 75mm Halftrack now can use the Hohlladungsgranate AT ability (removed from AT HT)
* fixed some UI bugs on PE vehicles
* lowered PE Nashorn call in cost to 450mp (from 700mp)
* increased Nashorn damage to 225 (from 165)
