Update V1.08 Bugfix and Quality of Life time

After the major content push yesterday, we had a day of bug squashing today.

Changes
  • Show the current deck on the save slot screen and the continue button.
  • Balance: Card: The Bell: Make it banish upon use
  • Added controller support for the Confirmation Dialog when restarting.
  • Added plus icon on the play button if new decks were unlocked.
  • Restarting from the Death screen keeps the active modifiers.
Fixed Bugs
  • Fixed Default Deck showing when inspecting the deck during the first card reward screen with other Decks.
  • Fixed cards duplicating by discarding themselves when Encore is active and there are fewer cards in hand than would be discarded in total.
  • Fixed Mechanical Room moving and removing effects on Heart Health.
  • Fixed save slots overlapping buttons and going off screen by adding a scroll box.
  • Fixed new save slot not being created when one was deleted from the middle of the list.
  • Fixed save slot screen buttons stretching when using a controller.
  • Fixed Echo Chambers audio bug triggering overlapping sound effects.
  • First pass of polishing collisions on a number of props to help improve the navigation.
  • Fixed spawning Humans getting stuck in rocks outside the house.

Biggest update yet V1.07 Including starter decks and newly curated runs!

We're very proud to push this update live, as we know it is something that a lot of you have been wanting since release day... Starter decks and a more varied run-system!

Always wanted to try a Sanity or Damage driven deck? Time to try that out.
Or, if you are a player that loves to give themselves over to the "luck of the draw", there is also a chaos starter deck now that will select cards from your unlocked collection.



Apart from the starter decks (more of them to come as well in the future!), we've also spent some time on revamping the runs themselves.
Added to the now "Classic" very first run, where you previously could only re-run pretty much the same thing (albeit with some minor variation in stats/human amount/traits), we now have a run-system that will, every night, pick from a selection of more curated nights.

So, where in one run you might have a night where you get a solid group of high health regenerative humans with doctor bags that spawn in just 1 wave, in the next run that very same night might instead have you encounter 6 waves of fragile, steadfast humans with a compass.



The beauty of this system is, that we can keep on adding different curated runs into the mix to make sure you get an increased amount of variations in your runs!

As a sneak peek: we're currently creating a set of new cards to add to the game, together with a new starter deck type.

And as always, the changelog for this update: Changes
  • Added starter deck selection: Default, Damage, Drain, and Chaos.
  • Added a new run system, to include a variety of nights during a run, that will be differently configured every time you start a new run.
  • Prevent the same cards from showing up immediately when rerolling.
  • Balance: Card: Midnights Strike: Change from Any Human to Solo Human target.
  • Balance: Card: Unending Madness: Change from being Uncommon to Rare.
  • Balance: Card: Rumbling Lure: Banish now by default, Upgrade does not banish but now costs 3AP.
  • Balance: Card: Cascading Mechanism: Default AP from 1 to 2, Upgraded AP from 0 to 1.
  • “Solitary” achievement trigger now works if multiple Mirror Halls are used.
  • Changed the "Play" button in the main menu to say "Continue" when a run is still in progress.
  • Added a global limitation to the number of possible concurrent sounds.
Fixes
  • Fixed damage check for “Unseen” achievement trigger.
  • Removed a mirror causing pathfinding issues in the Mirror Hall.
  • Fixed German localization errors for “unheilvolles Omen”, “Nadelstiche” and “Wurzeln zurückerobern”.
  • Fixed Storage Room icon tooltip showing “SACRIFICE” to now say "STORE".

Update V1.06 Cloud Saving

This latest patch brings in Cloud Saving for players using multiple systems to play Deck of Haunts on!

Update V1.05 Harvesting humans now removes them from the house, and more!

Who else was tormented by piling up corpses?
Well, now you can, if you have "Harvest" cards, explode alive humans and remove them from this plane of existence!

Also, to all of you that were exploiting the save games to get infinite essence, your time has ended! 💔

Update V1.04 Including Card/Room Discovery during Endless Mode

Let's start off the week with a new update, including the much requested card discovery during endless mode!

Changes
  • Enable card discovery during endless mode.
  • Enable XP-collection during endless mode.
  • Add a Rest night to endless mode every 5 nights.
  • Cards in the Collection and Unlocked Cards screens now show their tooltips when hovered.
  • Phobia cards created by Propagating Nightmares no longer get added to the discard pile on end turn.
  • Building card tooltip frame and text match the color of the cards.
Fixed Bugs
  • Fixed endless loop crash between adjacent Echo Chambers.
  • Fixed achievement unlocks for actions that trigger multiple achievement unlock calls at once.
  • Fixed Belle Of The Ball achievement unlocking without Bell Crush.
  • Upgrade achievements will unlock when complete, but the progress is not tracked on Steam.
  • Fixed Right mouse button being counted as selection in the upgrade, remove and pick a card screens.
  • Fixed Legendary Rooms SFX.
