It's been 1 year! Happy Nubbyday! (3/7/2026)

[p][/p][p]Greetings nubheads and nublings old and new,[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Today is Nubbyday... aka Nubby's first birthday! What a year! That kind of snuck up on me to be honest. I'd like to start by saying that it's probably been the most fun and significant year of my life in terms of career success. Heck, I was a junior in college one year ago and I didn't even have a career. Today I have the privilege of calling myself a full time indie developer. Of course, this is all thanks to nubby and everyone who has supported me as a game developer throughout this past year! I'm grateful for all of the memories made, friends met, lessons learned over the past year. It's my honor to bring you nubby and I wouldn't change a single thing if I could go back in time and do it again. Thank you for 1 really awesome year of nubby![/p][p][/p][p]In this announcement I will be revealing a couple upcoming fun things that myself and a few friends have put together for the real nubheads out there. Before that, I'll start with a brief word about the v1.4.4 patch that released for nubby yesterday.[/p][p][/p][p]Enjoy![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Patch V1.4.4 (released 3/6/2026):[/p][p]==========[/p][p]Yesterday I released patch v1.4.4, which primarily added support in NNF for the Danish language! If you've got a Danish friend, let them know that nubby has landed in Denmark! I'm very pleased with the efforts of community member Rapandrasmus for the amazing work on the Danish localization! [/p][p][/p][p]Efforts for many more localizations are underway and those will hopefully be added to the game in the coming weeks/months. Thank you to all of the community members who have offered to volunteer, regardless of whether I could accept your offer. There's a lot of really cool people who play this game and simply want to help make it more accessible. It blows me away![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Nubbyday Reveal #1: Nubby Stickers and Keychains Are Coming!:[/p][p]==========[/p][p]In honor of Nubbyday, you'll soon be able to wear nubby on your backpack and stick nubby related things on your wall! [/p][p][/p][p]You heard that right! I wasn't too interested in apparel merchandise like shirts or sweaters, but I figured that stickers and keychains would be a good fit for the type of people who are big fans of nubby. It's subtle, but ones of those if you know you know type of things. This merch drop is just a small thing that I, and a few other nubby lovers in the merch biz have put together.[/p][p][/p][p]If you're interested in picking up a keychain, some stickers, or both - they unfortunately won't be out for a couple months yet because they're being manufactured right now and will then need to ship. Rest assured, when they're available I will be loud about it here and on the community discord server so you can get one before they run out. Now for the fun part.. pictures![/p][p][/p][p]Firstly, the animation below shows what all 6 sticker varieties will look like. I personally made all of the art for these stickers in blender over the past few months. I hope you enjoy these designs because I had a great time making them :][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Next up nubby keychains! Here's a 3D render of our keychain design that I made in blender (we don't have them yet, but our order closely resembles this).[/p][p][/p][p]If you're super into nubby and just want another way to support me as a game developer, this will be your chance to do so and get some limited time nubby merch in the process! Thank you to everyone who's showed interest about this so far and pre-emptive thank you to everyone who will choose to support me![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Nubbyday Reveal #2: Nubby's Steam Points Shop On The Way!:[/p][p]==========[/p][p]Number 2 is the steam community points shop! You'll be able to use your steam points to pick up some nubby themed animated steam avatars, avatar frames and steam profile backgrounds! Also, there will be steam trading cards for nubby. If you're super into nubby and super into steam points shop stuff, you won't have to wait much longer to deck out your profile with nubby stuff.[/p][p][/p][p]I don't have any visuals to show you for this right now because I'd like it to remain a complete surprise, but this is actually happening sooner than the nubby merch drop. Stay tuned for the official points shop launch happening in the next month or so.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Conclusion:[/p][p]==========[/p][p]That's all I've got for now. I made this post mostly as a thank you to the lovely nubby community. Side note, nubby is currently on sale for 50% off on steam as a celebratory nubby day special (to clarify - it will be on sale for the next couple days as well). Though these are just 2 *reveals* for now and not actual releases or anything that you can act on at the moment, I revealed them today as a way to recognize this day as a milestone for myself and for the game. Hopefully these two reveals get you excited for the near future![/p][p][/p][p]Lastly, the official nubby mobile release date is coming sometime in the next 1-2 weeks. Nubby mobile is so close that I can taste it..[/p][p]
