🪆 Important Announcement About Welcome to Doll Town 🎭

Hello everyone,

After reflecting on the incredible feedback we’ve received from the demo, I’ve decided to make a significant change in the direction of Welcome to Doll Town. While the original plan was to release the game in an episodic format, the demo revealed something crucial:
• The Silent Hill-style controls and mechanics don’t resonate as strongly with younger audiences.
• Objectives and storytelling need to be smoother to create the immersive experience I envisioned.

This is exactly what the demo was for—your feedback has been invaluable, and I can’t thank you enough for taking the time to play and share your thoughts.

I know Welcome to Doll Town is highly anticipated, but I refuse to release something half-broken just to meet a deadline. This is more than a game; it’s a deep, sad story that deserves the right medium to be told.

As a solo developer, this project demands everything I have, and I want to do it justice. That’s why I’ve decided to:

Pull the demo from Steam while I reorganize the game’s development.
Reconsider the episodic format and instead focus on delivering a complete, polished experience.
Set a new release date: Halloween 2025—a time that feels more fitting for the full game’s atmosphere and story.

This wasn’t an easy decision, but I truly believe it’s the right one for the game and for you, the players. Thank you for your understanding, patience, and continued support. Welcome to Doll Town is a passion project, and I promise it will be worth the wait.

With gratitude,

📰 New road for Welcome to Doll Town 🎮

Hello everyone,

I’m thrilled to share with you a fresh and exciting direction for the development of Welcome to Doll Town! After much thought, I’ve decided to embrace an episodic format for the game’s release. Here's what that means:

📖 Episodes Unveiled
The game will be released in episodes, each adding a new layer to the story and gameplay experience.
Episode 1 will be completely free on all platforms including PC, Mac, Xbox, PS5, Mobile (Switch will come later), giving everyone the opportunity to dive into the world of Welcome to Doll Town without barriers.
The demo is still scheduled before first release of Episode 1
Subsequent episodes will be unlocked over time, gradually building on the narrative and introducing new challenges, characters, and features.

💡 Why This Vision?
As a solo developer, this approach allows me to:
Focus on Quality: Each episode will be crafted with care, ensuring a polished and immersive experience.
Engage with You: Releasing the game in segments lets me gather feedback, refine future episodes, and make the game even better based on your input.
Sustain Development: Managing a large-scale project as a solo dev is no small feat. By breaking the game into episodes, I can maintain a steady workflow and keep delivering content consistently.
🌟 What to Expect
A deeper connection to the story as it unfolds, giving you time to immerse yourself in the world.
A chance to grow with the game, as your feedback helps shape the future episodes.
An inclusive experience with Episode 1 being free, ensuring that everyone can begin the journey.

This episodic structure isn’t just a logistical decision; it’s a creative one. It mirrors the way we uncover stories in real life—bit by bit, savoring each chapter. It also lets me stay true to the vision of Welcome to Doll Town while balancing the challenges of solo development.

🚀 Stay Tuned!
Episode 1 will be launching soon, and I can’t wait for you to experience it. Keep an eye out for updates, sneak peeks, and announcements about what’s coming next.

Thank you for being part of this journey with me. Your support and enthusiasm mean the world, and I’m so excited to take this next step together. Let’s make Welcome to Doll Town something truly unforgettable.

With gratitude,
