We keep adding awards: EVA 2025!

[p]This past weekend was the Argentina Video Game Expo. We're thrilled because the game was so well-received by all the players and because we shared the space with so many excellent games.[/p][p]We were invited to showcase our game specifically at the Unity booth. Only eight games were selected for that space, so it was an incredible honor for us.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]We were also nominated for five awards: Best Art, Best Design, Best Audio, Press Award, and Best Game at the EVA (Argentine Video Game Expo).[/p][p][/p][p]We won two: the Press Award and Best Audio![/p][p][/p][p]Our musician, Toni Leys, not only won the award for Best Audio but also performed his DJ set, along with Jowie, at the EVA party, where everyone was moshing to his famous remixes of video game tracks.[/p][p][/p][p]Thank you so much to ADVA, the entire national video game press, and everyone who supported us!

If you want to know more about the rest of the event and the other games, I recommend visiting the website https://play.expoeva.com/[/p]

We're really happy with the demo speedruns!

[p]When we started the project, one of our dreams was for someone to speed run our game. We're fans of watching speedruns, and we think it's a form of entertainment similar to watching any other sport. We designed our game with that in mind.[/p][p][/p][p]Julian started uploading videos of the game to social media. His videos didn't show off his full skills, but rather showed how a normal person would play. A speedrunner saw the videos and bragged that he could play better because he thought the game looked easy.[/p][p][/p][p]He was our first speedrunner. When we saw the video, we couldn't believe it. He also had to eat his words because the demo wasn't as easy as he thought. We aimed to make an accessible game that anyone could play, and sometimes that's misleading, as it gives the impression that it's going to be easy.[/p][p][/p][p]Go Slimy Go - Demo Any% Speedrun - WR in 10:50[/p][p] A few months later, I shared the game in a group of Argentinian speedrunners. It was great to see how obsessed they were with the game and the process of setting a real-time record. They spent several days recording themselves and practicing until they reached their best game. It was exciting to watch and accompany them on that journey.[/p][p] Go Slimey Go (Demo) Speedrun - 10:23.74 PB [/p][p]The Argentine speedrunners helped me find a bug that would have been difficult to find on our own. Also, the version they played had some animated sequences that couldn't be skipped. Both the bug and the latter have now been fixed, so I'm extremely grateful for their help.[/p][p]
Now we have just one question left: Would anyone be willing to speedrun the demo and collect 100% of the coins?

Awards from IDA and release date announcement

[p]We are happy to tell you that last month we won four awards in Indie Dev Argentina. It was super exciting for us because so many people were able to try the game, and everyone seemed to enjoy it! We're very happy that everyone is liking the game so much.[/p][p][/p][p]We also didn't expect to win four awards at the event: [/p][p]- Best Game Design[/p][p]- Excellence in Audio[/p][p]- Press Over Award[/p][p]- Best Video Game of IDA 2025 [/p][p][/p][p]Thank you so much to IDA, Press Over, and everyone who came to play! [/p][p]Also, this week we were interviewed about the awards by Press Over! It was the first time that the full team met in person. All of us live in Argentina except Chabbie, who is currently living in Japan. [/p][p][/p][p]Chabbie is visiting Argentina, so we took the opportunity to do an interview with our friends at Press Over. The interview was fantastic, and you can watch it on YouTube. Currently, it's only in Spanish.[/p][p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p] [/p][p]We want to take this opportunity to announce that we'll be releasing the game on Steam in November of this year, if all goes well. [/p][p]We hope you continue to enjoy the demo in the meantime and keep recommending it to your friends![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Toni Leys, Tembac and Joaco receiving the awards!
