Difficulty Update - 2025.03.31

The Office Map

To increase productivity of lost employees, we have now added a map to the lobby to help them visualize the office.

Entities

We've received complaints at HR regarding some.. uncooperative coworkers on the office floor. We've implemented some new policies to help employees perform their overtime tasks with less frustrating interruptions. This includes taking away the coffee machines from the break room, so that some entities are a bit slower. We've also enabled the sixth sense of any overtime employees, so that you can visually sense if an entity is closeby.

Changelog
 • Added a map to the lobby
 • Increased audio ranges on each entity
 • Reduced movement speed of certain entities, as well as preventing them from spawning on top of you
 • Added a visual distortion of the screen whenever the player is close to an entity, so that you have a visual and auditory cue
 • Added a setting to permanently toggle the crosshair
 • Gameover will now contain a simple reason as to why
 • A prompt should now appear when Steam is not correctly initialized, as we rely on it for our Input API
 • Moved an intercom away from a door to prevent getting stuck
 • Fixed multiple anomaly interactions that could lead to softlocks
 • Fixed Office Tour achievement being unachievable
 • Adjusted colliders of some objects
 • Hired a new receptionist

Hotfix - 2025.03.28

 • Reduced reoccurance rate of anomalies slightly

Overtime Anomaly, out now!

Overtime Anomaly is out now, so time to head out there and finish your work, you do want that promotion after all... right?

I hope you enjoy the game, we've had a lot of fun developing it, and despite knowing how the sausage is made for this game, I still get terrified whenever I am playtesting. We tried to deliver an evolution to the traditional anomaly game genre, and I believe we've succeeded.

As for what's next, we have a few potential post release updates planned, expect these to come out in the week(s) after the game's release. The main roadmap features we still have now is Steam Input API and Control Rebinding, adding additional easter eggs and secret endings, as potentially some cool new anomalies.

Whether you have bug reports, feature requests, complaints, or simply praise about the game, we would love to hear from you. The best (fastest) way to contact us is through our Discord server, but we will also monitor the Steam Discussions and our email.

That's all from me, now quit slacking and continue your work! You don't want your 401k to be... terminated right?

Steam Deck Compatibility

A question we often get asked is whether we support Steam Deck, and the answer to that is a resounding yes.

This post is just to give you a bit more of an idea of what to expect while we're waiting on Steam's official rating.
Controls & Navigation
Since we were going for full controller support for this game, it only makes sense we have support for Steam Deck as well. Controls aren't rebindable in-game, but there aren't many complicated controls needed in the game so we believe this is fine.
Performance
To give you a better idea of how performance will look, here are a variety of graphics settings combinations and configured TDP values, to give you a better idea of performance.

We have to main quality setting, overall game, and shadow quality. Both have 3 options, High, Medium, and Low.

High - High at 15W TDP struggles past 45fps
High - Low at 15w hits solid 60fps

Medium - Medium at 10W TDP hits a stable 60fps

Low - Low at 7W TDP hits stable 60fps
Low - Low at 5W TDP dips right under 30fps
Low - Low at 15W TDP is solid 110fps, most of the time 120fps

Our suggestion is to play the game at High quality, Low Shadows for the best visual experience whilst maintaining rock-solid performance. The shadow option limits the range at which shadows load in, which is only noticeable in large rooms of the game. Due to the Deck's smaller screen size, the reduced shadow resolution also isn't that noticeable.

Should you still experience some issues with Deck, you can let us know through either Steam discussions or in our Discord server.

Now back to work!
