Playtest Hotfixes
"I am currently in my last few weeks of university for the year, so I will only have time to look over feedback while I study for exams (no hot-fixes this time)." - Nathan, one week ago.

I lied, here's a hotfix update from the playtest feedback!

Updates
• [p]Added collision to walls[/p]
 • [p]Changed cursor offset (navigating menu's should be easier now)[/p]
 • [p]Changed the Cocoa Icon to better reflect the in-game model[/p]
 • [p]Moved the sink UI higher to not be covered by the players head[/p]
 • [p]Washing dishes now works with holding the input (water levels no longer change)[/p]
 • [p]Drinks now empty when NPCs are done with them[/p]
 • [p]Receipts now say "table \[number]" for clearer communication[/p]
 • [p]Fixed spelling errors in pop-up windows[/p]
Known Issues
• [p]We're getting a weird issue where the game completely breaks near the end of the day, or something around that. You'll notice it when NPCs bubbles don't update their position and pausing the game no longer works, we'll need to further investigate this.[/p]
 • [p]I have also been getting an error about an infinite loop in-engine. I've added a print comment around when this occurs, so I'm curious if the game breaks at the same time you may see "Reset Chair Tags" in little blue writing in the top left of the screen.[/p]
 • [p]Please don't give any feedback on the upgrades or end day menu as this will be completely redesigned and updated.[/p]
 • [p]I think level progression only goes to day 3 or 5, so the game with probably break after that (again no feedback on this)[/p]
 • [p]Settings are still a WIP so things like difficulty, gamepad options and remapping isn't going to work 100%. What should work is video and sound settings. [/p]
 • [p]Controller navigation in settings with buttons that are disabled will break, so please don't report this.[/p]
 • [p]Any feedback or bug reports on gameplay is welcome![/p]
Feedback
[p]Thanks to those who were able to jump on a call and share their playtesting session with me! Sorry to those who missed out, we'll try to do more in the future. This time around, if you could please play the game yourself and share your thoughts and impressions, that would be great![/p][p]You can either fill out the form or post on the community page.[/p]

New Update and Feedback Survey

2025 Update
[p][/p][p]Hey Playtesters![/p][p]It’s hard to believe it’s already been a year since the last update! Over that time, I’ve been refining the foundations of Cocoa Loco, improving the backend and implementing as much of your feedback on the settings and interface as I can.[/p][p]Gameplay remains mostly the same, however you’ll hopefully notice a few subtle changes that makes everything feel a little bit nicer.[/p][p][/p]
What I need from you!
1. [p]Play the demo (preferably let's set a time for me to watch on the Discord)[/p]
 2. [p]Fill in the survey - Tell the 3 Most Crucial Things that need to be worked on![/p]
 3. [p]Bug test - come across a game breaking / progress blocking bug? Report it in the Discord, the Community Hub Discussions or as a comment on this post.[/p][p][/p]
Future Updates
[p]I am currently in my last few weeks of university for the year, so I will only have time to look over feedback while I study for exams (no hot-fixes this time). However by mid-November, when my schedule is free from all other deadlines, I will be diving straight into development with my primary focus being on getting a playable demo ready for TGX, where I plan on showcasing next year![/p][p]The feedback you give will be crucial in making sure the showcase build for TGX is best it can be! With hopes of getting the the official steam page and playable demo on Steam after the event.[/p][p][/p]
Conclusion
[p]Thanks for being part of playtesting, I hope the new update isn't completely broken for you! I look forward to your feedback and please let me know your honest thoughts on the game so far.[/p][p] [/p]

Hello Playtesters!

Welcome to the first of hopefully many updates for the Cocoa Loco Playtest build!

This update adds a few small quality of life features to help with playtesting:
 • Added a welcome pop-up screen when players first launch the game
 • Added buttons that link to an online feedback form
