Balance & QoL changes - patch 1.0.1A

[p][/p][p]Hello conquerors,[/p][p]Thank you for all the feedback you’ve been sharing about Lone Soul! Since launch we’ve released hotfixes for critical issues, and after testing it we’re ready with the first patch.[/p][p]Our main focus is improving the overall balance, especially enemy damage output, dash cooldown timing, and how difficulty ramps between floors. All to keep you engaged no matter if it's your first run or you already put a lot of diffuculty modifiers to finish up the campaign. Let's take a look at the whole list:[/p]
Gameplay
  • [p]Fixed a rare issue where enemies could become invisible[/p]
  • [p]Fixed enemy spawn limit not working in the first chamber[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a missing barrier in one dungeon chamber[/p]
  • [p]Fixed shield orbs spawning outside the player area[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a gold exploit[/p]
  • [p]Improved performance on Floor 3[/p]
Balance changes
  • [p]Decreased dash cooldown from 2.2 to 1.5 s[/p]
  • [p]Increased enemy health and damage and the curve of their empowerment[/p]
  • [p]Increased health of patrons’ companions[/p]
  • [p]Increased bosses health[/p]
  • [p]Adjusted various in-game resources drops[/p]
  • [p]Increased thunder damage of the Lightning ultimate ability[/p]
  • [p]Increased collider size in the Control Zone challenge type[/p]
Sound and audio
  • [p]Fixed various missing sound effects[/p]
  • [p]Fixed various missing voice over lines

  • [p]Pausing the menu with a gamepad at the base can get you stuck; use mouse or keyboard to exit[/p]
  • [p]When acquiring the challenge “Reduced runes at the Monument of the Patron” on gamepad, there are issues with selling runes[/p]

Lone Soul is OUT NOW

[p][/p][p]Hello Conquerors,[/p][p]The time of waiting is over. The gates of the tower are finally opened for you to start your excursion from the tower base floating above through 3 dangerous floors to reach the tower core and rescue Revellia.
[/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p]Here is everything you can expect from the full version of Lone Soul:[/p]
  • [p]A stylish combat system based on combos. Use a variety of attacks to increase your damage![/p]
  • [p]3 different biomes: Mythical Forest, Endless Dungeon, Cosmic Reef, each with distinct variants and different moods.[/p]
  • [p]5 rune trees per patron (20 in total), giving you full build flexibility and powerful abilities at the end.[/p]
  • [p]48 gear pieces, each with a fully representative 3D model, that further enhance your skills.[/p]
  • [p]A full story campaign featuring English VO, with small side stories and patrons commenting on your moves in the tower.[/p]
  • [p]Gate of Challenges, unlocked after your first finished run, with a set of different gameplay modifiers for a more hardcore challenge.[/p]
  • [p]Obelisk of Glory, in-game achievements rewarding you with additional resource upgrades.[/p]
  • [p]Patrons’ companions (available via a rune tree) that support you during battle.[/p]
[p]The game is designed so that whether you are a hardcore action roguelite player or you prefer pure hack-and-slash action and don’t want to keep dodging attacks, we’ve got you covered. And there will be plenty of content to obtain and upgrade.[/p][p]We know the current economy is tough, so we’ve decided to keep the price as low as we can, at $16.99. However, if you would like to support us, we’ve also made a special Supporter Edition with a couple of small gifts, including a base decoration, supporter badge, and official artbook.

  • [p]Performance on floor 3 might be slightly lower compared to 1 and 2.[/p]

Lone Soul - 0.9.7 Demo Update

[p]Hello Conquerors,[/p][p]While we continue working hard to prepare everything for the October 20th release, we're also making constant improvements here and there. To give you a taste of the upcoming build, we've decided to update the demo once again.[/p][p]If you haven’t tried it yet, now is the perfect time. And remember, your progression carries over to the full game, so you can gear up in advance and have your character ready for the full tower excursion on release day.[/p][p] [dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p]Here's what's new:[/p][p]Gamepad Improvements[/p][p]We're continuing to enhance the gamepad experience, both in combat and especially in the UI. Various elements have been polished to feel smoother and more intuitive. For example, in the rune tree, the default path is now followed automatically, letting you apply upgrades within seconds.[/p][p]Improved AI and Enemy Positioning[/p][p]To raise the intensity of combat, smaller units like healers will now try to flee from you. We’ve also added more randomized enemy spawns, including the ability for multiple enemies to spawn in the same location, making each encounter less predictable.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]And remember: all of this comes on top of the massive previous demo updates. Lone Soul is coming on October 20th!

[p][/p][p]Hello Conquerors,[/p][p]Today we have exciting news for you. Lone Soul is almost ready to ship and will launch on Steam on Monday, October 20th! [/p][p]As a reminder, we're aiming for a full release on day one, no Early Access. You'll be able to explore three different biomes (so far we've only shown the first one, with more surprises coming soon), a Gate of Challenges with additional gameplay modifiers, and a full-fledged story featuring in-game cutscenes, full English voice-over, and a true ending.[/p][p]To celebrate the release date, we also have a new demo update to keep you engaged and hooked until the full version arrives. One of the recurring feedback points was that some attacks lacked precision, and certain players didn’t feel fully in control of their combos. We’ve addressed this by adding an auto lock-on system for enemies, which you can still adjust as needed. Combos should feel sharper than ever now.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Crystals reworked
Through rune tree unlocks, you can gain the ability to spawn and attach crystals to enemies. When destroyed, these trigger powerful effects. We've reworked the system to better balance it with other upgrade paths, improved visibility and added the ability for crystals to move between enemies. Try it out and let us know what you think.

Lone Soul - 0.9.5 Demo Update

[p][/p][p]Hello Conquerors,[/p][p]Over the past few weeks, since the release of the major 0.9 demo update, we've been focusing on improving progression satisfaction, gameplay variety and adding a new set of quality-of-life improvements.
[/p][p]We’ve decided not to keep these changes exclusive to the full release and instead give you a proper taste of what’s coming in the form of the new 0.9.5 demo update. This is not the end of our journey to refine the experience, but from now on our main focus shifts to delivering new content for the full version.
[/p][p]This extra development time means we won’t be launching in Q3 2025. The current plan is to release in October. A full announcement is coming very soon!

We’ve streamlined the rune tree. Each path now consists of regular sockets (where you can place any rune type) and more powerful sockets that require dedicated runes. Within each element, only the corresponding essence is used, making resource management more clear and intuitive.[/p][p][/p][p]Affinity Bounds
We’ve made bonding with a patron more satisfying by introducing a set of passive upgrades tied to the tree path you’re currently investing in. These bonuses expand your build variety and help you decide which direction to take.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Tutorial Adjustments
One of the most common pieces of feedback was information overload in the tutorial. We've reduced how much is shown at once, and now the information is spread out between the tutorial run and your first two excursions into the tower.[/p][p][/p][p]New Rune Tree Skills & Companions
To make reaching the end of a rune path more rewarding, we’ve overhauled the skills you gain after socketing a specific number of runes. The highlight of these changes is the addition of companions. By forming a strong enough bond with a patron, you can now summon a spirit tied to one of the four elements.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Upgrading Items
Upgrading your gear is essential for handling the growing threat inside the chaos tower. A new character, the Forgekeeper, now allows you to upgrade your equipment using elemental essence. Each item can be improved up to one of five levels.[/p][p][/p][p]Reworked Ultimates
One of the biggest visual upgrades in this patch is the rework of ultimate skills. Besides new VFX, we’ve also added custom cameras to make unleashing these powerful abilities more satisfying than ever.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Prophecy Rooms
Instead of purchasing prophecies from the trader, you’ll now encounter special chambers where, after defeating all enemies, three altars with prophecies appear.
