DevLog 10: Meet The Cast: R.I.P. Tide Posse

Hailing from the sunny and deadly, R.I.P. Tide Coast, this gang of beach bully bad boys also happen to be half-shark half-men, 100% Sharkmen. When they aren’t partying on the beach with bodacious babes, or hanging ten on some gnarly waves, they are wreaking havoc on the highways along the coast.

Very little frightens them, more confident in a puka necklace and socks with sandals than anything else, there are only two things they fear, the devil herself and the meanest of them all: their ruthless and mysterious leader, Johnny Splash. [NOT pictured. Headshots are $20, autographs are $50]

Equipped with jet skis and the raw unmatched power of their incredible shark teeth, this shiver of sharky bad boys are on the hunt to stop Lucky from reaching the end she would be so close to achieving in their territory.

DevLog 9: Meet The Cast: Theta Theta Psi Sorority

Almost unintelligible with insider lingo speak, these late teens, early twenties kids of rich families got where they are by selling their souls to the devil and making multi-generational demonic pacts. For many, participating in evil rituals about sacrificing innocents are some of their earliest and fondest memories with their parents.

Their parents attend secret society meetings where they plan to buy and corrupt politicians, blackmail world leaders, and use the media to manipulate the masses. These Socialite kids, meanwhile, mostly just attend parties, get messed up, or go joyriding in their expensive cars and commit the occasional murder for the fun of it.

They are so similar. Are they all related? No, they just go to the same plastic surgeon, and the same personal trainer, and wear the same matching outfits, and think the same thoughts, and anyone even one inch shorter or taller than the rest get subbed in for ritual sacrifice during rush week. Many dark rituals are performed by their wealthy parents during their adolescence to make sure their daughter is exactly an acceptable Theta Theta Psi five feet and six inches by the time she is a pledge. Don’t begin to ask what evils they’ve done to ensure that they have no cellulite.

The demonic magic that got them their fashionable possessions saturates them, enabling them to be used for random acts of violence. Normally content to attack other drivers and pedestrians, these sorority girls have had their demonic contracts activated and now turn their evil designer brand items to dealing with Lucky.

DevLog 8: Meet the Cast: Ximena

No-nonsense and cheeky flirt mechanic Ximena loves to help. She’s no pushover, but she loves to flex by showing off her strength and skills. Need your oil changed? Easy work. Want help moving a couch? No problem, she’ll do most of the lifting.

While she’s almost comically determined to prove herself, she plays it really cool. She prefers to joke and keep things light, and despite all of her friendly efforts, she keeps people at an arm’s length and separate from her inner world. Before her death on Route 66, she had worked as a local mechanic and lived nearby even longer, though her home often changed. She’s one of the few reapers who didn’t die passing through.

DevLog 7: Meet the Cast: The Zomboyz

The Zomboyz are a chaotic band of zombified psychobilly punks. Addicted to adrenaline, carnage, and rock’n’roll, they have a joint mission of both stopping Lucky and seeing how far they can send their limbs flying in a radical explosion.

The Zomboyz originate from an epic concert in the desert, set up by a famous Psychobilly band. Trying their best to make a memorable rager, the band turned to ancient demonic texts and rituals for inspiration for the show. Unknowingly, the texts and symbols possessed real magic and they accidentally turned the entire wrecking pit into unwitting sacrifices to the devil. Instantly dead, and instantly rebirthed as the undead, many of the crowd, caught up in how metal it all was, willingly threw themselves into the sacrificial circle to be “wrecked” as they later would call it. The hard-core circumstances of their creation made them eternal servants to the devil and to the creation of ungodly and bombastic (with emphasis on the bomb) chaos.

To this day, the most hardcore adrenaline seekers return to the site of that concert to be wrecked and join the legions of carnage loving zombie freaks.

DevLog 6: Meet the Cast: The Skeleton Crew

In the 1950’s, the military experimented with nuclear weapons in the desert. In one tragic incident, experimenting with a new novel form of radiation, something went horribly wrong. Many died. The bases were closed down, and the entire situation was covered up. That was not the last of those sickly souls, however, and through the unknown properties of the strange radiation, their irradiated corpses rose once again. Their flesh melted off, revealing walking skeletons, glowing from the radiation that they themselves now emit.

Now these former soldiers and military scientists continue their former goals of advancing their scientific and technological knowledge to create powerful weapons. Working out of their long-abandoned bases and working with whatever old tech they can scrounge up and repair, they develop and employ deceptively high-tech weapons and vehicles which they use to defend their territory. They are no longer bound by the rules of a government, nor to mortal morality. They have become The Skeleton Crew.
