Sneak Peek on the upcoming update!

Hello Community!

We have been working hard over the entire week to complete the upcoming huge update but, unfortunately, we’re still missing a few hours to make sure everything works as intended. For this reason, we have to postpone this update for Monday – but we’d also like to give you a sneak peek of the incoming changes! What will come with the new update:

  1. Brandon world event has been moved to a new location in the North, being placed near the Lord’s Wrath Abbey, in the central part of the Midland-Ismir link
  2. Brand new world event – Sangmar-themed raid – has been added! Not only it takes place in a unique fortress and tells a new story of Sirius the Exile, a veteran of the war between Sangmar Empire and Midlanders, but also makes use of several new mechanics, one of these being...
  3. Fire projectiles for catapults! You’ll be able to set the wooden fortification on fire with burning projectiles. We already love it! https://gph.is/g/a9ppvro
    And speaking of catapults...
  4. A further iteration of the siege engines and sieges overall – we did many tweaks basing on your feedback and recorded data, and we’re finally moving the sieges balance towards using the siege engines instead of axes and torches. Battles over castles will get even more epic and intense!

Also, join us for a PVP event this weekend! It will start at 9:00 PM GMT (Saturday, May 18). Join us in the arena on the [NorthAmerica] Aquilla server and fight for fame in 5v5 battles. The winners will be immortalized on the in-game monuments and every participant will be rewarded – to arms!

By the way, we’d like to remind that we’re hunting all potential issues with the State of War and guild mechanics and that players who report critical problems with working reproduction will be rewarded, while exploiting such issues can end with an appropriate punishment. Thank you for obeying the rules!

See you in battle!

An extra update – let's start the week with a load of improvements and fixes! (Update v.0.8.8.8.6.1 – Steam Patch 175)

Hello warriors!

Let’s start this week with some load of gameplay improvements and fixes! It’s just a mid-week hotfix – we’re going to apply a regular update closer to the end of this week too – but it solves some unexpected troubles which we experienced after the latest weekly update, which affected the servers performance and prevented some players from logging in with selected characters. We would like to apologize everyone affected by this issues – for this reason, every user who was playing between the last update and today's hotfix, when the performance problems occurred, has received a compensation in Contribution Points. Likely, the players who experienced troubles with logging in with their characters have been given Ambers as a thank-you gift, since this problem was caused by one of the skins.

Once again, we’d like to ask you to forgive us these turbulences – and thank you all for your awesome support! It’s a very demanding project to work on, but to see so many players caring of it and engaged in its development is the greatest reward possible for any developer. Kudos!

See you in battle!

Gameplay improvements:

– Disabled generating the Siege Points during the Nightlock to prevent spawning the siege engines at night in order to prevent the occurrence of entire towns being destroyed at night
– Added disabling the static siege engines during the Nightlock in order to prevent the occurrence of entire towns being destroyed at night
– Updated the siege engines speed – from now on, a siege engine achieves 70% of maximum speed with even only 1 player pushing (the maximum value is still capped at 100% with max number of players)
– Reduced the number of Siege Points generated over time by 50% due to gathered data and feedback
– Removed the timer from the Upcoming Events icon under minimap – this timer remained after replacing the VoD icon with the Upcoming Events button
– Updated the Nightlock’s description displayed in the buffs section and the system log

Fixes:

– Fixed an issue causing that some players who owned one of the helm skins couldn’t log in with female characters over the weekend and rewarded these players with Ambers as a compensation – it can be redeemed in the Notifications Center
– Fixed an issue causing the server-side performance degrading over time, which was occurring over the weekend, and rewarded all users who played in this time with Contribution Points as a compensation – it can be redeemed in the Notifications Center
– Fixed an issue causing everlasting State of War on neutral guild provinces, securing the potential exploit where a guild would abandon a province and capture it again to clear the tokens put on the province
– Fixed feints when the attacks were performed with keybinds
– Fixed stacking resources in the guild storehouse chests
– Fixed an issue causing that the siege engines chassis durability was 10 times too high

Sieges User Experience update! (Update v.0.8.8.8.6 – Steam Patch 174)

Hello warriors!

A new weekly update is live! The last 2 updates weren’t as large as the prior ones – that's because we were working hard on numerous epic features. The first of them has just been soft-launched with today update: player-spawned siege engines! From now on, both the attackers and defenders can deploy catapults and battering rams in the area of frontline locations. We plan to expand this system by the next week, so we will be able to introduce the siege system fully on nation-controlled flags. Time for the battles to get even more intense!

But that's not all - you can expect more exciting changes to come within the next 3-4 updates! Check out our recent Work In Progress insight to see what’s coming in the very next few weeks!

See you in battle!

Changelog v.0.8.8.8.6

Sieges & User Experience:

– Soft-launched spawning the catapults and battering rams by players; they can be spawned in the frontline locations (all forts and castles, except for temples and guild provinces as for now) by both attackers and defenders by talking to the Siege Engines Keeper, who can be found in siege camps and inside the nation-controlled castles and forts, purchasing them for Siege Points gained for remaining in the area of a frontline location; we plan to expand this system next week as we'll be polishing it, so we will be able to introduce the siege system fully for the nation-controlled flags - until then, the siege engines aren't fully required to assault locations
– Added Siege Engines Keeper NPC with a dialog explaining the siege engines spawning mechanics
– Introduced the Upcoming Events window which lists the available world events, describing their lore background and how to start them – this change was done to increase awareness of the available content
– From now on, each new character starts in 15 free crafting levels, which can be freely distributed between all available crafting professions during the character creation, and expanded the list of recipes known from the start by characters of various archetypes with tier 2 recipes in order to let the newcomers interested in crafting progress more smoothly, without grinding recipes giving products equal to or worse than the starting equipment
– Moved giants near Hordun Temple to a further place to prevent exploiting them using the Hordun Temple’s guards
– Increased HP of hippos to improve balance in “The Abandoned Route” world event
– Updated some of the linen shirt models
– Added another complete skin set which fits the Hamrammir’s Heavy Helm (skin for the Ismirean Black Gaurd’s Heavy Armour) – you can purchase all parts of the set separately or the whole set with a discount

Fixes:

– Fixed an issue causing that a player could receive the Traitor status during the Valley of Death tournament
– Fixed an issue allowing to shoot players with a bow through stairs inside the stone keep in player-controlled locations
– Fixed an issue causing displaying a doubled notification at the end of a dice game
– Fixed looting hippos
– Fixed Polish translations of long axes

WIP insight - epic stuff coming tomorrow and in the very next updates!

Hello warriors!

We are finishing work on this week’s regular update. However, it became clear for us that we won’t be able to apply it today – we need an extra day to test it through. In the meantime, we’d like to share with you an insight of what we’re working on, and what can you expect to come within the 3-4 next updates. Epic stuff is coming!

Work in Progress insight:

Mounts

We’re working hard to soft-launch horses – hopefully in the very next few updates! The first iteration will include mounts as a transport method. Then we will focus on polishing them before we move to another huge milestone: mounted combat. We’re excited to see it in-game soon!

Sieges update

Soon you will be able to deploy catapults and battering rams on your own! We hope to soft-launch the siege engines spawning system tomorrow, for both attackers and defenders. Then we plan to expand it next week, so we will be able to introduce the siege system fully on nation-controlled flags. Battles will get even more intense!

World events balance

Brandon the Raubritter goes North! We’re almost finished moving the Brandon’s world event to a new place according to the announced plan of the world balance update and we’re working with full power on introducing a new world event, placed in between of Midlandic and Sangmarian lands, to mirror the Brandon and Ragi’s locations. We believe it will be truly epic content!

User Experience update

The last but not least – thanks to the significant influx of new players due to the recent sale, we were able to gather a lot of data which we will use to improve the overall user experience. First of all, we will ad the Events window which will list and describe the existing world events in order to increase awareness of the available content. We’re also working on explaining various existing interface elements better and several improvements for new players. We believe that these changes will make the game much more enjoyable as a whole!

Disclaimer about exploits

We’re receiving reports about specific players using macros or other third-party enhancements in combat. We would like to remind that using such aids is forbidden and players which will be confirmed to use them will be banned. If you would see such a situation happen, please record it on video and share it with us as described here. We will take the required steps as soon as we confirm the given report. Also, thanks to the already received reports on suspicious actions, we will be able to improve the anti-cheat security, which we are working on at the moment.
