Update 0.4.5 Now On Experimental Branch
[p]Howdy Folks![/p][p][/p][p]Thank you all for playing and sharing your thoughts on the game. Your feedback has been vital in helping me understand what’s working and what needs improvement. I previously mentioned that new content would debut on the experimental branch—I'm excited to announce that the first update is now live![/p][p][/p]
What Is The Experimental Branch and How Do I Get Access?
[p]The experimental branch serves as a dedicated testing environment for upcoming major updates. It offers a first look at new features and levels that are nearly finished but still undergoing final adjustments. I invite anyone who wants to play an active role in the development process to join this branch and share their thoughts.[/p][p][/p][p]Learn More and How To Access:[/p][p]https://steamcommunity.com/app/3286440/discussions/1/765186201415292050/ [/p][p][/p]
How Do I Give Feedback?
[p]Please post your feedback related to the experimental branch on the Steam forum post for that release or in the #experimental Discord channel. Separating these reports ensures that I can distinguish between experimental build issues and those related to the main branch.[/p][p][/p][p]0.4.5 Experimental Release Info & Patch Notes[/p][p][/p][p]What Feedback Should I Give?[/p][p]As new content will generally include new levels to play, I am particularly interested in being able to complete the level as well as what you like and what you did not like about your experience. This goes for new mechanics as well. How does a new mechanic feel? Does it add to the experience? Was it hard to understand? Any and all feedback is welcome.[/p][p][/p]
What's The New Content?
[p][/p]
New Levels
[p]Junction Refuge[/p][p]
[/p][p]Junction refuge is now available for testing. There is a second level that will be added to the experimental branch later this week and is currently undergoing some final tweaking.[/p][p][/p]
New Cleaning Mechanic
[p]The washing tool now features a secondary fire mode that emits a high-pressure water beam, allowing you to break down recyclable objects into smaller, vacuumable scrap. We have also introduced a new category of cleanable objects: static destructible items. While these objects cannot be moved, they can be dismantled into scrap for easy vacuuming and recycling.[/p][p][/p][p]
[/p][p][/p][p]This new mechanic is available across both new and existing levels. To improve consistency, several objects in previous levels have been replaced with destructible versions that now require cleanup. These items will be highlighted when using radar mode, making them easy to identify during your sweep.[/p][p][/p]
Cleaning Speed
[p]This update includes a fix for cleaning speeds that were inadvertently slowed down in the live build. After identifying that these times didn't match internal testing, I've tuned the system to its intended settings. You should notice a smoother, more efficient cleaning experience across all levels.[/p][p][/p]
When Will This Update Be Released On The Main Branch?
[p]That is a great question! While I don't have a definitive date yet, the official launch will depend on the feedback and any issues identified during experimental branch testing. As a general estimate, please expect at least a week of testing before it transitions to the main branch. A separate Steam announcement will be posted as soon as it goes live for everyone.[/p][p][/p][p] Follow & Support[/p][p] Wishlist | Discord | Patreon[/p][p][/p]
