A welcome letter from the devs
Hi there Truckers!
Michal here. I’m the CEO of Road Studio and the creative director of Road Truckers: New Beginning. If you played our previous game, Alaskan Road Truckers, you’ll know this is a follow up - but as you can see, it’s different in some aspects.
It’s a trucker sim at core, but in many ways deeper and richer than Alaskan - to the point where we can call it a trucking RPG. And it embraces the fact that even simulators are video games, made to be fun and satisfying. Our top priority is to deliver a quality game - the entire development is rooted in this assumption.
So what’s new when compared to Alaskan? Basically the things you’ve been asking for when talking about Alaskan.
Truck customization options are now greatly expanded and include replacing truck parts and full truck customization. You can replace and repaint anything you want, from the bumper to the steering wheel to the gearshift knob.
The setting has changed - it’s no longer Alaska. It’s our fictional setting which was designed to be fun and rewarding to drive through and explore. By not being bound to the real world setting, we can offer much more variety and challenges, with interesting roads to take. There are characters to meet, quests to perform, goals to achieve.
I could go on, but maybe just take a look at this chart to understand the evolution of the series.
Our total focus is on the technical quality. The game is what we’ve dedicated a year of our lives to so far, and we won’t let this time go to waste. We want New Beginning to be impactful, rewarding, memorable, fresh, beautiful, and simply fun to play. We want to give you a true role-playing trucking experience.
Will we succeed? You will be the judge of that. I invite you to follow the development with us. We’re proud of what we already have, and we will talk openly about it.
