Ragdoll Physics Experiments won Best Indie Game at Game Anglia Festival 2026

[p]Today was properly surreal.[/p][p]We exhibited RMF’s Ragdoll Physics Experiments at Game Anglia Festival 2026, met loads of super talented students each on their own journeys into the world of game development. It was an honour to spend the day surrounded by so many people who genuinely love making games. The festival celebrates the East of England games scene and was hosted at the University of Suffolk.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]And then the awards happened… and RPX won Best Independent Game.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Thank you to Game Anglia for putting on such a welcoming event, and to everyone who came over to play, give feedback, laugh at the chaos, and ask the kind of questions that make me want to sprint back to my dev cave and add even more stupid and unnecessary features.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Huge congrats to the rest of the showcase lineup too. It was stacked.[/p][p]If you’ve been following along for a while, this one means a lot. We’re a tiny team, building something comical, physics-heavy, and intentionally ridiculous, and getting recognition for it is a proper boost.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]This is our second award and we’ve only done two shows so far. As usual genuinely proud. So, thank you for wishlisting, sharing clips, leaving feedback, and generally enabling our terrible ideas. I;ve said it before and I'll say it again. You’re the reason we get to keep making this.[/p]
Demo Update - 0.4.2g
Welcome to the third update following the launch of the demo.
[p]Still prepping for Next Fest, we really wanted to get out some fixes and improvements for things we've spotted watching the amazing streamers playing the game. [/p][p]And there is still one huge huge update feature that is still to come so keep em peeled for that one.[/p][p]Version 0.4.2g[/p]
• [p]The VoF has a new shiney face![/p]
• [p]Added fun new animations to the splash intro sequence.[/p]
• [p]Bowling ball room has had a maker over AND is now an actual challenge.[/p]
• [p]Fixes issue in previous update that allowed you to speed up the intro more than you should.[/p]
• [p]Newtons nonsense room has had another make over.[/p]
• [p]Removed stairs gag due to timing issues. (if requested enough it will come back)[/p]
• [p]Tweaked the hologram system for placing objects (still WIP).[/p]
• [p]Moved remaining SFX into the volume handlers.[/p]
• [p]Replaced many glass panels[/p]
• [p]A huge amount of visual dressing around the levels.[/p]
• [p]Added proper sounds to the piano.[/p]
• [p]Replaced the place holder elevator music.[/p]
• [p]Many minor fixes from things highlighted by our magnificent playtesters.[/p]
• [p]So many little fixes and updates [/p]
• [p]Tweaked free Boat Setup so it is less likely to get stuck in the ceiling. (Notice I said less)[/p][p] [/p]
[p]Current Known Issues:[/p]
• [p]Some Ragdolls are a little performance sensitive.[/p]
• [p]The game freezes for a moment when you first enter the mini sandbox. - We know the cause for this, it will be resolved but it's a big job.[/p]
• [p]Sometimes the visuals are a bit fuzzy. Fixed by going into the clipboard menu and leaving again. - We know the cause for this, it will be resolved but it's an even bigger job![/p]
• [p]Sometimes the speed up cutscene hold doesn't work with the mouse. - Wierd one that one... no idea at this stage.[/p]
• [p]The visuals when using the lower graphics settings need sorting out... yeah I know. It will happen I promise![/p]
[p]Thanks again for all your support. Don't forget to join us in the discord to give your feedback... That is the biggest reason we are able to do these updates.[/p][p]
Cheers
Rory.[/p]

Ragdoll Physics Experiments won 1st place at The Very Big Indie Pitch!

[p]We’ve got some properly lovely news to share…[/p][p]RMF’s Ragdoll Physics Experiments just won 1st place at The Very Big Indie Pitch (PC + Console Edition) at Pocket Gamer Connects London![/p][p][/p][p]If you’ve never heard of The Very Big Indie Pitch, it’s basically a rapid-fire speed dating style setup where developers get five minutes at six tables to present their game and get grilled (politely) with questions and feedback from two judges at each table. [/p][p]It’s one of those events where you learn very quickly what’s landing, what’s confusing, and what people want more of.[/p][p]And the most amazing part of it all was that we won. With such strong competition we were very suprised but it just goes to show that there is clearly something special about a game that combines Stanley Parable with Garry's Mod and puts it in the Apperture Science labs. [/p][p][/p][p]This was held at Pocket Gamer Connects in London and honestly, we had the best time.[/p][p]Over the two days we got to watch loads of people play, laugh, and immediately do irresponsible things with gravity. [/p][p]We also had some brilliant chats about what players love most, like the weird little discoveries hidden around the facility, the freedom to build your own nonsense contraptions, and of course the Voice of the Facility judging you like it’s writing a performance review.[/p][p][/p][p]This is our first ever award and we’re genuinely chuffed. So, thank you for wishlisting, sharing clips, leaving feedback, and generally enabling our terrible ideas.

You’re the reason we get to keep making this.[/p]
