Update 2: Escape Hatch

[p]Two weeks after launch, our second major update smashes open the emergency exit and escapes onto Steam - adding a whole new way to replay campaigns…[/p][p][/p][p]This was a very popular request from players who wanted to be able to replay campaign maps without knowing exactly where everything is. Thanks to everyone for your feedback and especially those who voted in our development poll so far. [/p][p][/p][p]FYI - the game has now been out for 2 weeks. This is our second major update (+3 smaller patches). We are working at full speed and you can read more about what we are working on at the end of this post.[/p][p]
[/p][h2]Escape Hatch[/h2][p]After completing a Campaign level, a new option will open up: the Escape Hatch mode.[/p][p][/p][p]Enabling it lets Survivors use a new exit to leave the bunker! Starting location, terrain and enemies are reshuffled so you don't know exactly what is out there...[/p][p][/p][p]Can you still build a thriving settlement if you emerged on the other side of the region? What if meat was scarce? Or forests far away?[/p][p][/p][p]It's a brand new challenge every time with some special surprises.[/p][p][/p][h3]Full Changelog[/h3][p]New Features[/p]
  • [p]Added Escape Hatch Mode[/p]
    • [p]Developer note - a player requested feature to improve replayability of the campaign levels[/p]
  • [p]Expeditions will now leave different colour and size icons on the Abandoned Kingdom map to reflect what difficulty they were beaten on.[/p]
    • [p]Developer note: An extra way to reward players for beating expeditions and recognise the difficulty level - the world map becomes a bit like a trophy cabinet![/p]
  • [p]New completed expedition icons added to the pool including special ones for Mega Brutal[/p]
  • [p]The game will now warn you if building housing that will need new Services researched. [/p]
    • [p]Developer note: Another player requested feature so players know if they are in danger of growing too fast and encountering morale issues. This doesn’t apply on Mega Brutal.[/p]

  • [p]Added Difficulty and Region Name to the settlement screen Overview panel[/p]
  • [p]Increased the size of completed Expedition score boxes[/p]
  • [p]Adjusted padding of World Map for different screens[/p]
  • [p]Changed the fitting of ranking stars on level select to better align with text [/p]

  • [p]Fix for camera zoom when selecting a Campaign whilst already having a Level selected[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue with 'Growth Spurt' achievement[/p]
  • [p]Fixed levelled building shadows appearing strange[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue with initial Reward Points not being earned in Extra Expeditions if you didn’t have existing rewards[/p]
  • [p]Fixed potential reward bug when saving and loading an Expedition[/p]
[h3]What's Next?[/h3][p]We're hard at work on a brand new campaign Shadows of the Past which adds new game mechanics and a lot more levels. [/p][p]At the same time, we are working on various other features including a control scheme upgrade that lets people use right click to build things in specific areas. More news on all of this soon and we will adjust plans in response to player feedback as always :)[/p][p]

Update 1: Extra Expeditions

[p][/p][p]The first update for After Inc: Revival is here - adding more expeditions, Mac support, bugfixes and a number of quality of life enhancements.[/p][h3]
Steam Reviews: Your Feedback Matters[/h3][p]It’s been great getting so much feedback from players about what you want to see in the game - I’ve been reading all the forum posts and Steam reviews. Please keep sharing your thoughts so I know what to focus on for upcoming updates.[/p][p][/p][p]One of the top requests has been from people who have beaten both campaigns and want to be able to send out more expeditions than just the normal daily ones. We’ve been ‘inspired’ by the Personal Trainer leader in game and as a result, have updated the game with the new Extra Expeditions feature in record time![/p][p][/p][h3]Extra Expeditions[/h3][p]You can now send out 30 extra expeditions if you’ve completed the Daily Expeditions. These challenges are seeded and the same for everyone no matter when you play them so no need to rush.[/p][p]
Providing you with a variety of danger, ambition and interesting opportunities, these bonus Expeditions will keep your civilization on its toes while it expands into the unknown.[/p][p]

Launch Hotfix 3

[p]We have the first big update coming later this week with Extra Expeditions (will be on open beta channel soon) but in the mean time, here are a few fixes to address feedback from players.[/p][p][/p][h2]Bug Fixes[/h2]
  • [p]Leader Selection Warning: The leader selection warning on expeditions has been removed.[/p]
  • [p]Micromanagement Achievement: Conditions for unlocking the Micromanagement achievement have been fixed.[/p]

  • [p]Leader Selection & Survivor Recommendations: Starting leader selection and survivor recommendation popup conditions have been adjusted to only fire when suitable[/p]
  • [p]Impatience Authority Floor: Impatience can no longer reduce your Authority below 5 on Casual, 4 on Normal, and 1 on Brutal difficulties. (previously was 1 on Casual and Normal). Interested to see how players find this - quite a big change but should smooth the difficulty curve between normal and brutal a bit)[/p]

After Inc: Revival - What's Next?

[p][/p][p]Things are off to a great start and we are hard at work on the next update for the game! Thanks for all your reviews, comments, feedback and bug reports, they're all enormously helpful, so please. Keep them coming![/p][p][/p][p]We have released 2 hotfixes since launch which add some highly requested player features and address various issues that have been reported. (details in the normal change logs)[/p][p][/p][p]Our aim is to release an update every 2 weeks or so initially, although bigger features like the Scenario Creator will take longer. Next week we will release our first big Early Access update which will add Extra Expeditions.[/p][p]For fans of the usual Daily Expeditions - you will be able to do more expeditions to accelerate the development of your civilization.  [/p][h3]Looking Ahead[/h3][p]Check out our roadmap below for other things we have planned. [p]This update adds in a feature requested by quite a few players as well as some fixes / changes to ensure people don't play at a higher difficulty than they expect.[/p][p][/p][h3]New Features[/h3]
  • [p]Factory Reset Button: A new "Factory Reset" button has been added to the settings screen. You can use this to wipe your progress if you want. BE CAREFUL![/p]

  • [p]Leader Selection Adjustments: More challenging leaders have been moved out of the initial selection pools in early levels (that haven't been beaten).[/p]
  • [p]Localisation Review Popup: A localisation review popup will now be displayed.[/p]
  • [p]New Leader Warning Popup: A warning popup now appears when selecting a more challenging leader in the initial levels.[/p]
  • [p]Various translation improvements - thanks to the community for all the feedback. Your suggestions on crowdin are being added every update![/p]
