Development Log #44
[p]Welcome once again to the weekly Development Log for Lionhearts, an up-and-coming project on Steam created using Unreal Engine 5.[/p][p][/p][p]This week, Lionhearts: Melee demo development continued into the polish phase, as core development has mostly been completed.[/p][p][/p][p]A myriad of fixes and optimizations were made this week by the programming team.[/p][p][/p][p]
[/p][p][/p][p]Equip and unequip animations are now replicating properly on connected clients. Sound effects and audio settings are properly effecting weapon sounds. Furthermore, you can no longer take out a sword that doesn't exist if you don't have a secondary weapon.[/p][p][/p][p]Swing sounds for shortsword have been fixed, as they were not playing. Tab targeting dead players also no longer breaks the camera.[/p][p][/p][p]A major spear bug causing it not to be able to be used in matches under certain circumstances is also now fixed. Another major bug relating to the restart button has been fixed, which was causing softlocks during matches under certain conditions.[/p][p][/p][p]
[/p][p][/p][p]On top of this, NPC behavior has been further improved. NPCs can now guard break you when your block defense depletes. [/p][p][/p][p]Further fixes related to spawning, SFX and body rotating when attacking have all been corrected and implemented. Combat VFX was also polished further.[/p][p][/p][p]
