Development Log #45
[p]Welcome once again to the weekly Development Log for Lionhearts, an up-and-coming project on Steam created using Unreal Engine 5.[/p][p][/p][p]This week, Lionhearts: Melee demo development continued into the polish phase, as core development has mostly been completed.[/p][p]
[/p][p][/p][p]A number of improvements were made this week by our team. Some of these are quality of life, bug fixes as well as general improvements.[/p][p][/p][p]Regarding combat, we have increased round time limit to 4 minutes from 3 to allow for longer duels. Tab targeting has been vastly improved and no longer slows down sprinting speed or stutters. Block defense regeneration speed has also been increased. We've also fixed issue where block regen would not reset to exactly 0 after a Guard Break. [/p][p][/p][p]
[/p][p][/p][p]On the music and SFX front, the base volume of music tracks has been decreased to be more balanced. We also fixed weapon SFX not working for NPCs. Adjusting audio settings will now update live to preview the change for players. Death sounds/grunts have also been added. Footstep sounds are now also linked to the Sound Effects volume setting. Lastly we resolved an issue where multiple music tracks would play at once. [/p][p][/p][p]A significant bug that caused weapon rotation to lag behind characters as they rotated has also been patched.[/p][p]
[/p][p][/p][p]Ragdolls now have improved behavior, making them far more realistic. An issue where stun animations were not replicating has also been patched. We've fixed duplicate stamina alert messages are now also resolved for joining parties. Finally, we have improved the reliability of player data initialization, potentially fixing an issue where sometimes players would not load their outfit and weapon data[/p][p][/p][p]On top of this, a variety of tasks and bug fixes are set to be completed within the next few hours of posting this Development Log:[/p]
