Update #10

[p]Another update in preparation for the full release of Card Coder on April 6th. Some changes affect only the full game, but I merged back all changes into the current demo as well. Below are the most important changes.[/p][p][/p]
0.9.1
- rebalanced cost of all cards
- Added new effect: Restore one lost life for 30 coins
- Added small info HUD when commander card is viewed fullscreen
- Reduced effect "Deal 2 + x damage. Increase permanently for every 3 kills" to "Deal 2 + x damage. Increase permanently for every 4 kills" and it now passively applies "Decayed", causing the equipped card to 1 additional damage on hit.
- Rebalanced condition "Pay 2 commander energy" to modify card with +0 energy instead of -1 energy and "Pay 1 commander energy" to +2 energy instead of +1 energy
- Increased energy cost of "Deal 1 damage" by +1 if upgraded to Unique (because it then provides "Multistrike")
- Starter decks now start with a single 4 slot card in their sideboard
- Reduced energy cost of upgraded Charges condition
- Increased Throw Bomb energy cost by 1
- Added new trigger: Whenever another allied card is destroyed or sacrificed
- Rebalanced Research Points:
1 for each battle won in any game mode.
3 for winning a run in the roguelike, constructed or sealed mode.
1 for each remaining excess life.
5 for unlocking a new challenge level in any game mode.
3 for completing the tutorial.
- fixed display ordering of cards in discard (was reversed)
- fixed some sounds not respecting volume settings
- improved sealed deck balance

Card Coder Release on April 6th

[p]The full version of Card Coder will be released on April 6th 2026 at 14:00 GMT / 10 a.m. EDT / 7 a.m. PDT on Steam. So mark you calendars and I hope to see you then![/p][p][/p][p]Update: Previously Card Coder was scheduled to release on March 13th. Because of the sudden StS2 release, it was slightly moved back to April 6th. I hope you understand.[/p][p][/p][p]Here is a little sneak peak for the full game:[/p][p][/p][p]Three commanders, each with a unique playstyle.[/p][p]Four different starter decks that can be customized completely and can be combined with any commander.[/p][p][/p][p]Four different game modes[/p][p][/p][p]Roguelite Run: Customize your starting deck during the run and progress through 17 battles of increasing difficulty.[/p][p]Daily Sealed: Each day there will be a unique sealed draft where players compete for a leaderboard highscore. Everyone will receive the same random selection of cards and components and must build the best possible deck without buying or selling anything. You then battle against 5 procedurally generated decks.[/p][p]Constructed: Select a commander and a starting deck and construct a deck with a fixed budget (currently 600 coins and 10 free rerolls). Then you play against up to 7 decks (or 3 losses) without any further adjustments to your deck. Lost fights are skipped in this mode. [/p][p]Quick Challenge: Select a saved deck (yes, you can save your deck at the end of any run) for a single match and either play against a procedurally generated deck or against another saved deck of your choice.[/p][p][/p][p]Challenge Ranks: Unlock up to 5 challenge ranks. Each rank increases the difficulty of all fights by applying global modifiers like increased enemy health, bonus damage, increased shop reroll cost, etc...[/p][p][/p][p]I truly hope you will have as much or more fun playing Card Coder as I had developing and playtesting it. And of course I already have some future (free) updates planned and am eager for your feedback to further improve and balance the game.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
