This milestone is a testament to the incredible community growing around this game. Bastion grows stronger with each of you standing behind it.



What’s next? Our main focus right now is ensuring the game is a polished and stable experience for release. We’re deep in the work, refining the technical foundations and making steady progress across the board.

HOTFIX #3 | UI Polish & Multiplayer Loot Bug Fix

[p]Week two following the release of the demo, we are here with another, smaller update.

  • [p]Fix a MP issue where a player could loot the Gate Keeper shards twice, denying the other player the possibility to get the shard reward. [/p]
  • [p]Placeholder arrow for objective tracker & Scryron position have been replaced with the definitive assets.[/p]
  • [p]Removed Verandiel WIP asset from fresco due to asset lighting being off.[/p]
  • [p]Removed arrows during the amplifiers tutorial.[/p]
  • [p]Removed the buying status icon from building evolutions.[/p]
  • [p]Additional, several UI elements updated.[/p]
[h2]Known Issues[/h2]
  • [p]All points of interest (POIs) can be remotely interacted with by a player, as long as another player is within the activation radius. Plants, shards, and artifact chests are excluded from this functionality.[/p]

HOTFIX #2 | Co-op Stability & Shard Distribution

Hello Scyron,

We’ve just pushed a small update to improve the co-op experience and address a few progression issues in the demo.

HOTFIX #2

▸ Fixed an issue causing an infinite loading screen for the player remaining in a coop lobby after the host left the lobby. The remaining player is now redirected to the main menu, as expected.

▸ Introduced a new mechanic to share shards between players. Both players can now get shards. Shards rewards are randomized for each player. This change is applied to the following shards:
  • Unguarded shards
  • Neutrail camp shards
  • Gate Keeper shards
  • Lair shards
  • Legendary shards rewarded following the treasure hunt quest


KNOWN ISSUES

▸ Gate keep shards can be looted twice by the same player, effectively denying the reward for the second player.

▸ All POIs can be interacted by a player from afar if the other player is standing in the activation radius. (does not include plants, shards, or artifact chests)

Thank you for the feedback since the launch of the Eversiege Demo!

We’ve been hard at work tracking down the most reported issues. Today’s hotfix focuses on stability and performance improvements.

🛠️ Major Fixes & Stability
  • Multiplayer Stability: Improved handling of host disconnections to ensure clients are returned to the correct state.


⚙️UI & Quality of Life
  • New Performance Options: Added a Max FPS setting to the options menu, allowing you to customize the game’s performance to your hardware.
    Pause Menu Fixes: Resolved an issue where the pause menu would render behind the fresco.
  • Fixed a bug where the game occasionally failed to pause correctly.
  • UI Clarity: Updated the Daily Quest unlock description and reward display for better readability.


🔊Audio & Balancing
  • Bastion Audio: Rebalanced the sound effects for Bastion destruction to ensure volume levels are consistent with the rest of the game.


📝 Known Issue:
  • WASD / Direct Control: We're currently working on improving the wasd experience, which is why we have removed it from the demo at this time. We'll put it back in the demo once we are satisfied with it.
  • Save Protection: The host leaving may lead to an infinite loading back to the lobby. We are aware this may happen and are currently working on a solution.
