Thank you so much for all the amazing feedback you’ve shared! We’ve been watching you dive into the fiery swarms, and it’s been a blast!

We’ve cooked up a hotfix based on what we’ve seen and heard to help make Funguys Swarm even better. Keep the feedback coming, you can drop it on our Steam discussions, hop into our Discord, or tag us on social media!

[h3]Added new Skills:[/h3]
Grape Barrage: Your Grape weapon now throws an extra projectile.

Thunderspear: After a number of attacks, you spawn spears in front of you that stab enemies.

[h3]Gameplay Changes:[/h3]
  • New skill progression: start with 2 skill slots, unlock 2 more every 10 levels, up to 6 total.
  • Skills now mutate at level 5 and level 10 (was level 4 and 7).
  • Passive cards reworked:
    • No longer upgradeable to Fire Level.
    • Can now level up to 10 (increased overall effects).
  • Hot Coal (Fire Skill) temporarily removed.
  • New icons for different Auto-Attack states.
  • Adjusted XP bean color variations.
  • Appletini now enters Rage Mode at 50% health.


[h3]Bugfixes:[/h3]
  • Enemies now correctly move around Manafall crystals.
  • Auto-Aim system now correctly targets fire totems and special clutters.
  • Fixed special clutters not showing health bar when damaged.
  • Fixed Auto-Attack delay when an enemy enters attack range.


[h3]Balancing: [/h3]
  • Stand In Circle challenge duration reduced:
    • Normal: 30s → 25s
    • Hard: 20s → 15s
  • Power-up durations (Haste, Amplify Damage, Invulnerability, Resources) reduced to 20s at max level.
  • Changed Encounter and Swarm timings for Carrot Farm
  • Balanced enemy health and movement speed


[h3]Skills:[/h3]
Stardust
  • Projectile amount: 4–6 → 4
  • XP drop chance: 10% → 1%–5%
  • TWINKLE STARS spawn chance: 5% → 1%
  • SPLITTING BOLTS damage: 60% → 55%


Splash Shot
  • Damage: 16–22 → 18–26
  • Spawn amount: 1–3 → 1–5 projectiles


Soulboom
  • HERD HUNT AoE: 200 → 250
  • PRICKLY REACTION AoE: 400 → 600


Thunder Strike
  • ELECTRIC LEAPS radius: 400 → 450
  • ELECTRIC LEAPS now deals reduced damage on each leap
  • STORMCALL now strikes 2 additional targets


Boomshroom
  • DOUBLE TRIGGER chance: 20% → 25%
  • SEED OF DESTRUCTION now uses pseudo-roll


Manafall
  • Damage: 18–30 → 20–30
  • Amount: 1 → 2–4
  • Projectile Range: 1000–1600 → 1200–1600
  • Cooldown: 13s–11s → 10s
  • STAR LINK rework:
    • No longer gives projectile damage reduction or extra amount
    • Now deals 25% of the projectile damage as laser
    • Applies slow if NULLFIELD is also taken
  • IMPACT POINT:
    • Pull range: 400 → 800
    • Pull duration: 0.5s → 0.85s


Boulder Bonk
  • Cooldown: 14s–12s → 10s–8s
  • Damage: 16–28 → 22–38
  • METEORIC SHARD:
    • Damage: 50% → 65%
    • Range: 75% → 65%
    • Reduced visual size
  • METEOR CALL: cooldown reduced by 1s per 4 XP beans collected


Iron Shroom
  • Damage: 16–24 → 14–22
  • FUNGI SONG damage: 80% → 65% of main damage


[h3]Debuffs[/h3]
Shock
  • Increased total damage: ~30 → ~40


Mark
  • Explosion damage now scales with the target’s Max HP


Starlight
  • Now deals burst damage based on number of hits taken
  • If target dies from burst, it drops double XP


Freeze
  • Frozen explosive enemies no longer explode


[h3]Treelings[/h3]
Magnetika:
  • Reduced kill requirements from 800 to 600


Punchy:
  • Reworked mechanics: it now reduces your weapon range by -20%, your weapon deals extra damage per health missing from the target (max at 20% HP to deal additional +100% damage)


Furiosy:
  • Reworked mechanics: it now temporarily increases you attack speed to 80% for 6s (ignore any additional buffs) after every 300 enemies you killed without taking any damage (The count will be reset upon taking damage)
