EA SPORTS FC 26 Feedback Update - September 24
Our main goal right now is to give you improvements as fast as possible through a series of smaller Title Updates while continuing to investigate reported issues and creating bigger updates down the road.
In this post we’re sharing the latest status across these areas of improvement:
- Controllers Not Responding
- Optimization And Stability
- Unable To Enter Game
[h2]Controllers Not Responding[/h2]
Status: Small improvement coming in the next Title Update, but further investigation and updates are needed.
Thanks to your feedback, we’ve found a number of different cases in which your controllers don’t function as you’d expect. Some of the controller issues you’ve reported are impacted by the overall performance of the game, which we touch on in the Optimization and Stability section below.
For now, we’ve addressed a few cases of unresponsive controllers and you can expect to see that update come later this week in FC 26 version 1.0.2.
We know that this update will not address every single instance of controllers not responding, it’s part of a series of improvements we’re looking to make. We’re still working on more updates in this space and need to take the time to get it right for you.
While we continue to work on these issues, we ask that you please update the firmware on your controllers if you haven’t already:

[h2]Optimization And Stability[/h2]
Status: Investigating, targeting near future updates including v1.0.2.
We continue to take in your feedback on performance losses occurring during gameplay and cutscenes, and our dev groups are investigating a slew of potential causes while preparing updates.
Thanks to your feedback, we have identified an issue related to adjusting display settings (such as V Sync) while Display Mode is set to Borderless.
You can expect to see this issue get addressed in FC 26 version 1.0.2.
We’re working on addressing other performance issues as well, including:
- Performance issues caused by cloth physics in-game.
- Situations where another window or overlay disrupts the game, resulting in issues like input loss.
As a reminder, PC setups vary greatly, so we ask that you please give us as much information as possible when telling us about performance issues you might be experiencing.
This is what helps us investigate your issues:
- System specs.
- Display and graphics settings - Does the issue occur on lower graphics settings?
- Controllers in use.
- Time/date of issue including time zone.
- Game Area/Feature/Mode.
- Screenshots/Videos
- How often it happens.
- EA account username.
- Detailed description of the issue you’re experiencing and what was happening before it started occurring.
[h2]Unable To Enter Game[/h2]
Status: Further investigations ongoing, previously addressed Advanced Access issue.
While we addressed players not able to get to their Advanced Access last week, we continue to see that some players are still unable to enter the game.
We’re working with players directly to identify a root cause here, and we’ll provide more updates in the future where possible.
