Hi everyone, thanks again for continuing to share your feedback and reporting issues you’ve experienced in FC 26. We’ve been passing everything you’ve told us to our development team and their investigations and development work are ongoing.

Our main goal right now is to give you improvements as fast as possible through a series of smaller Title Updates while continuing to investigate reported issues and creating bigger updates down the road.

In this post we’re sharing the latest status across these areas of improvement:

• Controllers Not Responding

[h2]Controllers Not Responding[/h2]

Status: Small improvement coming in the next Title Update, but further investigation and updates are needed.

Thanks to your feedback, we’ve found a number of different cases in which your controllers don’t function as you’d expect. Some of the controller issues you’ve reported are impacted by the overall performance of the game, which we touch on in the Optimization and Stability section below.

For now, we’ve addressed a few cases of unresponsive controllers and you can expect to see that update come later this week in FC 26 version 1.0.2.

We know that this update will not address every single instance of controllers not responding, it’s part of a series of improvements we’re looking to make. We’re still working on more updates in this space and need to take the time to get it right for you.

While we continue to work on these issues, we ask that you please update the firmware on your controllers if you haven’t already:

[h2]Optimization And Stability[/h2]

Status: Investigating, targeting near future updates including v1.0.2.

We continue to take in your feedback on performance losses occurring during gameplay and cutscenes, and our dev groups are investigating a slew of potential causes while preparing updates.

Thanks to your feedback, we have identified an issue related to adjusting display settings (such as V Sync) while Display Mode is set to Borderless.

You can expect to see this issue get addressed in FC 26 version 1.0.2.

We’re working on addressing other performance issues as well, including:

• Performance issues caused by cloth physics in-game.
  
• Situations where another window or overlay disrupts the game, resulting in issues like input loss.
  

As a reminder, PC setups vary greatly, so we ask that you please give us as much information as possible when telling us about performance issues you might be experiencing.

This is what helps us investigate your issues:

• Display and graphics settings - Does the issue occur on lower graphics settings?

• Time/date of issue including time zone.

[h2]Unable To Enter Game[/h2]

Status: Further investigations ongoing, previously addressed Advanced Access issue.

While we addressed players not able to get to their Advanced Access last week, we continue to see that some players are still unable to enter the game.

We’re working with players directly to identify a root cause here, and we’ll provide more updates in the future where possible.

As a slightly more than casual football fan, EA’s annual football game has made me far more aware of the beautiful game than ever before, going back to FIFA 13 on PlayStation 3. Since then, I’ve only skipped two years of titles and have seen the series evolve from something basic and barebones into a wealth of features and game modes. Not everything has been positive, but EA Sports FC 26 looks to address some pain points from recent years.

The first thing I want to highlight in EA Sports FC 26 is gameplay. Improvements have been made through two presets: Authentic and Competitive. Authentic is the default for modes such as Play Career and Manager Career, and it focuses on a more realistic football experience. In practice, this means gameplay is slowed down, placing greater emphasis on strategy, immersion and realism.

When FC 26 first became available, we had an issue where you weren’t able to enter the game. Our teams worked on this problem from the moment it started occurring, and we identified and addressed the cause within an hour and a half of launch.

We’ve heard your feedback about controllers not registering inputs at times or dropping inputs entirely during matches.[/p][p]

Online Lag And Delay[/h3][p]
Status: Addressed[/p][p]
We had an issue causing a number of players to connect to FC Game Data Centers that were non-optimal. For example, if you would normally connect to data center A, the issue might have sent you to data center B.[/p][p]
We identified the cause here quickly and our teams were able to address the issue, so the game should no longer be sending players to incorrect FC Game Data Centers.
[/p][h3]Missing Content / Season Pass[/h3][p][/p][p]Status: Addressed with a potential small workaround needed.[/p][p]
If you’re missing any pre-order in-game content or access to the Season Pass, shutting FC 26 game down fully and restarting while connected to the internet typically enables our backend systems to re-check your content and give it to you.

We hear your feedback about graphical performance and stability and are investigating reports we see (like the one time freeze on the Squad screen for example). [/p][p]
