The art designer created Steam broadcast side artwork for Supercat Survivors

Meow~ Supercat Survivors: Meow or Die is one step closer to launch! The overall functionality is basically complete, and we’re now fully focused on bug testing and fixing! I’m also checking for gaps to see what content needs supplementation.

This brings me to the broadcast section of the Steam store page. Steam doesn’t have strict requirements for the side graphics displayed on either side of the screen during livestreams—it’s optional content. After the game launches, we do plan to host Steam livestreams, but we haven’t created the side graphics yet, and the backend is still empty~

Yesterday, I realized that the background image of the game’s menu interface is perfect for adapting into livestream side graphics. Coincidentally, it features Supercats on the left and monsters on the right—with some minor adjustments to layout and effects, it could be turned into the ideal design. I immediately sent a request to our art designer (please forgive my lack of Photoshop skills).

Today, the art designer finished the livestream side graphics, and they look amazing! They perfectly capture the confrontation between the Supercat Clan and the Alien Beasts. Please take a look!

Supercat Survivors Combines Cat, Weapon, and Difficulty Panel into One Interface

Meow~ Optimization for Supercat Survivors: Meow or Die is still ongoing—the project team is swamped with work! I really want to adopt a cat in the studio so we can pet it when we’re tired from work, maybe it’ll even spark some inspiration~

We’ve completely revamped the character selection interface from the previous test version, merging the three panels for choosing Supercats, weapons, and difficulty into a single interface. The selection order is no longer rigid, giving players more freedom. The flat 2D graphics have also been upgraded to a 3D scene, so players can now see cute cat models standing right in front of them—one step closer to their feline companions!

Art Team: Most of the art assets have already been replaced, and we’re now fine-tuning details like damage number sizes, special effect playback speeds, and subtle model color adjustments.

Game Balance Designer: Been tirelessly adjusting the numerical values for Endless Mode to ensure the combat feel in each wave is just right. Sounds like a Herculean task—no wonder the balance designer has so many gray hairs. Time to toss in a ginseng root to keep them going~

Programmers: Constantly hunting and fixing bugs, but it’s a never-ending cycle. Fix one bug, and two more pop up—like big bugs having baby bugs, an endless lineage~

Me: Munching on Cheetos and cheering them on non-stop!

Supercats vs. Alien Beasts! "Supercat Survivors" Menu Interface Updated

Meow~ The optimization adjustments for "Supercat Survivors: Meow or Die" are still in full swing! In recent days, our graphic designer has also created an illustration of Supercats vs. Alien Beasts based on the game's worldview, which will be used as the menu interface.

On the spirit-energy-rich Meow Star, Supercat warriors guard the planet’s lifeblood—the Gemstone Ore—while battling mutated plants for survival. These plants corrupt the land with invasive roots and devour energy with parasitic spores. The cats fight back with spirit-powered weapons, living tense yet peaceful lives.
Suddenly, chaos erupts! Alien beasts invade Meow Star, mutated plants go berserk, and the Supercats are caught in a pincer attack. A sinister alliance between the invaders and local mutants hides a secret buried deep in ancient ruins…

The menu interface from the test version, where a cat ran through a desert, has already been replaced. The previous desert scene was too dark overall, lacked light sources, felt empty and lifeless, and didn't look dynamic. Adjusting it was also time-consuming and laborious – most importantly, it was stylistically inconsistent with the current combat scenes.
