Patch 1.1.6. - Lock Load!

Patch 1.1.6. - Lock & Load!

Hey guys! This week we are addressing various issues with the achievements and added a much needed feature that will make your multiplayer games a lot more comfortable! Here are the patch notes of 1.1.6:

Achievements

- We have fixed the achievement ‘Shotgun Maniac’
- We have fixed the achievement ‘Splat!’
- We have fixed the achievement ‘Got your back’

Quick upgrade

You will now be able to quick-upgrade weapons with ‘Q’. When you gathered enough coins you can press this button and it will automatically purchase the next upgrade of the weapon that you currently have equipped. This allows you to quickly upgrade your weapon without having to open the weapon upgrade menu, which -as we all know- can be a hassle in the middle of a fight. You can also use quick upgrade during a singleplayer session, so you don’t have to pause your game.

You can, if you desire, change the keybinding in the settings.

Patch 1.1.4. - Take the fight to the aliens!

New map: Block Ship

This Thursday we are bringing you a new map, or ship to be more exact! You will be bringing the fight to the aliens on one of their spaceships in Block Ship! This is a relatively small map compared to some of the other maps, which allows you all to rack up high multiplier scores! Are you ready?

Network Refactoring

We have also been very busy working on a more stable multiplayer network. This has resulted in a lot of fixes listed below:

- When you die with the machine gun it doesn't start shooting randomly anymore.
- No more ‘ghost-players’ when you join an in-progress game.
- Scores are now displayed properly after the hosts pressed ‘Retry’ when they failed a map;
- When new players are joining an in-progress game they will see the other players with the correct weapon upgrades;
- You can now check your own ping when pressing the ‘esc’ menu.
- The multiplier achievements only worked for the host of the game, this has now been fixed. Everyone will unlock the achievements once they reach the required multiplier.
- Technical fixes which results in more stable games when playing multiplayer matches with other people/friends.
- It sometimes occurred that players didn't see the damage and multipliers they got. This issue has been fixed.

Other fixes

- No more accidental game leaving when pressing ‘esc’ in lobby or game win/over screen.
- Fixed various collision bugs in some of the maps;
- The crosshair has been updated. It first was transparent, but we made it white. You can now see the crosshair more clearly, so you won’t lose it during a game!

Patch 1.1.3. - Run for your life

Today we are bringing you all very exciting news! With patch 1.1.3. we are delivering new features and fixes that were requested by the community.

Total rebalance of the wave system

We have totally rebalanced the way aliens are spawning. This means:
- All levels have been set to end after 6 waves instead of 8.
- Sessions are shorter, you can now finish a game on average between 12 and 15 minutes.
- The time between subwaves has been reduced, you will be shooting constantly!
- Alien HP has been rebalanced.
- The amount of aliens that spawn during a session have been adjusted.
- Alien species have been located to their appropriate waves. This means that you won’t be seeing ‘Crunchers’ (also known as tanks) during the first wave.

Sprint

You now have the ability to sprint for a short duration. After you have depleted your sprint bar it needs a few seconds to recharge before you can use it again. This ability allows you to dodge alien attacks better, maneuver between aliens or rush over to help your friend! The default keybinding for sprint is set to ‘Shift’ or the left trigger if you use a controller. Of course you can bind it to any key in the settings.

Block Launchpad

As usual we will also release a new map on which you can die like a badass and set a new highscore. This week you will fight of the invaders on a launchpad while it is snowing. Play it alone, or with friends to unlock the Steam achievement ‘Houston...’ for completing this map on any difficulty.

Other fixes

- While using the death cam the audio was not correct, this has been fixed.
- Minor collision fixes across all levels.
- On the map Block City the S.W.A.T. drone now has a better flying route that prevents it from dropping care packages at unreachable locations.
