[p]Hi there! Sooo this month was Steam Next Fest and… it was great! We gathered a few thousand wishlists and got a lot more eyes on the game. In case you missed it, we hit 20k wishlists!!!

[/p][p](though it's 21k now already…)[/p][p][/p][p]Thank you all so much for the support, there’s a lot of people patiently waiting for Dice A Million’s release and it’s growing everyday, giving me all the gambling power I need to finish the game… Remember the game is set to release on January 2026, so there’s not much time left![/p][p]Now, let’s talk about some stuff I’ve been working on!![/p][p][/p][hr][/hr][h2]NEW CARDS[/h2][p]Yep!!! Some of you may remember when I mentioned back in April that on release there would be new cards, but in a special separated set, to not bloat the normal card pool. These are more powerful/specific than normal cards, so they’re of course rarer… and all locked by default![/p][p][/p][p]You’ll need to work your way through the dice to be able to get them though…[/p][p]
[/p][p][/p][p]Ever needed that single mirror cube in your bag to win and didn’t draw it in your last roll?! Gift Card allows you to draw any specific die you want from your bag.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][hr][/hr][h2]MORE VISUAL UPGRADES[/h2][p]OK yeah let’s address the elephant in the room now, what you saw above is the new UI for booster packs! I’ve been working hard in upgrading them since, let’s be clear, they were so boring looking before.

[/p][p]I also made a new chest animation! I posted this on twitter the other day (which you should definitely follow me there…) and people really seemed to like it!

[/p][p](you can skip it by just clicking you brainrotted kids…)[/p][p][/p][p]There’s a LOT of little visual and sound enhancements I’ve been doing that I’m saving for full release, so the game will feel as fresh as ever.[/p][p][/p][hr][/hr][h2]LOCALIZATION[/h2][p]Another thing I’ve been spending a lot of time into is rewriting the text system in the game to allow for easier localization support. You really shouldn’t notice anything if you only play in English, but the goal is to release with a bunch of languages besides English and Spanish, can’t confirm which ones yet, but I’ll let you know! This new system will also allow fans to easily do fan translations if they want :) (crossing fingers so Dice A Million is in pirate language someday)[/p][p]

[p]here's another patch! keep an eye for the october's development post coming in a few days!! :)[/p][p][/p][p]changes:[/p][p]- smiley medal now works with rerolled dice that rolled into their highest face (via casino die, isaac's die, etc)[/p][p]- casino die and isaac's die can now reroll lucky 7 before discarding everything if it rolled an X[/p][p][/p][p]bugfixes:[/p][p]- fixed a bug where stamp mult sometimes caused to visually display more decimals than intended on the dice mult (like 1.2x displaying as 1.21x). let me know if this fix causes any issues![/p][p]- fixed a rare crash when playing with controller and having active rings[/p][p]- The Odd and The Even would interact with dice with face 0, despite 0 counting neither as even nor odd[/p][p]- The Even didn't trigger even/odd animations[/p][p]- granite die with echo didn't get 4x extra value in some specific cases[/p][p]- extra value was added twice in some rare cases[/p][p]- fixed a bug where boss descriptions wouldn't always display if you had save data from an old version[/p]

[p]first patch after next fest! thank you all so much for all the love last week, it really made a difference :) (we also got to 20k wishlists!!!) [/p][p]expect some news next week in the monthly development update post, but for now, here's a couple of fixes and changes, happy gambling![/p][p][/p][p]changes:[/p][p]- changed d7 description to make clearer its difference from psychodie [/p][p]- changed psychodie description too[/p][p][/p][p]fixes:[/p][p]- 2-faced coin didn't unlock by default[/p][p]- you couldn't check info menu on dice spawned from a chest[/p][p]- round reward dice/rings didn't always display all their info properly on their description[/p][p]- active rings icon didn't display on their descriptions[/p][p]- charged dice would get their description doubled sometimes[/p]

[p]changes:[/p][p]- when hovering over dice mid roll, you can now see what it rolled clearly on its description, to help while selecting dice for a ring effect[/p][p]- reworked the entire item description script, shouldn't affect anything, but make everything more stable[/p][p]- reworked how dice face description displays. now it won't render above if it's too long
[/p][p]bugfixes:[/p][p]- fixed a crash when trying to load save data from a version previous to 0.264[/p][p]- red rooms that deactivate enchantments didn't work [/p][p]- reloading into a red room that decreases hand size didn't actually trigger the effect[/p][p]- red rooms description wasn't always spaced out properly[/p][p]- enchantment icons could sometimes lose their rainbow effect[/p][p]- if you pressed esc while holding the skip to boss button, sound would play infinitely[/p]
