Besiege: The Broken Beyond - Coming Q2 2026
[p]Today we’re excited to announce The Broken Beyond expansion for Besiege, coming to Steam Q2 of 2026! The expansion takes Besiege’s classic gameplay into space, with a new campaign, a suite of new space themed blocks and a new sandbox environment.[/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p]Taking Besiege into space has been an ambition of ours for a long time now and, with The Splintered Sea released, we felt space would make a great focus for our next expansion![/p][p]Those of you who’ve been around for a long time might remember a small moon object in orbit around the Besiege planet, on the title screen. Originally we intended this to be a simple low-gravity sandbox to play around in, but following the addition of the Zero-G god tool, it felt somewhat superfluous.[/p][p]We decided that if we were to explore space in Besiege, we’d make something far grander that fully explores all the fun & creative gameplay it has to offer.
[/p][h2]Wishlist The Broken Beyond Now![/h2][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p]The Broken Beyond provides a simulation of space that balances realism with the rule of cool, allowing you to take full advantage of gravitational mechanics to slingshot your machines or establish stable orbits.[/p][p]Many celestial bodies in the expansion will also have their own atmospheres, affecting the forces applied to your machine and the way some blocks function.[/p][p]Space will present the greatest challenge to your engineering & piloting skills so far, but fear not, there will be a suite of awesome new space-themed blocks to help you achieve your goals and conquer this new frontier.[/p][p]In the run up to launch we’ll be publishing a number of development posts which delve into more detail about different aspects of the expansion and next week we’ll be releasing another free update to Besiege, so stay tuned for details.[/p][p]We hope you’re as excited to hear this announcement as we are to make it.
