Day/Night Cycle Patch, Level 100 Speedrun & Balancing

I owe you an apology for the game situation that persisted throughout the weekend. I made a big blunder before heading out—while trying to fix some bugs, I accidentally introduced new ones, which I’ve just resolved with this patch. Here’s a recap:

  • The day/night cycle no longer lasts 10 seconds (I forgot to remove my cycle tester)
  • The timer showed 0 seconds upon reaching level 100 — now fixed
  • It was possible to exploit the last magic constellation by stacking all resources in the same spot to multiply click rewards. Now, when a resource is released, it shifts slightly to prevent overlapping.

Thanks to the players on the Discord server who — even though they gave me a bit of a scare — helped me fix the bug very quickly upon my return.

🛠️ Here’s the update planned for this weekend !

A chill little update before the next big features: a rework of the save system, a proper idle/AFK mode, a visual upgrade for the farmer, and some much-needed fixes.

🔄 Save System Overhaul
The save system is now unlocked by default. It can be upgraded via a constellation, allowing villagers to remember their last profession even after loading a save — handy for keeping your village organized!

⏱️ New : Idle AFK System
A new offline progress (AFK) system has been added! You can now accumulate resources for up to 1 hour while away. This feature will become upgradeable with constellation 3 in a future update.

👨‍🌾 Farmer Skin Added
The farmer now has a dedicated skin and custom animations. Farming just got fancier!

🎓 Tutorial Update
The tutorial has been revised to reflect all the recent gameplay changes.

Constellation Adjustments
Some constellations have been adjusted to better fit the new systems (save/AFK).

🐛 Bug Fixes
  • Fixed a bug where the wood counter displayed 0 at startup, even if you had some.
  • Fixed a bug where the tutorial didn’t show properly for non-host players.

Fixed a bug in the lumberjack duel event

I fixed a bug where, during the duel, the lumberjack would sometimes destroy all the trees on the map.

Bug fix following the addition of the new constellations

After having to redo the second-to-last update due to the loss of my development save, I messed up a few things that prevented villagers from doing anything at all! Since the bug was quite annoying for you players, I temporarily reverted to the version that didn’t include Constellation 2.

Now that everything is fixed, you can play the game again normally without issues related to that.

In addition, I fixed another bug that was created while fixing a multiplayer issue. Now, in solo mode, when you remove a villager who is working (in a field, for example), they correctly become available again so you can assign that job to another villager. This applies to all professions that require a workstation.

Constellation 2 Update

You’ve been waiting for it : here’s the update introducing a brand-new constellation, unlockable after reaching Village T3, with some special features.

Here’s a summary of the new constellations :

  • Productive Click : Increases the amount of resource collected by 0.0001% per click, based on the total production of the clicked resource, per point spent in the constellation. After Village T3, clicking became useless for resource gain. This aims to change that. The initial bonus is intentionally low due to exponential scaling—I prefer to keep it controlled and adjust it later if needed.
  • Perfect Plank : Doubles the amount of planks produced per point spent. A great way to produce more without needing more villagers. It also grants more XP via plank crafters.
  • Perfect chiseledstone : Doubles the amount of chiseledstone produced per point spent. Same concept as planks.
  • Perfect Mana : Doubles mana production per point spent. Same as above, except this one can go one level higher and unlocks after Village T4.
  • Construction Worker : Right-click on a building to generate resources—even stone! This finally allows you to level up the miner job.

Everything integrates smoothly with existing systems. For example, professions now show in real-time the resource gain from clicking based on current production.

One last note: I had an issue saving my updates. The previous patch was lost. I tried to recreate it as closely as possible, but if old bugs reappear, please report them so I can fix them (same goes for any bugs in this update).
