Dev Blog #12: Reflecting on the Demo & What’s Next

Hey everyone,

It’s been a little over two weeks since we launched the first public demo of Void Future — and the response has been incredible. Thank you to everyone who played it, shared thoughts, reported bugs, or just dropped by to wishlist the game. Your support means the world to us.
🎮 What We’ve Learned
In that short time, we’ve received a ton of valuable feedback — both technical and creative.
Some of our core ideas were validated (which is always reassuring!), but we also got insightful comments about mechanics that weren’t entirely clear, and moments that didn’t feel as fun or engaging as we hoped.

We also had the chance to speak with a few publishers who are potentially interested in the project — another exciting step forward for our tiny team.
🛠️ What We’re Changing
As a result of this feedback, we’ve made a few important decisions:

– We’re reworking the opening section of the game to better guide new players, clarify the core loop, and make sure the experience is intuitive and immersive from the very start.
– We’re shifting the release date toward the end of the year — this will give us the time we need to deliver something richer and more polished.
– We’ll be removing the current demo from Steam soon so we can improve it behind the scenes and bring it back in a more refined form later on.
🚀 What’s Next
These changes are all about delivering a better experience. We want Void Future to be more than just a cool idea — we want it to be a game that truly pulls you into its world and keeps you there.

Thank you again for being part of this journey with us. We’ll be sharing more updates soon — and if you haven’t already, don’t forget to wishlist the game to stay in the loop!

Bringing Void Future to More Players — 现已支持中文!

We’re excited to share that we’ve officially started working on adding Chinese language support to Void Future!

This is a big step for us as a small team, and one we believe will make the game more accessible to a wider audience — especially considering how passionate and engaged the Chinese gaming community is when it comes to cyberpunk and narrative-rich indie games.

Here’s what Chinese-speaking players can expect:

 • A fully translated Steam page, to clearly communicate what the game is all about
 • Localized in-game content, including level dialogue, mission objectives, and key story elements
 • A fully translated user interface, for a smooth gameplay experience
 • And importantly: we’re working with human translators, not AI, to ensure the quality and tone of the writing are preserved

We want to make sure Void Future feels just as immersive and authentic in Chinese as it does in English.

We’re still early in the localization process, but we’ll keep you posted as we go — and we can’t wait to welcome new players into the world we’re building.

The Demo is Live!

It’s here—Void Future’s first public demo is officially live on Steam! 💻🔥

You can now experience the opening moments of our cyberpunk hacking thriller, explore the world, test the tools, and dive into the story we’ve been building.

This demo represents the foundation of Void Future—a glimpse into a city under constant surveillance, where every line of code can change your fate. We’ve worked hard to bring you a polished, atmospheric experience, and now we’re eager to hear what you think.

As mentioned before, this is just the beginning. Based on your feedback, we plan to release a second, expanded demo in the future. So play it, break it, analyze it—and let us know how it feels.

Thanks for the support, the wishlists, the shares, and the patience. It means the world.

Dev Blog #11: Demo Release Date Confirmed!

It’s official—Void Future’s first public demo is launching on April 22nd! 🗓️

After careful testing, bug fixing, and waiting for platform approval, everything is now ready. No more delays, no more uncertainty. The build is solid, the systems are stable, and we’re confident this version reflects what we’ve been working toward.

This will be the first demo for Void Future, and we’re incredibly excited to finally get it into your hands. It covers the opening portion of the game, introducing the world, the core gameplay, and the tone we’re building.

That said—this is just the beginning. Depending on the feedback we receive from this first release, we plan to create a second, expanded demo down the line. Your impressions, experiences, and suggestions will help us shape what comes next.

Dev Blog #10: Demo Delay Update

Hey everyone,

We have a quick update regarding the release of the Void Future demo. While we were originally aiming to release it this week, we’ve decided to push it back just a bit longer.

The reason? Twofold:

1. We discovered a few unexpected bugs during final testing that we feel absolutely need to be addressed before launch. The demo needs to reflect the experience we’ve worked so hard to create, and rushing it out with known issues just wouldn’t be fair to you—or to the game.

2. We’re currently waiting for final approval from Steam. The demo is submitted and everything is in motion, but as with all platforms, there’s a review process that takes a bit of time.

We know delays are never fun, and we appreciate your patience more than ever. The good news? The demo is done. We’re polishing, waiting, and preparing to make sure your first dive into the world of Void Future is as smooth and impactful as possible.

Thanks for sticking with us—we’re almost there!
