Dev Blog #12: Reflecting on the Demo & What’s Next
Hey everyone,
It’s been a little over two weeks since we launched the first public demo of Void Future — and the response has been incredible. Thank you to everyone who played it, shared thoughts, reported bugs, or just dropped by to wishlist the game. Your support means the world to us.
🎮 What We’ve Learned
In that short time, we’ve received a ton of valuable feedback — both technical and creative.
Some of our core ideas were validated (which is always reassuring!), but we also got insightful comments about mechanics that weren’t entirely clear, and moments that didn’t feel as fun or engaging as we hoped.
We also had the chance to speak with a few publishers who are potentially interested in the project — another exciting step forward for our tiny team.
🛠️ What We’re Changing
As a result of this feedback, we’ve made a few important decisions:
– We’re reworking the opening section of the game to better guide new players, clarify the core loop, and make sure the experience is intuitive and immersive from the very start.
– We’re shifting the release date toward the end of the year — this will give us the time we need to deliver something richer and more polished.
– We’ll be removing the current demo from Steam soon so we can improve it behind the scenes and bring it back in a more refined form later on.
🚀 What’s Next
These changes are all about delivering a better experience. We want Void Future to be more than just a cool idea — we want it to be a game that truly pulls you into its world and keeps you there.
Thank you again for being part of this journey with us. We’ll be sharing more updates soon — and if you haven’t already, don’t forget to wishlist the game to stay in the loop!
