Patch Preview
[p]Hey everyone. It's been a while (at least for me)! I wanted to touch base to discuss what's going on with the next patch for Gunlocked 2.[/p][p]Patch 0.30.00 (previously 0.25.00) is well under way, and closed testing just began, but there's a lot in this patch. A lot. The reason it's now patch 0.30.00 is because I've added features planned for the future, and features I never planned on adding at all.[/p][p]I'm packing this update full of good stuff, because I want it to be special. There's even more happening than what I talk about below, but this should give you a good idea of what to expect. I hope you're as excited as me!
[/p][p]So what can you expect? (keep in mind the following is still in progress)[/p]
[/p][p]So what can you expect? (keep in mind the following is still in progress)[/p]
- [p]Weapon Enhancements: 80 new ways to customize your weapons, including secret Symbionics[/p]
- [p]A new game mode: Turbo is a brand new, high octane, arcade-inspired mode with a bunch of new mechanics, designed to be played in short bursts.
[/p]
- [p]Leaderboards: Local, Friends List, and Global boards for both game modes will now let you compete for imaginary internet fame.
[/p]
- [p]The Data Codex: The first iteration of the Data Codex is being added. You'll be able to track unlocked Symbionics and their recipes, leaderboards, and achievements. More features will be added in future updates.[/p]
- [p]New Pilot: Blaze returns from Gunlocked 1[/p]
- [p]New Weapon: And she's bringing back the Hail Mary[/p]
- [p]Pilot and Weapon Remake: Artemis and the Light Rail have gotten an overhaul to be more satisfying to play with. She's a force to be reckoned with now![/p]
- [p]Requested Features: A pile of requested quality of life features are also coming in this patch. See below.[/p]
- [p]And more! I still have a bunch of extra content to add, and polish. The full patch notes will reveal more.
[/p]
- [p]Dynamic upgrade stats! Finally, no more math for you! Weapons and Utility descriptions will update dynamically to show you their current stats based on various interactions and total number of copies.
[/p]
- [p]Allied Outlines: Allied units and bombs can now have a custom colored outline to help differentiate them from enemies.
[/p]
- [p]Dynamic Gamepad Switching and support for PlayStation and Nintendo glyphs. Just pick up and play with whatever controller you want at any time.[/p]
- [p]Improved Warp Menus: You no longer have to leave the warp inspection menu to reroll or deploy to a zone. Beacon rewards now tell you the specific kind of beacon you'll get, instead of just the broad strokes.
[/p]
- [p]Pause Resume Timer: You'll now get a 2 second window to orient yourself before the action resumes from pause or an upgrade menu. A small visual effect will highlight your position.
