Rifters, your next opportunity to play Lost Rift is only two weeks away!
On August 7 at 10am EDT, we’ll be live with our next public stress playtest. Whether you're a returning castaway or if this will be your first playing Lost Rift, this is your chance to jump in and help us shape the game’s future.

This playtest is focused on server stress-testing and system improvements, including:
The playable area you’ll have access to will remain the same, with both Pioneers’ Landing (PvE) and Expedition (PvPvE) being available just as it was in our previous Steam Next Fest demo. You’ll encounter familiar ground and the same mysterious wall that blocks further exploration. This will allow us to refine the early game experience without distractions beyond the anomaly perimeter.

- Better onboarding experience for new players (no more confusion over Tree Sap or Volcanic Rock)
- More fair PVP matchmaking for solo and duos
- Better balance for AI enemies
- Multiple crash fixes (though some may remain)
- Basic localization support added
[h2]WHAT’S IN THIS STRESS TEST[/h2]
This playtest is focused on server stress-testing and system improvements, including:
- Environment Art Progress: far fewer grey boxes and some truly stunning environment upgrades will be present, including the Weather Station (see gif)
- Matchmaking Upgrades: PVP Expedition will now group players more fairly based on party size
- Core System Updates: improved gunplay and overall balance
- Side Quest Improvements: reworked side quests given by Wade, to give players access to new and cool objectives
- Machine-translated Language Support: we are still working with a localization partner to have official translations for day 1 of Early Access
- Bug Fixes: and lots of them!]
