ANOMALY LOG UPDATE

Subject: Post-incident analysis - Soviet Naval Encounter (Reference: Event VIC-0327)

At 04:17 GMT, dimensional sensors registered a sudden rift ripple in Quadrant 4-C, followed by extreme pressure displacement and a brief but intense electromagnetic flare consistent with interdimensional stress. Preliminary acoustic readings suggested the rupture of non-native steel under pressure. Within 14 seconds of the breach, a Soviet Foxtrot-class submarine appeared with hull markings confirming identity as B-59.

The vessel manifested with visible hull deformation and severe oxidation, inconsistent with its expected condition if preserved in our timeline. Full biological scans were inconclusive; no life signs were found. However, movement was noted within the control room for approximately 43 seconds post-arrival.

Most notably, the vessel’s fifteen-kiloton nuclear warhead is still intact and is undergoing stabilization protocols. The presence of a functional nuclear warhead raises serious ethical and procedural concerns. This event predates our operational timeline and may require diplomatic oversight if data is leaked.

The warhead's radiation signature is currently stable, but anomalously “phased” and drifting slightly out of sync with baseline quantum decay. More pressingly, it confirms that nuclear materials are not neutralized by Rift passage. This phenomenon may provide insight into how time behaves under Rift displacement. The implication is staggering: radioactive material aging at a different rate than its environment.
