A Message from the Lost Rift Dev Team

Hello Rifters,
We know it has been rough for Lost Rift and our community recently. We want to be transparent with you all and acknowledge the recent major issues that many of you have faced since the release of Patch 1. These issues include server instability, latency fluctuations, and, most frustratingly, the loss of your items and disappearance of wooden storage chests. People Can Fly is committed to improving the quality of Lost Rift, and we are planning a series of hotfixes as well as another upcoming patch to address the issues.
Behind the scenes, our team has been working hard to fix problems by deploying multiple hotfixes and rollbacks for affected players over the last week. The steps taken resolved some issues, but we know issues still remain for many of you. We are triaging the severity of problems and have put out a hotfix today, October 30th, to address the most critical server performance issues we’ve identified post-patch.
Regarding the disappearance of chests for existing worlds prior to Patch 1, we have adjusted our priorities to more quickly implement an in-game mail system that will allow us to properly compensate affected players. While its immediate purpose is to help restore what was lost from this specific issue, it will also serve as a foundation for future community rewards and communications. This tool is a complex system that touches on multiple parts of the game, so realistically, it’s a few weeks of development time away. We understand how infuriating it can be to see that progress disappear without immediate resolution, but please try to be patient with us as we are aiming to make this happen as soon as possible.
Our team will continue to do everything we can to make things right for our community. We are very grateful to those of you who have stuck with us through this rough patch. As always, we thank you for your continued support as we work to make Lost Rift the best game that we know it can be.
