Playtest 2 Stats! 🦀

[p]Hey Crabbies 🦀[/p][p][/p][p]It's been a week since Playtest 2 ended, and we wanted to share some fun and cool statistics that came from it... [/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Over 170k crabs joined the playtest, clawing up an average playtime of 4 hours and 11 minutes! You managed a total of 3,680,906 runs, which is less than 3% of the estimated crabs on Christmas Island, and 2,607.792 deaths! 🦀[/p][p][/p][p]We all have our favourite evolutions, but which ones were the most commonly selected in Playtest 2? [/p][p][/p]

[/p][p][/p][p]Challenges were a new addition to playtest 2, let's scuttle into the numbers...[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]The chilly Ice Age had the most amount of total runs at 334,301! That's a lot of frozen crabs.[/p][p]Wild Wild World had 58,750 restarts, the most of any challenge.[/p][p]The Dry Age had the highest win ratio at 16.6%.[/p][p]Odd Mutations is an odd one that didn't have a stat that was the most or the least! [/p][p]And we didn't forget about Amnesia... this time. The Everything is Crab playtest has finished its run, but fear not, this is not the last you will see of Darwin...[/p][p][/p][p]Us crabs at Odd Dreams Digital and Secret Mode have been shell-ebrating all the good things you’ve been saying about the playtest and cannot wait for you to dive back into the game. As well as that, during this playtest, Everything is Crab hit 100k wishlists, and the official Discord hit 8000 members![/p][p]We are blown away by the number of people who have played, left feedback, reported bugs, and wislisted Everything is Crab. Playtest 2 Update! Bug Fixes and Countdown Clock 🦀

[p]Happy New Year Crabbies![/p][p][/p][p]We hope everyone had a wonderful holidays. We certainly did, seeing all the new players jumping into Everything is Crab’s latest playtest. Thank you to everyone who has left us feedback and bug reports in the Steam Discussions and our Discord![/p][p]Playtest 2 will be ending on January 19 - but before then, a new update is now rolling out, including a handful of bug fixes and improvements. It also includes a 'Doomsday Clock', so you can keep track of how long you have to play... [/p][p][/p][p]Here are the changes and fixes coming in this update:[/p][p][/p][h3]Changes/Additions[/h3]

[p]Doomsday clock: countdown for when PP2 will end: 1pm CET on Mon 19th January 2026[/p]
[p]Left Handed movement basic support, uses numpad 1,2,3,4 + NumPadEnter[/p]
[p]Allow counting bosses as Main Prey if you have no other Prey OR are in WWW[/p]
[p]Force Skip splashscreen video if it doesn't play for 10s[/p]
[p]Challenge Screen will show a Golden Tick for Challenges that have been Finalised (beaten with all possible Genetics).[/p]

[p]Small buffs to Stoner damage and feel of usage [/p]
[p]Escape button now works to exit Difficulty Selection screen[/p]
[p]WWW perf improvements, not enough to make it super smooth but should be noticeably better![/p]

New Playtest Coming December 2nd! Catch the New Trailer in Clemmy’s Showcase!

[p]Hey Crabbies! [/p][p][/p][p]A second public playtest for Everything is Crab will go live, with a brand-new trailer shown off in Clemmy's Best Indie Games Winter Showcase starting at 4pm GMT on December 2nd![/p][p][/p][p]Next week brings some crab-tastic fun as the Everything is Crab Playtest returns for another round, though it seems to have evolved… [/p][p][/p][p]This playtest has new systems, enemies and bosses for you to try out and discover what gives you the best evolutionary advantage. Will an exoskeleton be your new go-to strat, or maybe you’ll find a new Specialisation of an evolution you already loved?[/p][p][/p][p]It also has a new mode for you to play with: Challenges! Will you thrive in a biome crowded with bosses? Will you be able to survive the snowy landscapes without any fur to keep you warm in this chilly biome?[/p][p]
