Demo Update - Version 0.7.2

[h3]We’ve been on a roll with squashing bugs and polishing the demo![/h3]

Version 0.7.2

  • Increased Hard Mode difficulty: bosses and mini-bosses are now stronger in Hard Mode than in Normal Mode.
  • Fixed Input Bug reported by players.
  • “Fixed Timestep” from 0.02 to 0.01 for better dice trajectory calculation and theoretically improved physics.
  • Optimised dice prefabs to avoid calculating unnecessary dice, which should eliminate minor freezing during explosions on weaker devices.
  • Added shadows to enemy HP text and damage numbers.
  • Added animation and colour change to field refresh number when it becomes 1.
  • Added explosion when merging two dice with value 9 and adding Big Bada Boom die value 9 to dice queue (this will be replaced later).
  • Added icons for enemy actions in tooltips such as Enemy Moves and Enemy Waits.
  • Added tooltip and icon to enemy damage numbers.
  • Added additional description string to all runes: “Runes Consumables. Can be used during combat. Drag it onto the game field to activate.”
  • Added tooltip when hovering over spider web, showing “Spider web. This die cannot merge.”
  • Renamed Blind Die to Blind Strike Die.
  • Changed Jester field refresh tooltip from 4 to 1.
  • Fixed missing ‘Decrease by 1’ text for Enemy Buff stacks on hover (English Version).
  • Fixed hero character’s attack counter failing to display third digit when value exceeds 99.
  • Fixed trajectory line misalignment when player invokes ‘Tooltip Mode’ using controller at start of turn.

Demo Update - Version 0.6.15

[h3]Looking for more of a challenge?

Then you're in for a treat, because we've added Hard Mode to our demo![/h3]

We've released another larger update for our demo today, which includes the following changes:
  • Rebalanced easy battles by reducing the number of ranged enemies
  • Added Hard Mode to the game: activates on location selection screen after defeating a boss in normal mode. Hard Mode is identifiable on the map by "bottleneck" sections with mini-bosses appearing twice, forcing players to fight through them. Features more frequent tough battles than normal mode and harder boss fights with mini-bosses present on boss nodes (this is intentional). Warchief mini-boss on boss node does not summon minions and has increased HP
  • Changed Health Reserve relic price from 9 to 12
  • Increased maximum dice on table from 66 to 85 and added dice spawn limit to prevent game softlock
  • Replaced Weakness rune with Shuffle rune for demo, because we felt it was more interesting for players than having three defensive options
  • Removed Phoenix Essence relic from Mage, since it's not relevant for the demo
  • Reduced Alpha Bear mini-boss attack from 5 to 4
  • Increased Mimic skip reward to 15 coins

Demo Update - Version 0.6.13

[h3]While you've been out crushing goblins, we've been smashing bugs![/h3]

We've released a small update today for our demo with some important bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements.

Here's what's included in the patch:

  • Fixed an issue where the game would freeze when fighting the Goblin boss with the Infectious Bomb relic - the game would soft lock when boss-summoned units died from poison damage
  • Unlocked Mage class at game start - you now have two characters (Rogue and Mage) available immediately without needing to defeat a boss first
  • Reworked upgrade dice popup - much clearer interface when you merge an upgrade die
  • Better node visibility - inaccessible map nodes now have a distinct visual appearance so you can easily tell which paths you can take
  • Fixed map generation - improved difficulty distribution so you won't get stuck with only tough battles as your first choice
  • Fixed button feedback - shop buttons now shake correctly when pressed
  • Fixed "Highest Dice Merged" stat - now tracks correctly instead of showing 0
