Weekly #32 (15.12.2025 - 21.12.2025) - The Lone Tower and... Sickness!

[h3]Howdy![/h3][p]I don’t have a lot to write about because I got sick pretty badly, right before holidays! [/p][p]If you’re new here: Squars is an all-square roguelite that blends tower defense with clicker mechanics 🙂.[/p][h3]PLAY HERE[/h3][h3]The Lone Tower mode (WIP):[/h3][p]So apart from some bug fixes I only started working on an experimental mode to play - The Lone Tower. I want to test the concept of having just one tower that can be equipped with all of the modules and wreak some havoc on the enemies all around! (You can call it a stationary bullet heaven I guess?). It shouldn’t take too long, considering I have all the tools already implemented, just some simple tweaks to the UI are needed to be able to upgrade single components instead of the whole tower :). [h2]Howdy! [/h2][p]I’ve spent this week focusing on how to make FTPE a little smoother so most of the changes include adding some explanations here and there. I made sure that all skill buttons now have a detailed description and are showing the current strength of the effect, so you have to do the math no longer! [/p][p]
[/p][h3]Gameplay Help Popup:[/h3][p]Search for a big button with a questionmark in the top right corner to open up this help popup! It won’t replace a well written tutorial, but it’s something!
