May Updates – Mari’s Magical Deliveries

Mari’s Magical Deliveries was a game demo released a couple of years ago for Ludum Dare, being a point-and-click otome game about a witch moving back home and reconnecting with 3 old friends. Since then, the game has been worked on in the background, with a new demo coming out…next week!

This new demo will including some GUI improvements as well as new art, like the brand new character art for Castor, one of the three love interests. More character art improvements will be in the full release!

There will also be a whole cast of side characters in the full game, such as these lovely girls, Kairina and Almyra! Kairina (left) is a part-time magician at the carnival while Almyra (right) is a vampire. Mari will make deliveries to the side characters, befriend them, and see how their lives intertwine with her love interests.

The full game will also have a delivery system, where you start off the day by picking which packages you want to deliver yourself (with Mari’s father delivering the rest) and spending time with love interests that way. I’ll be able to share more info on this system down the line, but the base mechanics are currently almost done.
Writing for the full game is also being worked on, with some new scenes already drafted. The full game will be centered on individual scenes that progress overall plot points, with each of the love interests having different overall narratives from each other and depending on which packages you deliver (i.e. who you talk to).
A release date for the full game hasn’t been decided yet, as Asphodelium will be our next release (June) with Crimson Waves on the Emerald Sea: Amaranthine Moon being after that (late 2025), so we’re estimating late 2025 or early 2026.
If you want to support development, please give the game a wishlist on Steam! Every wishlist helps us out greatly.
