Version 0.3.4 Status!
[p]Greetings everyone!
So, I am finally on the other side of my grief, and I am back to work in full. The typical speed at which I work, is 10 renders per day. This is primarily because the setting and rendering of those 10 renders usually encompasses a 24 hour window.
There are fluctuations of course, depending on what - specifically - is in the shots. But roughly 70 renders per week is a good average. There is no change there, and things are proceeding as normal.
I do my best to be as transparent as I can be about the process, and how the events in my life are affecting it. The loss of Biscuit was very public, and obviously slowed things down a lot. However, as I mentioned, I'm on the other end of that, and nothing notable is holding me back as we continue full steam ahead.
As of tonight, the entirety of the update is written and coded. That said, (and as i typically say): The art is the bottleneck. I can only move as fast as it does. But as of now, we've hit the 50% mark in raw render count. I expect the remainder of the update will actually move a lot faster than the first half did. I'm not dealing with the grief anymore, and the scene ahead will not be as hard on the renderer as this scene has been.
Some of you may have seen me talk about it, but I am attempting my most ambitious animation to date in this coming update. And a friend brought up an interesting point today. That so many games would just release placeholder renders, and come back and do animations later. That is something I'm not personally a fan of. It might take longer, but I want each update to be released in it's final form, not as a placeholder to be reworked later. That would essentially make every update a sort of beta, and not only do I dislike that in terms of quality, I don't think it serves the vision of the game, and I don't think it's fair to everyone who purchased it. It'll be a little while yet before I'm able to really have a good estimate for a time frame on the update, but it is coming along nicely! (particular now that I'm back to work at my normal pace!)
I wanted to thank everyone for their patience, while i dealt with the grief. I believe the wait will be worth it ;)
Things to look forward to in the upcoming update!

Steam Achievements - I believe I have isolated what caused them to not activate for the players, even though they tested ok on my end. I will have that fix implemented for this update, but if there is a way to clear achievements, for the purposes of retesting, then I don't know it.
I won't let Achievements become a nagging issue that spans updates for the next year. If it doesn't function when this update goes live, then i will shift all focus towards them, until they DO function. This way I can get that hurdle behind me. [/p][p][/p][p]
[/p][p][/p][p]Spicy Time with Selene! - Selene will get her first nsfw scene in this update. There will be both lesbian and hetero paths for this. If you have hetero content disabled, then it will default to the lesbian path. If you have it enabled, then you will be presented with the choice for which path to travel.[/p][p][/p][p]
A new cast member! - When Rivers of Astrum (the entire saga) is complete, it will have 12 main characters (including Dee). Daughter of Darkness, however, will see a total of 8. The last of which will be added in this coming update, as she makes her way into the story. I can't wait for you to meet her![/p][p][/p][p]
And with all that out of the way. What are you all looking forward to in the upcoming updates? Any hopes for the ladies? or the story? Any content type in particular that you're waiting for? I'd love to get your thoughts!
Best wishes!
