Demo Update. Post-Halloween Cleanup & Small Balance Tweaks

[p]Hi all!

A small update has just gone live for the demo. Nothing huge, just quality-of-life changes based on your feedback and the end of the Halloween event.
[/p]
🎃 Seasonal Event Wrap-Up
• [p]All Halloween decorations have been removed.[/p]
  • [p]The seasonal shards remain collectable, but with their drop rate reduced by 50%.
This gives everyone who missed the event a fair chance to complete their memories before the next seasonal content arrives.
    [/p]
⚒️ Pebbles Adjustments
[p]Pebbles caused more frustration than intended, so we tuned him down and reduced how often he appears:[/p]
  • [p]Encounter rate lowered[/p]
  • [p]Physical resistance −25% (25%)[/p]
  • [p]Fire Vulnerability +5% (125%)[/p]
  • [p]HP −10%[/p]
  • [p]Damage −10%[/p]
  • [p]Speed +10% (to reflect some of the armor shedding)[/p]
[p]He should hopefully feel less like a grind now.
[/p]
🗝️ Mimic Drop Fix
• [p]The first Mimic chest you open is now guaranteed to drop a memory shard. This came directly from player suggestions, thank you! [/p][p][/p]
🚀 Full Game Progress
[p]We’re still pushing hard on the full version, with Early Access coming up fast. More content, more techniques, more enemies, more story, all in active development.
[/p][p]Thanks again for playing, sharing feedback, and helping us shape the game![/p]

🎃 Halloween Update – Just a Little Treat!

[p]Hey everyone,
[/p][p]We love Halloween a bit too much… so we couldn’t resist sneaking in a tiny surprise into the demo.[/p][p]🔸 New spicy scene:
Collect shards from defeated enemies to uncover something… mysterious.
[/p][p]🔸 Seasonal mood:
A few decorations found their way into the forest, see if you can spot them!
[/p][p]It’s nothing huge, just a small treat for the spooky season, but we hope it brings a grin (or something else) while you explore.[/p][p]Thanks for playing, sharing feedback, and keeping Twiwood alive. You make it worth staying up late for these little experiments.[/p][p]
Stay safe out there, and have a wicked Halloween night![/p]

Midweek Community Q&A: You Ask, We Answer

[p]Hey everyone!
[/p][p]We’re halfway through Steam Next Fest, and wow, the feedback and questions have been incredible.[/p][p]No new build this week (we’re catching our breath 🫠), but we wanted to share some highlights from the conversations we’ve had with you across Steam, Reddit, and Discord.
[/p][p]🔸 Q: Will the game include \[spicier] content like anal scenes or specific positions?[/p][p]A: Yes, some are already in, and more are planned for the full release (including several of the fan-favorite positions you’ve mentioned 😉).[/p][p]We love the diversity of preferences in the community, we just ask everyone to keep discussions respectful so all foxes feel welcome here.[/p][p][/p][p]🔸 Q: The combat minigame confuses me, what’s up with the bar and clicking rhythm?[/p][p]A: During the Enemy Technique sequence, the opponent’s goal is to make you finish, and your job is to counter and resist.[/p][p]When the enemy enters a “Burst” phase (animation speeds up and the bar fills faster), don’t left-click, those drain your stamina without effect.[/p][p]Instead, use that moment to recover stamina with right-clicks, then resume attacking once the Burst ends.[/p][p]We realized we should’ve explained that in-game better, so a proper tutorial and optional timing assist visualizer are coming soon![/p][p][/p][p]🔸 Q: Why can’t I heal between battles? My character refuses to drink potions unless dying![/p][p]A: You actually can heal between battles, it’s just hidden:[/p][p]Go to Inventory → Click Potion → Use button (right side).[/p][p]We know that’s not intuitive, so we’ll be adding a simpler option to refill HP/MP directly from the map in a future update.[/p][p]Thanks to players like Hex for catching that one (and for the visual mock-up of the timing bar, we loved it 🧠).[/p][p][/p][p]🔸 Q: I don’t like timing combat in turn-based games, will there be options?[/p][p]A: Totally fair. The block (SHIFT) system actually lets you ignore timing altogether and play defensively, relying purely on planning and upgrades.[/p][p]The parry/dodge timing is an optional mastery layer, not a requirement to win.[/p][p]We’re considering a “pure strategy” toggle or assist mode to help players who prefer the traditional turn-based flow.[/p][p]Huge thanks to Zampolit and others who explained why accessibility matters, that feedback helps us strike the right balance between strategy and expression.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]🦊 Wrapping Up[/p][p]We’re deeply thankful to everyone trying the demo, sending feedback, and wishlisting Twiwood Tales.[/p][p]Every comment helps shape the game into something more polished, fun, and a little bit weirder.[/p][p]If you haven’t yet, drop your favorite encounter or your wildest question below 👇[/p][p]We’ll feature a few in the next Q&A post![/p]
