I’m really excited that you’ll be able to play it on the go: on the way to school, work, or on vacation.[/p][p] [/p][p]Before launch, I also want to say a huge thank you once again for the incredible support during Steam Next Fest. More than 18,000 of you downloaded the demo, and over 16,000 added the game to their wishlist during that one week alone. That pushed Blossom into the top 2% fastest-growing games in the entire showcase, which honestly blows my mind as a solo developer. Thank you so much for all the feedback, and encouragement along the way. I can’t wait for you to explore the full version of Blossom. See you on Monday. See you on Mars![/p][p]- Thorin

Blossom Joins Steam Next Fest – Final Demo Before Launch

[p]Welcome everyone, including those of you discovering Blossom for the very first time. If you’ve just found the game during Next Fest, I’m really glad you’re here!

Pebbledust Games is my alias. I’m a solo developer and I’ve been working on Blossom for over a year. I’m excited to finally show the game during Steam Next Fest.

This is the latest and final version of the demo before launch. Some of you may have played earlier builds. This recent update brings many quality of life improvements, balance tweaks, and overall polish. This is the best time to start your journey.

The demo offers plenty to dive into. You can spend a few hours exploring, building, and taking the first steps toward transforming Mars. And if it pulls you in, the full version launches very soon on March 9th. Good news is your progress will carry over to the full version.

[/p][p]Based on playtests, the full game offers 30+ hours of gameplay and goes far beyond the demo. You’ll reach later stages of terraforming, where Mars becomes a living ecosystem with plants and animals. You’ll unlock new technology, more advanced machines, and new vehicles, including ones that let you explore from the air. The story also expands, revealing more about Blossom and her mission.

And if you’re interested, don’t forget to wishlist and follow the game!

See you on Mars!

Release Date Announced! (+ New Trailer)

[p]Hey everyone!

I can finally say it. Blossom: The Seed of Life is launching on March 9! Mark your calendars.

Our brand new release date trailer just went live on the IGN YouTube channel, and I’m incredibly excited (and a bit nervous) to share it with you.

In this trailer, I’m showing much more of the world after terraforming. You’ll see lush vegetation spreading across the planet, wildlife thriving in places that were once dead, and even a new means of transportation that wasn’t available in the demo.

There’s also a deeper glimpse into the story. I wanted you to feel not just the mechanics of bringing a planet back to life, but the emotional core behind why it matters.
[/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p]I hope you like the new trailer. If you do, please share it with your friends who might enjoy it too.

Over the coming weeks, I’ll be sharing more details about the launch, including pricing and additional updates. If you’d like to stay in the loop, please follow the channels and wishlist the game so you don’t miss release day.[/p][p]
Remember: March 9.[/p][p]It’s finally happening![/p][p]

A Bigger, Better Demo Update Is Live!

[p]Hey everyone![/p][p]I’ve been closely listening to all your feedback since the demo launched, reading messages, bug reports, and suggestions across all channels. Thanks to that feedback, the demo has now been significantly updated, bringing new content, improvements, and major performance gains.[/p][p]Here are the main highlights of the update:[/p][p][/p]
New machines added to the demo
[p]The demo now includes new machines such as Auto Storage, Proximity Chargers, and Mining Drones, giving you more automation options and smoother resource management earlier in the game.[/p][p][/p]
New things to explore
[p]You can now discover new explorable locations, find lots of new POI's and some surprises like powered vaults that reward you with decoration blueprints.[/p][p][/p]
Story integration
[p]Story elements are now introduced through recoverable memory fragments, allowing you to slowly piece together more of the world and Blossom’s purpose as you explore.[/p][p][/p]
Quality-of-life improvements
[p]Over a hundred QoL improvements have been made since the demo launch! Some examples are: pinned recipes now show all required items, crafted items are automatically stored in your backpack, auto Storage machines make inventory management much easier and lot's more! [/p][p][/p]
Improved vehicle controls
[p]Vehicle driving has been heavily improved and should now feel much more responsive, predictable, and enjoyable.[/p][p][/p]
Major performance improvements
[p]Memory usage has been reduced by more than half, and you should see a 30–40% FPS increase compared to the previous demo version, depending on your system.[/p][p][/p]
Important save file note
[p]The good news is that any new save created with this updated demo version will carry over into the full game and you can continue where you left off, when the full game launches![/p][p]Save files from the old demo version 0.1.6 will not be compatible with the full release due to a completely reworked world generation system. If you have one of those, start a new game to be ready for the full release![/p][p][/p][p]The full release is coming very soon! Feel free to check out this short video and see how the game evolves when you fully terraform the planet![/p][p][/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p][/p][p]Thank you all for playing, for your support, and for continuously helping improve the game with your feedback.[/p][p][/p][p]– Thorin[/p]
