Blossom: The Seed Of Life News

Let’s talk about Blossom

[p]Hey everyone!

I wanted to thank all of you who played the demo and shared your feedback. I am listening to everything and doing my best to fix issues and improve the game. Thanks to your feedback, the game is already in a much better place than it was. Since the very first devlog, before I even wrote a single line of code, feedback has been a core part of how this game is shaped.

Because of this, together with my publisher Pretty Soon, we are organizing a few casual one-on-one chats with players who tried the demo or the playtest. Nothing formal, just a chance to talk about what you liked or didn’t, what kind of games you usually enjoy, and what would make Blossom more fun. If that sounds interesting, you can sign up here.

Thanks again for playing, sharing your thoughts, and helping this project grow.
– Thorin

P.S. Pretty Soon is also working with other solo devs and small teams on some great projects. If that sounds like your kind of thing, you can check out their page and give them a follow.[/p]

Thank You for 5000+ Players – First Patch Released!

[p]Hey everyone![/p][p]I want to start by saying a huge thank you to everyone who played the Blossom: The Seed of Life demo, shared feedback, and supported the game since release. The response has been incredible, and I’m genuinely grateful for the amount of players who took the time to play, comment, and review. Seeing so many people enjoying Blossom has been both surreal and motivating.[/p][p][/p][p]Thank you all for being part of this journey![/p][p][/p][p]This is the first patch for the demo, and it focuses on improving gameplay flow, fixing early issues, and making the overall experience smoother. Below are a few of the biggest highlights from this update.[/p][p][/p][p]Mining and storing items while riding the rover
You can now mine and collect resources without leaving the rover. Just drive up, start mining, and collect resources and they automatically go straight into your storage module. The game now runs significantly better across all areas. Expect a noticeable 20–30% boost in frame rate depending on your setup, especially around larger bases and high-object areas.[/p][p][/p][p]New game database entries
Four new database entries have been added to make early progression and crafting clearer. Blossom: The Seed Of Life Demo OUT NOW!

[p]Hey everyone![/p][p]The day has finally come! After months of preparation and playtesting, I am really excited to share the demo of Blossom: The Seed of Life with you. Join Blossom, the only sentient being left in the galaxy, as she struggles to survive the harsh Martian environment while attempting to terraform an entire planet.[/p][p][/p]
Demo Content
[p]The demo includes more than 5 hours of gameplay, and you can continue playing even longer if you discover the secret space station.[/p][p][/p]
Survival
[p]Control Blossom with very limited power and storage at the start. Mine resources, upgrade your backpack for more capacity, craft items and materials, and print large machines. Connect them with cables and manage your power network to stay alive.[/p][p][/p]
Build Mobile Bases
[p]Print small rovers that follow you wherever you go. Equip them with modules to help you survive, such as batteries, resource scanners, mining lasers, and extra storage. Take your mobile base with you anywhere.[/p][p][/p]
Terraform the Planet
[p]Use massive drills to release CO2 from the ground into the atmosphere, raising pressure and lifting the dense fog around the planet for better visibility. Keep going to freeze the surface into ice, then deploy heaters to lower the pressure and melt it, the first step toward creating liquid water.[/p][p][/p]
Explore
[p]Search abandoned bases for blueprints, gather rare resources, and activate radio towers to uncover the coordinates of the secret space station. Then prepare for launch![/p][p][/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p]You can share your thoughts using the in-game feedback form, accessible from the menu. You are also welcome to join the Discord server, where you can reach me directly.

[/p][p]I also share the development of the game through a series of video devlogs. If you are interested in how a game of this scale is built, feel free to check them out here
