We’ve been hard at work gutting bugs, refining systems, and stuffing the seas with new features. This update is one of our biggest yet, and it's packed with a TON of content for you to explore and test out.

🌟 What’s New
  • New HUD for a cleaner, more intuitive experience
  • Updated engine UI for better clarity
  • Emote wheel – show off your best dance moves!
  • Player menu – see who’s online and who’s... not alive
  • Improved day/night visuals and clear mid-day indicators
  • Onboating (yes, it’s a thing now)
  • You can now drown (good luck!)
  • Renamed fishing types: Catch = Float, Throw = Cast
  • Fishing loot system overhaul – location, gear, and rarity matter
  • Tentacles slap now instead of instant kill
  • Tentacle visibility properly synced
  • You can’t fish in the engine room anymore (sorry, engine fish)
  • No more sleeping at sunrise – pull your weight!
  • Group sleep system – wait for your crew
  • Sleep feedback when quota is cleared
  • Crouching added – sneak sneak
  • New audio cues for rare fish
  • Mouths move when yelling (yes, really)
  • Eye-tracking – characters now glance at others
  • Spectate cam has proper audio
  • VOIP muffled behind obstacles (realistic audio!)
  • Biome-specific ambiance improvements
  • Radio in the cabin – go twist the dial
  • Story-rich island updates
  • Lighthouse harbors – sell, sleep, and respawn in new places
  • Global and local maps now available
  • Danger scaling across the map with new generation tech
  • Boat sway synced across all players
  • Boat now stops correctly when engine shuts off
  • Audio warnings before engine failure
  • Engine won’t break while idle
  • Codfather now breaks your boat (he’s hangry)
  • Improved boat physics and unsticking
  • Full character customization – hats, bodies, titles!
  • Going too far from the boat? You’ll die now.
  • Dead = no name above your body
  • Save your drowning friends with the Life Buoy
  • In-game TV added for guidance
  • New fish: say hi to the Perch!

  • No fail states at night in harbors or lighthouses

FINAL PLAYTEST UPDATE: PATCHES, PERILS, AND A QUESTION ABOUT BLOOD

The end is near… of the playtests, that is.

Mr. S.Hark’s ledger is thicker than ever, and you’ve all done your part hauling in monsters, breaking our code (and boats), and giving us feedback that’s reshaped the entire game.
