Tachanka rework hits Rainbow Six Siege live servers today

Fear not, Rainbow Six Siege fans, for the lord is coming. That's right, the new and improved Tachanka is hitting live servers today (November 17) on all platforms.

The rework, which has been the subject of a lot of discussion online, has been on the test server for just over a month now, so Ubisoft has decided to finally release the low-speed, high-armour operator into the wild.

Not a great deal from his test server state has been changed really, but in case you missed it, his DP27 LMG can now be used as a primary weapon and his gadget is a grenade launcher which fires up to ten incendiary grenades with a small area of effect. In the initial rework, Tachanka also had Zofia's Withstand passive, which allowed him to revive himself from a downed state, but since so many people complained, it has since been removed.

Rainbow Six Siege's Twitch could be in for a rework

With the Rainbow Six Siege Neon Dawn release date approaching, there's a whole bunch of updates and new content on the horizon. We already know the FPS game's got a new operator, Aruni, on the way with the Rainbow Six Siege Neon Dawn update, and recent leaks have suggested Maverick and Kali Elite skins are coming. Now, there's even more news - it looks like a Twitch rework's on the cards.

A Siege fan has posted a couple of charts on Twitter, asking game designer Emilien Lomet about "Twitch and her current state". The graphs show the evolution of how the attacking op's fared in (PC) ranked Platinum and above matches in Y4S4 compared to Y5S3, with Twitch drifting from a stronger to a weaker pick overall. Lomet has responded to the tweet, saying: "We have Twitch in mind. She is in a weird spot right now.

"Although she's still clearly reasonably powerful (as shown in the graph you linked), but the way her drone works no longer fits fully in our systems," the dev explains.

Rainbow Six Siege roster learns it won't compete in NAL from Ubisoft Twitter post

The Rainbow Six Siege esports community has criticised Ubisoft for its handling of eUnited pulling out of the North America League, which has left its former players unable to compete even as free agents.

Despite only entering the Siege scene at the turn of the year, eUnited announced on October 30 that it would be pulling out and dropping its roster. However, that roster has now learned that due to NAL rules it cannot continue to compete in the league as free agents as spots in the competition are tied to organisations, rather than players. That means that without an NAL organisation backing them, they cannot continue to play in the league.

While this news is devastating enough, they officially learned this at the same time as everyone else when Ubisoft posted a short blog post to Twitter clarifying the situation. This has drawn substantial criticism from the community for both the timing and method of communication, and the rule itself that means the players can't continue to compete.

Everything we know about Rainbow Six Siege Operation Neon Dawn

Rainbow Six Siege leaks reveal Elite Maverick and Kali skins

As Rainbow Six Siege Neon Dawn approaches, a bunch of leaks revealing the FPS game's upcoming content have started appearing online. Alongside early looks at things like new holiday 2020 packs, a weapon charm, and other cosmetics, it looks like we've got our first peep at Elite skins on the way for attacking operators Kali and Maverick.

First up, for Maverick - one of the best Rainbow Six Siege operators - is an Elite skin that appears to be called 'Hotshot Welder', based on some screens and footage that have popped up so far. As you can see in the clip embedded below (via this Reddit post), it seems the op's in for a thick yellow and brown jumpsuit with welding goggles, a head wrap, and work boots.

Head to the 00:09 mark in the clip and you can get a peep at the Elite uniform's included goodies, too, which along with a charm and weapon skins is what seems to be a new welding torch-style look for the attacker's breaching weapon.
