What I'm working on and progress

[p]Hi adventurers! :)[/p][p]I've been working hard all the week and the weekend on the game. This is a post to let you know what is being done and how is it going. No public release yet for you, because I still have work to do.[/p][p][/p][p]Basically I had to do a lot of coding to make all the features in chapters work seamlessly. But now:

  • [p] You will be able to fight a BOSS MONSTER.[/p]
  • [p]You will find secondary quests and chapters that play upon some events or places.[/p]
  • [p]I will be able to add lots of content after this, in the shape of one-time and replayable quests[/p]
  • [p]New weapons will appear in these chapters, and a new armor.[/p]
  • [p]Characters develop a bit more, both on the story and game.[/p]
  • [p]You will be able to raise stats in the chapters added.[/p]
  • [p]You can find and equip weapons and armor in loot of chapters. For example, in this one you can get some useful stuff that the Purple King will give you to embark in your quest.[/p]
  • [p]Special sound effects will play at some points of the chapters.[/p]
[p]And why is it not yet ready? Because I am now working on the artistic part: images and story writing. As soon as I finish it, I'll test a while, and then make the update. It may take me this week or maybe a little more. [/p][p]But just wanted to tell you that I'm working on it! Stay tuned![/p][p]By the way... go explore and try to get as many potions or good weapons you find, as maybe you will need it to defeat the tremendous beast you will have to face ;)[/p][p][/p][p]SOME OF THE CHANGES FOR NEXT RELEASE :[/p][p]---------------------------------------------------[/p][p]- Change on quest display: you can have a main quest and a secondary quest. You can abandon some secondary ones at any moment (except core stories that need to be done). The main one has to do with the story of the game.[/p][p]- Internal changes on Quest and Chapters to have more features.[/p][p]- Engine for dealing with different kinds of chapters and quests.[/p][p]- Added mechanism for multiple reward/punishment depending on the actions chosen in a chapter.[/p][p]- Added mechanism for checking stats, relationship and status from the player to influence the chapters.[/p][p]- Modified the mechanism for combat in a story so it introduces the monster as usual.[/p][p]- Added mechanism to send to different endings if combat or other actions are victory or failure.[/p][p]- Now weapons and armors can be found (and equipped) on loot screens.[/p][p]- Fixed: giving money for guards' fine on cities didn't work.[/p][p]- Several bug fixes.[/p][p]- Added possibility of having sound effects inside chapters, in addition to music.[/p][p]- Different combat music for chapters, in addition to the usual for normal fights, and another one for boss monster.[/p][p]- Added sound for titan-type boss monster.[/p][p]- Rebuild many parts of the chapters engine for adding many features and robustness.[/p][p]- Shake effect on boss monster images, fade from red to color in other monsters.[/p][p][/p]

Coming soon: Secondary quest and boss battle!

[p]Hi adventurers! :) I am still working on the main quest chapters of the game, but they may take a long time. So I am adding a shorter quest in this moment, a secondary one, but with many ingredients that you will love![/p][p]This will allow me to finish something you can play soon, and try things.[/p][p]This story will be your first mission for our heroes, and the Purple King is the one who contacts them for it. He's the King of Subterranea, the city of the Magic Council. [/p][p]Through this quest, your heroes will get a lot of money, some items, and spells. It also will allow me to test the features added to the engine like:[/p]
  • [p]Battle with boss monsters![/p]
  • [p]Loot in the middle of a chapter (your heroes find objects or a treasure).[/p]
  • [p]Different rewards depending on what you choose on the interactive chapters of the stories.[/p]
  • [p]Development of the relationship stats of the heroes.[/p]
  • [p]Branching the story if you don't succeed, in a way that it lets you try again but without breaking the story.[/p]
[p]In addition, it also will contain things that you will love like:[/p]
  • [p]Some fun moments.[/p]
  • [p]More insight in the personality of Sioul and Tamzyn and what they feel for each other, slowly growing into something more than a collaboration. You will be able to make them grow to more than just companions of adventure.[/p]
  • [p]Dramatic moments.[/p]
  • [p]Become heroes of Subterranea, if you succeed.[/p]
[p]In this story you will delve into one of the most dangerous places of the Chasm, and battle against a powerful huge monster. The Purple King, if you succeed, will also be one of your allies in some crucial moments in what's to come.[/p][p]For now, start accumulating money, loot what you can, and be ready so when I update you can embark on the mission! :) Stay tuned![/p]

Progress so far: I got the chapters and quest engine ready

This is to let you know what to expect and where I am. For now I don't have a game update, because what I am doing to create the engine for the many updates that I'll post later! :)

On the last week and this weekend, I worked intensively until I got the engine for chapters finished. It may have some bugs yet, but it already works![/p][p]So now I am going to do this:[/p]
  • [p]Populate the game with the main story and quests.[/p]
  • [p]Populate everything with stories and quests in different places, and good and bad events.[/p]
  • [p]Add secondary quests that you can do or not as you wish.[/p]
  • [p]Add stories for the interaction and relationship between the heroes.[/p]
[p]So this way I add more drama, adventure, and depth. Now it's the writing and images part what I have to do, and build it all into the logical pieces that my programming uses.[/p][p]With all this, the world will come to life even more! :)[/p][p]I want the characters to be relatable but admirable, with their virtues and flaws, their vulnerabilities and strengths. I think many of us miss heroes with which we can identify but still be ideal, heroic and have greatness. The story also has to be the story of a couple, of their true love, and the strength to overcome the problems that separate them.[/p][p]This is the purpose of Caverns and Dryads: have fun, make you feel heroic, have good vibes, and hopeful message. That, and killing a lot of monsters, but also sometimes even make friends with them. Appreciate the beauty in dangerous places. 1.1.2 bugfix

Hi! :)
This is just a bugfix. I am now working on adding stories and quests on the weekend.

- Change on stamina: when it reaches zero, it removes a point from life as usual, but you won't die of it, although it puts you in a difficult situation because you may die from any accident or combat.
- Fix of typos in English tutorial stories.
- Fixed path from the Underground Forest back to Verdant Ruins, which was broken so you couldn't get back!
