Legendary Fish Mechanic Change and bug fixes

[p]Changed the quick time event for catching legendary and mythic fish. A "decoy" strike event will be played first and then the real quick time event must be completed second. This change addresses those who will keep resetting their line if they can visibly tell their is not a legandary fish on the line from the quick time event[/p][p]Buffed rabbit bait from 40 -> 45 bait value[/p][p]Fixed the ghost bobber bug[/p][p]Fixed a bug where trolls would not despawn on the arctic map[/p][p]Fixed a bug where the guide ui would be visible during the intro cutscene[/p][p][/p]

New map… The ARCTIC
  • [p]The Arctic map demands from players like none of the other maps do.[/p]
    • [p] Being the largest map by far, players must be strategic with their time.[/p]
    • [p] Although there is lots of bait, bait will be sparse and you will have to be efficient with using your bait. [/p]
    • [p]A new tool players have to help with bait collection is the arctic fox pet. The arctic fox functions similarly to the cat but it can grab larger bait and runs much faster.[/p]
    • [p]Using minnow traps will also be important for surviving the first week and getting necessary upgrades.[/p]
    • [p]Arctic fish also have higher base point values to help offset the difficulty[/p]
  • [p]The Arctic contains 14 new bait types, 5 new creatures, and 15 new fish[/p]

    • [p]This moose does not like you. If he starts charging you run for your life. This moose has been known to hit you so hard you might just drop all your items.[/p]

  • [p]The Polar Bear [/p]
    • [p]This mom has 3 cubs that she loves dearly. Unfortunately for her, her cubs make GREAT BAIT. If you spot her cubs tread carefully as if you spook them they will call for mamas help[/p]
    • [p]The polar bear has been spotted in forested areas in the arctic biome[/p][p][/p]

  • [p]The Sleeping Troll[/p]
    • [p]This troll is very sleepy and does not like to be disturbed. The troll also has been known to horde fish but much like the Frogs, he does not like to share his fish so if you decide you want to grab a few run for your life[/p]
    • [p]The sleepy troll has been spotted in the swamp, jungle, and Arctic biomes[/p][p][/p]

  • [p]The Yeti[/p]
    • [p]The yeti is a greedy creature who does not like the idea that your feeding the lake monster instead of him. He will follow you around waiting for you to give him a fish. However, just like the lake monster, the Yetis appetite grows with day count aswell. If you do not satisfy him with fish he will settle for you instead.[/p]
    • [p]The Yeti has been spotted in the Arctic biome specifically during harsh snow storms.[/p]

  • [p]The Arctic fox[/p]
    • [p]Will follow you around and retrieve bait for you[/p]
    • [p]The cat decided it was too cold in the Arctic so you will have to settle for Frank the fox.[/p]
    • [p]Thankfully frank the fox has been known to carry large bait and runs much faster[/p]
[p][/p][h2]Difficulty scaling[/h2][p]We have received some feedback about some players thinking the fishing is still too hard, while others say its perfect. To make the experience better for both we decided to add small variation based on difficulty[/p]
  • [p]Playing on Average Angler or Peaceful will decrease a fish’s up and down pulls by ~10%, and players will start with their MAX tension 15% higher.[/p]
  • [p]Playing on Fishing veteran will start players with 15% higher MAX tension[/p]
  • [p]Playing on JW will remain the same.[/p]
  • [p]Reduced the rate at which quota grows on JW difficulty [/p]

  • [p]Refactored the lobby UI[/p]
  • [p]Fully redone Simplified Chinese and Portuguese localization [/p]
  • [p]Increased Font Size for the Shop Items[/p]

  • [p]When a player purchases an item or upgrade, it will send a message in chat from the server letting other players know what the given player purchased and how much gold it cost.[/p]
  • [p]Added a new in-game guide to help new players understand the basic mechanics of the game. The guide can be enabled by either playing the toutorial or by joining an exisiting lobby and clicking "Enable Guide"[/p]
  • [p]Water depth now plays a much larger role in catch legendary + mythic fish. Fishing in shallow water will no longer be viable if your goal is to catch Nessie or any other legendary fish.[/p]
  • [p]New UI for health[/p]
    • [p] When players are close to death, a new blood effect will be shown on your screen to let you know you are close to death.[/p]
  • [p]Hotspot mythic boost now has a 14% chance to spawn daily rather than spawning on every 7th day. [/p]

Fish Fight balance changes

[p]Quick morning patch for ya...[/p][p]It has been reported that a few of the larger fish have been to diffiuclt to catch so here are a few changes for ya[/p]
  • [p]Reel speed has been increased for all rod upgrades Reel Speed at max lvl (The Moby) increased by ~35% Reel Speed for high end fish increased by about 20% Stike Speed now 15% slower Overall [/p]
  • [p]Sturgeon Now is easier to reel, and easier to fight [/p]
  • [p]Goliath Grouper Now is easier to reel, and easier to fight [/p]
  • [p]Great White Shark Now is easier to reel, and easier to fight[/p]
  • [p]Fixed altar desync where placing 2 fish or perals in quick succession would cause the second dropped fish to not count[/p][p][/p]
[p]"Since the backend was overhauled there will continue to be balance patches consistently until things feel "Right"
