[p]Hello everyone! Our next patch is live and, while shorter than usual, provides some important fixes for Birmingham – Crewe alongside a few core updates. We have been working with All Aboard Studios on going through feedback provided by the community and have implemented some updates to the route performance including blurred textures and Class 350 improvements.  [/p][p]On the core side of things, we’ve managed to get a fix in for a problematic bug that was causing Temporary Speed Restrictions not to trigger PZB correctly on German routes, as well as a fix for the loading screens not updating correctly and a UI issue which caused loco names to disappear from the debrief screen at the end of a run.  [/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]As always, please wait 24 hours for this update to appear. I have been given the great opportunity to develop Routes and Rolling Stock for TSW with a group of very talented Individuals! and I'm glad to Introduce you to our first great project, the Rhein-Niers-Bahn, Duisburg to Mönchengladbach. A lot of time and hard work has gone into this route and I can best talk about the Art perspective. I've had the pleasure of laying scenery throughout this beautiful route which is over 100 years old!"[/p][p]"We've all had a lot of fun with development and can't wait until we can talk more about this route, this is just the start! This route has a strong focus on freight operations, especially in and around the Chempark area. I really enjoy helping out others with their route projects, especially with infrastructure, which is what I was responsible for on the Rhein-Niers-Bahn: Tracks, signals and overhead lines. But for this route I even got the fun chance to do the timetable."[/p][p]"Before I started working on the route, I didn't expect it to be that busy. The traffic is quite heavy and although there is no S-Bahn line running the route, the section between Duisburg and Krefeld in particular feels like typical S-Bahn experience. I highly enjoy building all the Infrastructure for the route and can't wait to see it completed for release in the coming months."[/p][p][/p][p]Thank you to the team for sharing your thoughts, here's a first look at the overall route map for the route, featuring the 14 stations and additional 9 POIs (Yards, Depots and Sidings) across the line.[/p][p][/p][p]We can't wait to share more from their team over the coming months, and we look forward to seeing how development progresses with new screenshots and details in our roadmaps ahead.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][h3]Southern Pacific Ore Lines: Hayden Branch from High Iron Simulations[/h3][p]Let's hear it for our friends over at High Iron Simulations, with a huge announcement of their first route for TSW, and a brand-new US add-on - the Southern Pacific Ore Lines - Hayden Branch![/p][p][/p][p]HIS: "Legendary among North American enthusiasts for its heavy-haul and tough railroading amid dramatic Western desert scenery, Southern Pacific’s Hayden Branch linked the great, sprawling open-pit copper mine at Ray, Arizona, to copper smelter and mill facilities at Hayden, Arizona. The ~20 tortuous route miles between Ray and Hayden served as a 24/7, always bustling steel artery over which the railroad lugged millions of tons of copper ore from mine to mill, and, in return, hauled finished copper metals outbound. The Hayden Branch connected at Ray Junction with the remainder of the Southern Pacific system via SP’s Tucson Division."[/p][p]"As currently under active development by High Iron Simulations, the TSW6 route will be set circa 1980 as a Southern Pacific property (today, the railroad remains vital and busy as the regional Copper Basin Railway)."[/p][p]
[/p][p]Among the compelling features of the upcoming route will be:[/p]

• [p]The famed western rail route making its way through “cactus country” and along the Gila River from Ray via Ray Junction to Hayden and Winkelman, Arizona, passing through the rugged, remote, and dramatic scenery of the American West and over unforgiving grades of up to 2 percent.[/p]
• [p]Authentic re-creation of the sprawling and historic open-pit copper mine and adjoining servicing facilities at Ray, Arizona.[/p]
• [p]Highly detailed and realistic re-creations of the mill, smelter, yard, and ore unloading facilities at Hayden. The route will include a range of interactive loading/unloading features.[/p]
• [p]Yard and junction (with SP’s Tucson Subdivision) facilities at Ray Junction.[/p]

[p][/p][p]The route will include a wealth of authentic equipment and rolling stock, including:[/p]

• [p]Southern Pacific’s gray-and-scarlet-dressed Electro-Motive GP35 diesel road-switcher as was regularly employed on the Hayden Branch.[/p]
• [p]Distinctive and interactive Magor-built ore-hauling gondola.[/p]
• [p]43-foot acid tank car (acid being a byproduct of copper mining).[/p]
• [p]Southern Pacific 56-foot anode flat car (for outbound ore ingots).[/p]
• [p]Southern Pacific C30-4 bay-window steel caboose.[/p]
• [p]Select additional freight equipment for manifest freight.[/p]

[p][/p][p]Bringing the Hayden Branch – and its remarkable operating challenges – to life will be an extensive range of timetabled services and scenario-based gameplay, including:[/p]

• [p]Loaded, 6,000-ton copper-ore train movements from mine to the Hayden unloader.[/p]
• [p]Empty train movements (50-55 cars) from Hayden returning to Ray Mine.[/p]
• [p]Loading and unloading switching duties at Ray and Hayden.[/p]
• [p]Acid traffic handling inbound and outbound.[/p]
• [p]Hayden smelter and mill switching assignments.[/p]
• [p]Mixed manifest and outbound ore movements via Ray Junction.[/p]

[p][/p][p]Let's now peek at the route map planned, stretching across the rugged landscape of Arizona![/p][p]HIS: "This upcoming route will bring to TSW6 for the first time one of America’s most renowned and historic Class 1 railroads – the Southern Pacific – and promises to deliver a remarkably diverse and challenging heavy-haul, round-the-clock railroading experience!"[/p][h3][/h3][h3]Gameplay Showcase for The Tadami Line from Union Workshop[/h3][p][/p][p]Of course, it wouldn't be a TSW announcement event if the Tadami Line didn't join in - but today we've got something extra special from the Union Workshop team, with a full gameplay showcase of what you can expect from the new add-on, featuring multiple clips of the Kiha-40 DMU in it's three classic liveries as it explores the scenery and stations you'll encounter on TSW's first journey to Japan![/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p]Union Workshop: "The Tadami Line runs along the Tadami River, and its charm lies in the magnificent scenery of the changing seasons. The train passes through many bridges and tunnels heads to Oku-Aizu. The scenery outside the window is refreshing. Many domestic and foreign photographers come here to capture this breathtaking scenery. It was even selected as the top of the "Top Ten Most Beautiful Autumn Leaves Railways" by a national media."[/p][p]"Kiha40 series diesel cars were designed in 1977 to replace the aging vehicles on suburban and rural services. A total of 888 vehicles were built from 1977 to 1982. From the northernmost Hokkaido to the southernmost Kyushu, they have been widely operated all around Japan. The Kiha40 is powered by an inline 6-cylinder diesel engine outputting 220 horsepower. [p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p][/p][h2]The Story So Far...[/h2][p][/p][p]Frankenbahn: Stuttgart - Heilbronn was one of our showcase 'Take-A-Ticket' reveals during Dovetail Direct Summer 2025.[/p][p]Since then, we've shown work-in-progress models of the new rolling stock and explained a little about the Train Faults and features implemented into them.[/p][p]You can revisit these in the October and November Roadmaps.[/p][p][/p][h2]The Setting: Back to the year 2000[/h2][p][/p][p]Set in the year 2000, recall the days when the millenium was new. See the classic layout and buildings of Stuttgart before its big rebuild, carefully traverse the Enzbrucke prior to its 2006 replacement, and of course, experience it all from backdated motive power.[/p][p]Climb into classic traction such as the all-new DB BR 140 to embark on hefty cargo duties, or shuttle back and forth in regional services featuring the new Wittenberger Steuerwagen, powered by DB BR 111 traction.[/p][p][/p][h2]The Route: Stuttgart - Heilbronn[/h2][p][/p][p]Transport freight and passengers along the banks of the Neckar and into Baden-Württemberg suburbia.[/p][p]What’s now known as the Frankenbahn was originally constructed as several railway lines throughout southwest Germany, the oldest of which was the Nordbahn which weaved out of Stuttgart, then ran north along the Neckar to Heilbronn. Since the 1840s, this line has been of key strategical importance and today sees vital commuter traffic as well as a wide variety of freight services.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]This Train Sim World 6 route Add-on features a 51 km section of the Frankenbahn between Stuttgart Hbf and Heilbronn Hbf as it was in the year 2000. 15 detailed stations represent this era with audible platform and passenger announcements as well as the massive Kornwestheim freight yard and multiple lineside industries.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Standout stations include Zuffenhausen, a multilevel station with a flyover that runs through the middle of it and an unusual post modern architectural style. The route is surrounded by many vineyards and steep valleys on the northern section of the route between Besigheim and Heilbronn.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]The main architectural feature is of course Stuttgart Hbf, as seen in the year 2000, which includes the Stuttgart Hbf S-Bahn station underneath. Researching and recreating a previous version of the station was a challenge for our environment team, utilising reference material from before 2016. Details such as the Ticket Machines have been modelled to reflect the correct era.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Another notable feature of the route is the Winkelturm bunker which is a large missile shaped structure near Feuerbach station. Its strange shape was designed to deflect bombs during the Second World War.[/p][p][/p][h2]The Trains[/h2][h3]NEW DB BR 140[/h3][p][/p][p]The BR 140, sometimes also referred to as the E40, is a classic electric locomotive built in various forms from the late 1950s through to the early 1970s. As a result it has some unique features of operation such as the single release brake and a maximum operating speed of 110 km/h.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]This can offer some challenging gameplay, managing the application and release, the latter of which can be triggered when the lever is placed one step down. Like other locomotives of the era power is applied via Tap Changer controls, requiring a level of forethought before ascending and descending gradients or approaching stop signals.[/p][p]The BR 140 will support a standard set of toggleable Train Faults and utilises both Sifa and PZB safety systems.[/p][p]Though plenty of more recent locomotives have since replaced them, they were still in use for freight services during the year 2000 and other variants of the E40 have even been used beyond then, notably by RailAdventure.[/p][p][/p][h3]NEW Wittenberger Steuerwagen + BR 111 locomotive[/h3][p][/p][p]The Wittenberger Cab Car adds equally classic passenger stock, with multiple control systems compatible with different types of locomotive.[/p][p][/p][p]This brings the total number of cab car variants available in Train Sim World to four:[/p]

• [p]Dostos, available in various Train Sim World route Add-ons[/p]
• [p]n-Wagen, available in Bremen-Oldenburg, Linke Rheinstrecke and Mittenwaldbahn[/p]

There are also shunting services for the BR 363.[/p][p][/p][h3]Additional Service Layers[/h3][p]More gameplay is unlocked using layered content from previous Train Sim World Add-ons.[/p][p][/p][p]These include:[/p]

These were taken over by Transport for Wales in October 2018.
