[/p][p][/p][p]For audio, the team conducted a reference trip to capture the main sounds of the loco, such as traction motors, horns, brakes, bogies, hvac and pantograph, taken straight from the 147 itself to make it sound as realistic as possible.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]That's all the new info we have for now, but we'll have further updates on the timetable and everything else included with this pack closer to release.[/p][p][/p]
Class 90 from Alan Thomson Simulation
[p][/p][p]The much-anticipated Class 90 is still continuing it's development process through ATS. Originally designed to boost the UK's electric rolling stock, the Class 90 has seen both passenger and freight services during it's 30 years of service - although it primarily runs freight nowadays![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]The Class 90 timetable will be focused on West Coast Mainline: London - Milton Keynes, with services from Wembley Yard, Willesden and Camden Junction hauling shipping containers or other locomotives! Keep an eye out on Train Sim World 6 and the ATS website for future news.[/p][p][/p]
Crewe – Preston from Just Trains
[p][/p][p]Ey up! The Just Trains team have shared a wealth of new information about their upcoming Crewe – Preston route, this time with a major focus on the Class 20 and what its role will be in terms of gameplay.[/p][p]Just Trains: “The Class 20’s in 1986 were regularly in action working out of Springs Branch Depot at Wigan, with pairs deployed on MGR circuits from both Bickershaw and Parkside Collieries, with the former requiring top and tail pairs of the class between Springs Branch and Bickershaw, allowing in our timetable for some unique and interesting gameplay as the constant shuffling means the area is a constant hive of activity. Beyond the MGR turns the Class 20’s also saw use on a number of other freights in the area, including local trip workings and stone trains from Peak Forest.”[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]“Visually the Class 20 has had a full exterior remap of the UV’s followed by a complete retexture from the ground up and we have also created BR Blue and Railfreight Grey liveries, along with loco specific details such as depot stickers, snowploughs and additional headlights etc. Audio has also seen attention with new traction motor blower sounds, blunt end and cab end horns, including a random third tone that is as per our reference locomotive. Additionally, the existing audio has also been tweaked and enhanced to provide an improved experience.”[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]“We’re really excited for people to have chance to utilise the vast array of locomotives in game, the variations included mean that you’ll never be sure what will turn up!”[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]You can read all the news, along with the full list of features for the Class 20, on Just Trains' blog.[/p][p][/p]
Tadami Line from Union Workshop
[p]Union Workshop are continuing to progress on Train Sim World's first Japanese route; the Tadami Line.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]This month we’ve been provided with more screenshots on the KiHa40, showcasing the windshield’s shape has been modified since we last saw it, and the guard key has been added for door operations. Union Workshop have also been working on refining textures for the exterior of the train. Check out some of the screenshots below![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]We'll keep you updated on the latest news for Tadami Line, and more information when you can expect it coming your way![/p][p][/p]
Medway Valley Line from Firefly Simulations
[p]Our very own James has been working with Firefly Simulations to bring you a new update for the upcoming Medway Valley Line, initially announced in week two of Season of Reveals 2025. The Firefly team have been making great progress with this route, but we'll let James take it from here![/p][p][/p][p]DTG James: "Another Month, another Medway Valley update from yours truly! Back in February we showcased the latest progress on the route, which has continued to wrap up nicely, but we promised that March would offer an insight into the Class 375, so today, we will be digging into exactly that."[/p][p]"First off, let’s hear from Charlie, who has been at the centre of the work done to bring the Class 375/3 and 375/6 to life in Medway Valley Line."[/p][p][/p][p]Charlie: "When I started working on the 375, I thought about all of the things, big or small, that other players would appreciate just as much as I would, and how to breathe some new life into the Electrostar."[/p][p]"For starters, an entirely custom GSM-R system has been implemented, with a set of new and unique features catered to those who want a more immersive experience. For those playing in Expert Mode, you will get to input the headcode of your train and the signal code your train is standing at when you start a service. You can also call the signaller and they will verbally speak to you and give you instructions. When making a call, it also will display the name of the local signaller on the radio."[/p][p]
[/p][p]"Another new feature is the ability to receive an emergency call, and you will get to experience this in one of the scenarios."[/p][p]"Next, a unique take on the Guard Mode experience - working CCTV cameras! At the guard panel, there is a small screen that cycles through each carriage when it's active. If you have Expert Mode enabled, you will be able to see this in action, keeping an eye on passengers boarding and alighting your train to ensure safety."[/p][p][/p][p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p]"You can now also use the handles by the exterior cab doors to open them. Pull them to open the door, and slide the door shut again. After you've entered the cab, perhaps take a moment to try the handle underneath the driver's seat...?"[/p][p]"For those who enjoy observing the trains from the outside, you can enjoy some new third rail sparking visuals. The colours of these sparks range from blue to orange, with each having unique characteristics. Blue sparks won't fly as far or not at all, while orange sparks will fly further, but will be slightly dimmer."[/p][p]
[/p][p]"We're not done here yet though! There are still some more surprises waiting that we can't wait to show off."[/p][p][/p][p]DTG James: "Thank you, Charlie! There certainly is a lot to look forward to and already this list makes it the most comprehensive Electrostar to date - but that’s just the beginning! What really brings the experience together is the sounds. As one of the most common train families in England, many of us know an Electrostar when we hear one, and keen to bring that to life is Luc, who you may also know online as ItsYa165, who was brought on board to give the 375 some attention, let’s see what he has to say."[/p][p]Luc: "When I was approached to replace the project’s Electrostar audio, I decided to go all out. This involved months of meticulous editing in Audacity, using the spectrogram to scrub background noise from recordings of switches, door drives, HVAC units, etc. But players will be most focused on driving audio – the sounds the train makes when it’s dynamic."[/p][p]"That placed traction audio as the primary focus. To capture the Electrostar’s Mitrac converter operation accurately, I used 1000mH inductor pickup coils alongside my usual microphone. This simultaneously recorded both acoustic noise and electromagnetic waveforms across various pulse modes: from its initial 1000Hz asynchronous carrier, all the way into the synchronous regime with its full-block commutation. I developed a custom blueprint to manage these sounds, including separate motor audio for interiors, exteriors, and motoring versus braking modes."[/p][p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p]"To further enhance immersion, I implemented wet versus dry wiper sounds, and a massive library of flange, joint, and rolling sounds. A new blueprint triggers air spring sounds (secondary suspension) as you turn sharply through a corner. Immense optimisation has gone into the Electrostars for this add-on in order to achieve this high-fidelity. And with the number of Electrostars in the game now, these would be the “one ring to rule them all” audio experience."[/p][p][/p][p]DTG James: "From having played with it a lot already, the 375 is truly something special, which makes driving, conducting or riding along the valley a fantastic experience, and I can’t wait for all of you to get your hands on it too! I have a feeling it won’t be too much longer until we can share more details, but that’s enough from me today."[/p][p][/p][p]Thank you to DTG James and Charlie and Luc from Firefly Simulations for the comprehensive info on Medway Valley! We're excited to see more updates on this, and if you are too, make sure to keep an eye out on further details in future roadmaps![/p][p][/p]
West Coast Mainline: Trent Valley from All Aboard Studios
[p]We have a further update from All Aboard Studios on the progress on their Litchfield Trent Valley route. This more comprehensive update covers route hopping, gameplay experience, timetable details and scenarios.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]AABS: “As part of the upcoming West Coast Mainline release, All Aboard Studios and Just Trains have confirmed collaboration at Crewe to ensure you can seamlessly route hop between Trent Valley and Crewe to Preston. All Aboard Studios working with Dovetail Games to also ensure route hopping is applied to Euston Milton Keynes and Cross City to ensure a smooth transition between routes back and forth at Lichfield Trent Valley and Milton Keynes Central.”[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]“The timetable has been carefully constructed to reflect the intensity of this section of the West Coast Main Line. In total there are 2,301 services across the full day, with 478 playable services drawn from 35 layers. High-speed intercity, regional stopping services and a substantial freight presence combine to create a dense and believable operating environment. The Class 390 leads with 135 playable services, supported by Class 805 and 807 diagrams, extensive Class 350 commuter workings and a broad mix of freight traction.”[/p][p]
[/p][p]“Comprehensive tutorials for the Class 350/4 and Class 807 are included at the Training Centre. These provide a thorough introduction to each unit, covering start-up procedures, passenger door operations and coupling and uncoupling where applicable, ensuring you are fully prepared before heading out onto the fast lines. There is even an introduction to the route itself for those who may be unfamiliar with this stretch of the West Coast Main Line."[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]"We have also recreated the well-known Heamies Farm lineside location, complete with a dedicated spawn point. If you are in the mood for a bit of trainspotting, there is no better place to take it all in without the need to drive there first. From this vantage point you can simply stand back and watch the constant flow of intercity, commuter and freight traffic on the fast lines, made even more immersive by the new AI horn functionality as approaching expresses sound out across the fields before racing past.”[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]“The route also features a series of characterful collectibles hidden across the map. Rogue wheelsets pay tribute to the historic Wolverton Works, Rugby balls appear in recognition of the town where the sport was born, and the Tamworth Spud makes its own unmistakable appearance along the line, if you know, you know.”[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]“We are incredibly proud of what the team has built with WCML: Trent Valley. It captures the pace, pressure and operational complexity of this famous stretch of railway, while still leaving room to explore and appreciate the detail along the line. We look forward to welcoming you aboard the Trent Valley very soon.”[/p][p]All Aboard Studios are also continuing their work on the Class 70, which they are hoping to share an update on in the coming months, so be sure to check on future roadmaps and community spaces for more information further down the line.[/p][p][/p]
BNSF Electro-Motive GP60M from High Iron Simulations
[p]The High Iron Simulations team has been busy at work on multiple projects for TSW6 North American content, starting with the GP60M.[/p][p]The GP60M and GP60B, rolling stock, and gameplay are in testing. The GP60M will be included with both its “as built” console control configuration and its “Dash 3” rebuilt configuration featuring a Wabtec AAR-style control stand. The GP60M will wear BNSF H2 and H4 liveries while the GP60B will be dressed in BNSF H1 livery.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Along with these stylish diesels, the pack will include a three-unit articulated “spine” intermodal car with multiple loads, an ex-Santa Fe Ga-series cement hopper in three BNSF liveries, a 3-bay ribbed-side covered hopper in BNSF livery, and an 89-foot auto rack in BNSF livery. The pack will include a robust services timetable and selection of scenarios on the TSW Cajon Pass route and four bonus scenarios on the TSW San Bernardino route.[/p][p]Speaking of updates from High Iron Simulations, let’s take a look at their upcoming Southern Ore Pacific Line![/p][p][/p]
Southern Ore Pacific Line from High Iron Simulations
[p][/p][p]High Iron Simulations’ first TSW6 route is advancing towards completion. Work on the dramatic Arizona copper ore hauling route, located in the rugged desert countryside, is being finalised and development of the locomotive and rolling stock is ongoing.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Equipment for this route will include:[/p]
 • [p]Southern Pacific Electro-Motive GP35 in the railroad’s famed scarlet and gray livery and with SP-specific details. The locomotive will be provided with both Southern Pacific and Cotton Belt lettering.[/p]
 • [p]Southern Pacific C30-4 steel bay-window caboose with modernized features and full interior. Across multiple classes, the Southern Pacific operated more than 900 similar bay-window cabooses.[/p]
 • [p]Distinctive Magor-built ore-hauling gondola with dumping capabilities.[/p]
 • [p]43-foot acid tank car.[/p]
 • [p]Southern Pacific 56-foot anode flat car.[/p]
[p][/p][p]Bringing the challenges of operating the Hayden Branch route to life will be a services timetable and selection of scenarios featuring main line ore-hauling operations, loading and unloading work, yard duties, and mine and smelter switching assignments.[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
An Update on Lisbon Setúbal from VirtuaVia360
[p]Our development partners at VirtuaVia360 have been continuing work on their Lisbon Setúbal Route, but they have unfortunately had a couple of issues which have caused delays to the development. The team have provided us with the following statement, which explains further:[/p][p][/p][p]VirtuaVia360: “First of all, we would like to apologise for the delay of our DLC. These last few months have been very tough for us - we ran into some serious server issues on our end which caused constant issues in coordinating our work, sometimes even putting at risk much of recent work done. Fortunately, we've made enough backups to not delay our progress even further. However, we have had some of our key members sick and some also impacted by the recent weather storms.”[/p][p]“It has been a challenging period, therefore it has delayed our progress. That said, we're still here and fully committed. The development is continuing at a very steady pace, and thanks to that, we've got some new screenshots to show you!”[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]“Thank you for sticking with us - your support and feedback is very important for us.”[/p][p][/p]
Rhein Neirs Bahn from FolezzWorld
[p][/p][p]Initially announced during our 2025 Season of Reveals, Rhein Neirs Bahn has received its first roadmap update from FolezzWorld, who have further information on the ongoing development of the route.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]FolezzWorld: “I can speak for the whole team when I say we were all very happy with the reaction behind the first announcement for the Rhein Niers Bahn! We have continued working very hard building this route and trying to bring it to perfection. Scenery, vegetation more between Duisburg and Rheydt is almost complete. It needs to go through a few checks to make sure we are happy with how it stands and to ensure we bring you the best possible quality whilst we shift to finishing up Industrial areas like Duisport.”[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]“Dion has also been very busy on the Rail Network and Gameplay side of things, and we now have a timetable full with of passenger services on the route (including AI). We’ll be working on including realistic freight and, of course, some special services for the BR145 which is to come soon from the TSG team. Signalling is now also complete with full ZS2/3 functionality, along with OHLE which is almost complete along the whole route. We are very excited for when we can show more!”[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Keep an eye out for further updates on Rhein Niers Bahn from the team at FolezzWorld in future roadmaps and in community spaces.[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
State of the Game Update – March 2026
[p]Last month, we shared our first State of the Game update, providing key insights to improvements that are fundamental to the TSW experience. We're back to continue a monthly, candid insight into where we're at with both of these outlined issues, keeping you informed of our latest progress, next steps coming up in the months ahead, and the latest delivery expectations.[/p][p][/p]
PS5 Add-on Mounting Issues \[Ongoing] – Initial Improvements In Testing
[p]Our team have submitted a first set of fixes that help alleviate the limitations we've seen on PlayStation platforms particularly, but with some improvements we hope also benefit all platforms.[/p][p]A notable example of this work, is removing the dependency of Frankfurt S-bahn's BR 423 from the recently released Stuttgart Heilbronn route, and instead including the layer natively with the add-on. This work frees up the need to load Frankfurt S-bahn as a dependency, helping free up 24GB's of space that build up to the limitations, and therefore the missing add-ons and services we've seen reported by players.[/p][p]These initial improvements still need testing, and following review, our teams still think further solutions will be required for a more significant improvement. We're now understand and scoping our this work, and in the short-term finding opportunities to make smaller improvements to reduce the dependency limit being overwhelmed, through smarter content loading optimisations.[/p][p]The original timeline for a resolution in February 2026 wasn't a target we were able to hit, and as we undergo testing, we're staying cautious to committing on a new delivery window whilst we manage expectations of what these first improvements could resolve, and then look at how we can get them into your hands.[/p][p]Current Status: Initial improvements have been submitted for testing, however more time will be required to assess their impact and the delivery date players can expect. Ideally, initial improvements would be headed your way in the coming months, if we're able to see positive results from our testing.[/p][p][/p]
Blurred Textures & Optimisation \[Ongoing]
[p]As a larger part of the wider community conversation, improvements to help resolve blurred textures and optimisation remain in testing.[/p][p]As a reminder, due to the nature for these improvements being partly core, and partly add-on dependent, it’s something we need to assess individually for released content, and it’s important to note that some add-ons are impacted more than others, meaning that we can and will aim to prioritise add-ons which tend to pass the “texture memory budget” at a higher frequency, from community reports and our testing.[/p][p]For those of you who noticed our unintentional update to Southeastern High Speed at the end of February, which we've seen reverted, you'll have seen discussions about the work from the Firefly Simulation team, that are aiming to bring a multitude of improvements to the route at a future date. These updates also included an early version of optimisation enhancements that the team are working on, that we're hoping offer us insights and learnings for greater game stability moving forwards, including the reduction of blurred textures. These improvements aren't ready just yet, but following on from our above mention that these improvements are add-on dependant, we're using SEHS as a chance to understand and visualise how these improvements are making a difference, and ensure future releases are more efficiently-developed.[/p][p]To close off for this month's update, and remain candid, we're unlikely to deliver these improvements to you in March, and we understand that delay is frustrating. However, whilst we don't have a set of improvements we can share at this stage, we are constantly making further optimisations to upcoming add-ons and content being tested by our teams, so that any new releases are impacted as little as possible.[/p][p]Current Status: Testing and optimisations continue, however our original March aim is unlikely to be kept due to the complexity, and the fact different routes have been impacted more than others. Our initial tests on the SEHS route are also something we're hoping to share with you soon. We'll keep you updated on delivery times in each monthly Roadmap.[/p][p][/p]
Patches and Updates

Stuttgart Improvements
[p]Mentioned in previous roadmap livestreams, and earlier in State of the Game, Frankenbahn: Stuttgart - Heilbronn is being updated to include a DB BR 423, removing the requirement for Frankfurt S-Bahn, and therefore natively including over 400 services in both the original 2000 and the DB BR 147’s 2018 timetables. Not only that, but it has also been amended to reflect Stuttgart S-Bahn condition, making the services more realistic than just using the Frankfurt one.[/p][p]
[/p][p]And that’s not all either! As part of the improvements, a further wagon was copied into core, removing the requirement for Ruhr-Sieg Nord as a layer, and also copied into the route, and implemented into the original 2000 timetable, is the mint n-Wagens from Linke Rheinstrecke - adding a mixed-livery touch to regional services and making it feel much more authentically turn-of-the-Century.[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Improvements to the Santa Fe on Cajon Pass Gameplay Pack
[p]Based on valuable feedback from players, the High Iron Simulations team have undertaken significant improvements and fixes to the Santa Fe on Cajon Pass Gameplay Pack. This update is expected to be released soon, and will include more than 40 total refinements and fixes to the locomotives, rolling stock, and gameplay elements of the pack.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Among the key changes are:[/p]

DB BR 145 Expert - Coming Soon!

[p][/p][p]Consider yourself an expert? Continue your journey with TSG and their next release in the Expert series: the BR 145, releasing on March 13th 2026![/p][p][/p]
About TSG
[p][/p][p]Train Sim Germany (TSG) is formed of numerous individual developers working on Train Sim World projects. Readers of our recent Roadmap will note their development work on the first German steam locomotive in the future Neckartalbahn route Add-on, with other members working on the BR 420 Add-on and more.[/p][p][/p][p]The group has been creating content for both Train Simulator Classic and Train Sim World since 2011 both as a contractor and as a Partner Programme developer.[/p][p][/p][p]Previous Train Sim World releases include the G6 shunting locomotive and the fan-favourite Niddertalbahn route Add-on, as well as Train Sim World’s first ‘Expert’ level locomotive: DB BR 101 and the first German main line diesel locomotive with the DB BR 218.[/p][p][/p]
The Locomotive: BR 145

plus new T3000e container flats
[p][/p][p]The 1990s were a period of change for Germany’s railways, classic traction was being sidelined by new generations of motive power, and multiple manufacturers with competing ideologies were being merged under Adtranz. While the likes of intercity trains got the BR 101, originally an ABB design, one of the new arrivals for freight haulage was the BR 145, which was derived from an AEG prototype, the BR 128.[/p][p][/p][p]A total of 103 BR 145s would be built between 1997 and 2000, their sleek exteriors providing a stark contrast to the boxy standards of the previous generation. Meanwhile under the hood, with modern screens in the cab and powerful asynchronous electric motors, they started the transformation of Europe’s cargo-hauling fleet and went on to inspire the design of the iconic TRAXX family.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]In this Add-on, the BR 145 features not only the standard Deutsche Bahn livery, but RBH blue as well - a new freight brand for Train Sim World. The 'NV' variant of DB BR 145 is also included representing their limited use as passenger locomotives and this variant includes a highly detailed FT95 PIS System plus changes to the cab and machine room.[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Rolling Stock
[p]Brand new T3000e container flats are included in this Add-on, alongside Expert-upgraded versions of existing and commonplace wagons; the Zacns, Habbiins and Sggmrss 90.[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
The next challenge for true experts
[p]Like the previous Expert DB BR 101 Add-on, the Expert BR 145 has implemented a number of 'Expert' features that go into a complex level of detail not seen in other locomotives and trains in Train Sim World.[/p][p][/p][p]These features are focussed on providing an intimately complex experience for the most hardened TSW players and can be disabled in the Main Menu (Expert Mode -> Off) for a more typical level of interaction in the cab.[/p][p]They include:[/p]
 • [p]Fully modelled and interactive Machine Room[/p]
 • [p]Full Bremsgerüst[/p]
 • [p]Interactive Fuses[/p]
 • [p]Fault Simulation[/p]
 • [p]GSM-R simulation, down to individual cell towers[/p]
[p][/p][p][/p][p]But that's not all! With the BR 145, TSG will also be keeping your busy outside the locomotive with Expert Coupling! Climb between the loco and wagons, pick up the chain and hook it up yourself - don’t forget to connect the brake pipes![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Thermal simulation also affects the exterior; you may have to unfreeze the brakes in the cold by 'hammering' them or stop the locomotive and fix overheating. These elements are visual and can be seen in effect. External fuses are also now simulated.[/p][p][/p][p]It will be possible to encounter stuck brakes, which will begin to overheat. There is also a chance that you will pass a hot axle detector and the responsible signaller will call you to advise you of this. Be careful! Certain wagons do not respond well to quickly applying and releasing brakes, which might trigger these issues.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]For accurate freight train simulation, TSG have implemented an automatic Bremszettel in the cab, with all the needed information on length/wagon weight to calculate the PZB data more easily. This means that you don’t need to calculate or obtain the information beforehand.[/p][p][/p][p]Via the table (shown above) you can find your train's maximum speed, brake percentage required and even the different brake modes for each wagon type. The 'Einstelltabelle' on the cab's back wall will help you enter the correct values.[/p][p][/p][p]This is especially helpful if you encounter any broken wagons. When spawning consists in timetable mode with Expert Mode enabled in the Settings, you will now have a chance for broken wagons to spawn and for varied brake performance throughout the train.[/p][p][/p][p]During development, audio was recorded from a real BR 145 locomotive and the respective freight wagons.[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Fault Finding
[p]Like the Expert DB BR 101, the fault-finding aspect to this release is fully simulated. This is different to the Train Sim World 6 core feature of 'Train Faults' and presents instead a number of complex faults to be diagnosed and remedied using the interactive in-cab screens and fuses / breakers. This includes various faults, from harmless to serious, and for the first time these pages have been translated to English for ease of use.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]A series of Scenarios and Tutorials will be able to guide the player through the fault-finding process.[/p][p]A Manual will also be provided to assist players with this process and certain elements will require reading before embarking on services.[/p][p][/p]
Expert DB BR 145 Gameplay
[p][/p][p][/p][p]A total of 5 Tutorials and 4 Scenarios are included on an advanced level, with the Scenarios requiring the Bahnstrecke Leipzig - Dresden route Add-on from Train Sim World 6.[/p][p][/p][p]The Tutorials are detailed, with some unique interactive elements and guide players of all abilities through the complex sequence of events required to operate the Expert level locomotive.[/p][p][/p][p]The locomotive will substitute into any appropriate freight service on route across the Train Sim World catalogue, similar to other freight locomotives in the game. Players will also be able to utilise the locomotive on any route Add-on in Free Roam.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Train Sim World® 6: Expert DB BR 145 Loco Add-On will be available from March 13th on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Epic Games Store, and Steam for €35.99/£29.99/$39.99[/p][p][/p][p]Please note that the Expert BR 145 will be released on PC and 9th Gen Console platforms only.[/p][p][/p]
Expert DB BR 145 Preview Livestreams
[p]In case you missed it last night, join Executive Producer Matt, Community Manager Jan and Senior Technical Producer Lukas on both YouTube and Twitch for their preview of the Expert DB BR 145.[/p][p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p][/p][p]For our German audience, we also have a German-spoken preview, hosted by our wonderful ambassador TrainSimPlay on their channel, with Senior Technical Producer Lukas joining in to support, starting tonight at 18:00pm UTC on March 6th 2026.[/p][p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p][/p]
Join us in the Community!
[p]So that you're ready for the event, be sure to join our fantastic communities for Train Sim World and all our titles, from our Dovetail Live forums, our new official Discord, and community-led spaces that we are active in – be sure to check this out below and talk directly to our teams![/p][p][/p][p]Discover more on Train Sim World 6 by following @trainsimworld on Twitter/X, Instagram, Threads, Facebook, YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, and Discord[/p][p][/p]

Course set for Czechia: Liberec - Stará Paka - Coming Soon!

[p]Take things in a new direction as Vector Simulations’ Liberec - Stará-Paka arrives on March 10th, delivering - for the first time - Czech trains and challenges for Train Sim World 6![/p][p][/p][p]This route will represent the northwestern half of a single-track line connecting the regional capital city Liberec with an Eastern Bohemian conurbation of Hradec Králové and Pardubice, featuring a total of 11 stations and 9 stops, climbing and descending over 250-300 meters across a 75 km long run. You’ll also find 8 tunnels with an overall length of 2421 meters and over 80 bridges of various sizes and lengths![/p][p][/p]
All Clear Ahead
[p]Get ready to explore a new country by learning the ropes! The basic principles of signalling apply but there are some unique elements to look out for to master this route, including of course, becoming familiar with all the aspects.[/p][p][/p][p]Check out our Czech Signalling Guide from last week to kick things off, and look forward to the manual which will also be available within the coming days. Of course, you can also see the route in action live tonight in our Liberec - Stará Paka preview stream![/p][p][/p]
Liberec - Stará Paka Preview Livestream - Live tonight at 19:00 GMT!
[p]Join Executive Producer Matt and Community Manager Harry from Dovetail Games, along with Dominik from Vector Simulations, for the Liberec - Stará Paka preview.[/p][p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p][/p]
Twice the Traction, Double the Diesel

Class 843
[p][/p][p]Buckle up for a gas-guzzling ride through the Jizera mountains with the unique Class 843. This single-unit railcar was designed for rural passenger services throughout Czechia and have been in operation since 1995. Being a diesel railcar, passenger capacity is capped at the number of seats it contains… or is it? The 843 does not always operate alone, and can often be seen paired up with Class 043 (or Btn) coaches to form longer trains.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]The Class 843 arrives in 2 variants, featuring traditional or LED headlights, and both it and its coaches come ready for service in 2 distinct liveries; blue & white, plus red & cream.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]A variety of passenger services await, including semi-fast and all-stopping patterns, some of which can take the best part of 2 hours to traverse the route! Rest easy and enjoy the journey if you wish, as the 843 comes equipped with a robust cruise control system with easy implementation to pick any pace - just keep a watch out for speed limit changes![/p][p]Know your services, they are labelled as such:[/p]
 • [p]R (Rychlík/Fast train) - stop only at the biggest stations[/p]
 • [p]Sp (Spěšný vlak/Local stopping train) - have a bit more stops, but don’t stop everywhere[/p]
 • [p]Os (Osobní vlak/Stopping train) - stop everywhere[/p]
Class 750
[p]Feast your eyes (and ears) on the iconic Class 750. Known as “Goggles” for its distinctive cyclops-like protruded cab windscreen, the Class 750 was built for the primary role of hauling freight, although passenger variants were also built. Do not adjust your screen, you are in fact seeing a total of 5x liveries depicting the loco in several notable schemes, including modern blue, classic red, and more.[/p][p]
[/p][p]With the Class 750, you’ll have much to learn as you navigate its spacious cab and squeeze through the accessible engine room. There’s no such comfort as cruise control here, operating the 750 is a classic hands-on experience.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]There are several types of freight services on the route, but the most involved are the Mn trains (Manipulační vlak/Manipulation train) which will keep you at your busiest. These trains gradually run their way up and down the line over the course of the day, picking up and dropping off wagons at each principal station, industry or yard. A full shift of these movements can take the entire day to complete, and include mainline running, drop offs, pick-ups and shunting! Also available are a series of Pn and NEx type freight services which offer the chance to run longer segments of the route without interruptions, aside from weaving around passenger services of course! Pn = Průběžný náklad/General freight train & NEx = Nákladní express/Freight express train[/p][p][/p][p]Freight trains are made up of the following new and repurposed rolling stock; Eas, Zaes, Roos and Da-k wagons are new, Laaers & Habbiins are modified, Sggmrss are also included.[/p][p][/p]
How the Time Tables
[p]In all, you can look forward to 59 services for the Class 843 with a further 44 for the Class 750, based on operations around 2018. Sharing a single-track route, services meet at stations where passing loops reside. Stay on time to keep things running smoothly.[/p][p]Adding a bit of familiar flavour to the route, the DB BR 642 from Maintalbahn makes an appearance on a handful of services between Turnov and Železný Brod, as well as AI at Liberec! German motive power is certainly no stranger to Czech rails, and in this case, several ex-DB 642s which still retained their red livery for some time regularly ran along the route in 2018.[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Situations and Scenarios
[p]No less than 9 scenarios await to put your newfound skills to the test, from battling unrelenting summers with overheat-prone traction and challenging troubleshooting aboard the Class 843, to complex shunting and storm aftermaths with the Class 750.[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Freedom of Travel
[p]Use the power of Free Roam and Livery Designer to recreate your own inspired European journeys. Czech Railways are not the only operator of the Class 750, with examples found in Italy, Slovakia and Poland. Other trains in TSW such as the DB BR 628 are also appropriate, with variants having operated in much the same style as the 642s do today. Perhaps you really want to break the rules and tackle the route with steam, despite its British or blue origins…[/p][p][/p]
T-Minus 10… well, 7
[p]The Liberec - Stará-Paka route will release on March 10th for PC (Steam, Epic Games) and Gen 9 Console platforms (Xbox Series S/X and PlayStation 5) for £32.99 / €39.99 / $44.99.[/p][p]In the meantime, you can check out some info and facts of the line for yourself on the VlakRegion website.[/p][p][/p]
Join us in the Community!
[p]So that you're ready for the event, be sure to join our fantastic communities for Train Sim World and all our titles, from our Dovetail Live forums, our new official Discord, and community-led spaces that we are active in – be sure to check this out below and talk directly to our teams![/p][p][/p]

Liberec - Stará Paka Czech Signalling Guide

[p][/p][p]Starting at the foothills of the Krkonoše mountains, taking in the incredible Jizera river and climbing the gradients before descending into Liberec - Czechia awaits in this all new adventure coming to TSW from the Vector Simulations team![/p][p]
We're thrilled to bring another new country to TSW players, and today we'll be covering some of the new features you can expect with the authentic Czech signalling you will discover as you play.[/p][p][/p]
Czechia Signalling Guide
[p]To start off, if you're familiar with Hl signals from Dresden Leipzig, then good news! You can expect Czech signalling to feel similar, with main signals consisting of up to 6 lights and having yellow and/or one or two green horizontal lights bars.[/p][p]Let's hand over the the Vector Simulations team for more information and details about how to operate the signals across the line:[/p][p]Vector Simulations: "LVZ and LS90 are both line safety systems, which means that they get informations about signals at any point through frequency modulated voltage in rails. This signal transmission system is equipped mostly only on electrified main lines and not present at the Liberec - Stará Paka (- Pardubice) route. As LS90 is a modernised version of LVZ (also called LS IV), they behave very similarly. If there isn’t any signal being transmitted, it works only as a vigilance control device, similar e.g. to SIFA. If there is any transmitted signal, it will adjust times between vigilance checks accordingly. Vigilance checks then start after the driver releases the direct brake, once the brake cylinders pressure drops under certain threshold (generally 1.5 - 1.8bar)."[/p]
 • [p]Green code (only for Free signal) – vigilance is not required if the train is travelling under it’s construction speed. If in any case the train would exceed that, the safety system would require vigilance checks until the train slows down again.[/p]
 • [p]Yellow code (Caution or Expect speed restriction) – vigilance is being checked if the train is travelling faster than 120 km/h[/p]
 • [p]Yellow circle code (for any signal of speed reduction) – vigilance is being checked if the train is travelling faster than 40 km/h[/p]
 • [p]Red code (Stop, Call On or Repeated Caution signals) – vigilance is required at all times[/p]
[p][/p][p]VS: "Sometimes there can be some outside interferences present, e.g. high voltage powerlines running nearby the tracks, the safety systems can sometimes detect false signals. LVZ system was quite prone to this and player can see this in-game. LVZ equipped locomotives have also transmission frequency switch, where driver can select between 50 Hz and 75 Hz frequencies if a track-side signals say so. Newer safety systems do this switching automatically. 75 Hz frequency is used to eliminate most of powerline interferences, because even at a few hundred meters distance from the tracks they still can interfere if both powerline and code transmission frequencies are 50 Hz."[/p][p]
"Distant signals then have only yellow and green lights. In some cases where visibility is limited or it is expected that a train would stop between the distant and main signal, there can also be placed a repeating distant signal. Those have the same lights as a distant signal, but have one more white light, which tells the drivers that this is an aspect of a repeating distant signal. Distant signals can also be integrated with main signals, e.g. in stations, where entry signal would work as a distant signal for the next signal, most of the times being the exit signal."[/p][p]Here are some of the signals players will most often see at the Liberec - Stará Paka route.[/p][p]
[/p]
 • [p]White light – shunting movements allowed, valid only for a shunting movement[/p]
 • [p]Blue light – shunting movements forbidden, valid only for a shunting movement[/p]
 • [p]Green light – free[/p]
 • [p]Yellow light – caution[/p]
 • [p]Red light – stop, also forbids any shunting movements past the signal[/p]
 • [p]Slow flashing yellow light – expect speed restriction 40 km/h[/p]
 • [p]Two yellow lights – speed restriction 40 km/h and caution[/p]
[p]For those unfamiliar with the two locos coming with the route, you can find the isolation switches for the safety systems in the engine room for the Class 750, and in the Class 843, the switches will be below to the right of the driver's seat.[/p]
Class 750 Cab & Engine Room
[p][/p][p][/p]
Class 843 Cab
[p] VS: "We have tried to maintain the highest levels of accuracy of the tracks itself, so players can expect to see accurate rail profiles with real curve radiuses, transition curves and gradients. We have created a completely new set of Czech infrastructure elements, including very detailed junctions."[/p][p]Thank you to the team at Vector Simulations for sharing these details, there will also be a detailed Liberec - Stará Paka manual on release that will aid players for the new signalling systems.[/p][p][/p][p]We'll be exploring the timetable, scenarios and features in full detail in a new article coming out soon, but for now feel free to enjoy our gameplay showcase we revealed back in December for a better view of what to expect:[/p]
Liberec - Stará Paka Gameplay Showcase
[p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
Looking for more information?
[p]This route will represent the northwestern half of a single-track line connecting the regional capital city Liberec with an Eastern Bohemian conurbation of Hradec Králové and Pardubice, featuring a total of 11 stations and 9 stops, climbing and descending over 250-300 meters across a 75 km long run. East Coastway Remastered Remaster Out Now!

[p]Get ready for a brand new look at a UK classic with the East Coastway Remastered, coming as a free update to all existing owners, and arriving alongside the release of Rivet Games' Southern BR Class 171 & BR 377/3 on Thursday 26th February 2026![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Timetable & Layers: Southern BR Class 171 & 377/3
[p]Including two trains operated by Southern; the Class 171 (in /7 and /8 versions) and Class 377/3, and a new timetable for the East Coastway route, coming from Rivet Games![/p][p]
[/p][p]Along with the 3 included scenarios, there will be 322 playable services included with these trains. Gen 8 players will have the same timetable as Gen 9 and PC players. Tyler from Rivet Games has given us the full timetable breakdown on what you can expect from the December 2017 - May 2018 setting.[/p][p][/p][p]Experience a new timetable built from scratch using the December 2017 - May 2018 Working Timetable. In the Add-on, you will find two identical versions included: one where the Seaford and Lewes services are operated by the Class 377/3 and the other operated by the Class 313.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Services:[/p]
 • [p]322 playable included.[/p]
 • [p]376 playable with all layers.[/p]
 • [p]1,008 including AI services, with all layers.[/p]
[p]Compatible Layers:[/p]
 • [p]Railhead Treatment Train[/p]
 • [p]Brighton Main Line[/p]
 • [p]Thameslink Class 700[/p]
 • [p]Southeastern High Speed[/p]
 • [p]Class 20[/p]
 • [p]Class 86/2 (coaches only)[/p]
 • [p]Tees Valley Line[/p]
 • [p]ROG Class 37[/p]
 • [p]Flying Scotsman[/p]
 • [p]Class 33[/p]
 • [p]Riviera Line (Class 150 AI)[/p]
Southern BR Class 171
[p]The Class 171 is a variant of the Class 170 operated by Southern. The primary difference is the fitting of a Dellner coupler, rather than the usual BSI coupler, for emergency coupling to Southern's EMU fleet. Southern has shuffled around their 171s a bit, but since the timetable is set in 2017-2018, we are including the two-car 171/7 and the four-car 171/8 exclusively as part of this Add-on. Rivet have also made audio improvements which will be backported to Birmingham Cross City and Fife Circle Class 170s.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]The Class 171 operates diesel services over the Marshlink line between Ore and Ashford International, connecting to Brighton. These stop only at Polegate and Lewes, except for the first service of the day which makes additional stops between Lewes and Brighton.[/p][p][/p]
BR Class 377/3
[p][/p][p]Class 377/3 units were originally built as Class 375/3s for Connex South Eastern (later Southeastern), but 28 of them were transferred to Southern. Their designation was changed when they were transferred to reflect the fitting of DOO equipment, and their change to Dellner couplers (although the 375s would eventually get Dellners as well). They are formed of three carriages and are third-rail only.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]The main difference between the 377/3 and the 377s already in TSW are the older headlight clusters, the interior, which is 2+2 seating throughout with First Class only on one end, and the number of cars is three instead of four. This change in formation also has the knock-on effect of performance feeling a little different, with one less motor coach than before.[/p][p][/p][p]Following community feedback during our earlier previews, our teams have made updates to the audio on the Class 377/3 to ensure this is accurate, and these will be available in a post-release update to the Add-on. We'll communicate when these changes are available via our community spaces and social channels.[/p][p][/p]
East Coastway Remastered
[p]Return to the seaside and take-in the views of the Sussex Coast as you’ve never seen it before in Train Sim World!
