We've just released an exciting update to the game with lots of new features and improvements, including a selection of bigger pool and snooker tables to play on!
- Added 6, 7, 8 and 9 ft pool tables, along with 8, 9, 10 and full size 12 ft snooker tables. Go to Options > Tables from the main menu to select. The bigger tables are a bit more challenging to play on, although offer a high degree of realism, and aiming lines are available if needed.
- 5 new table finishes available, including 'Chestnut', 'Cherry', 'Plum', 'Driftwood' and a dark 'Walnut' colour.
- Larger tables can be selected in multiplayer, and aiming lines can be turned either on or off when setting up a match. See the options panel in the MP lobby.
- Best of 7 or 9 frames added to multiplayer.
- Improved rendering of tables and balls in 2D / 3D with more realistic shadows and specular highlights.
- Overhead table light has been enhanced, with a larger 5-lamp variation for use with 10 and 12 ft snooker tables.
- Extra LED lighting added to bar ceilings.
- Added 3D camera 'Field of View' option with 5 settings available ranging between 70 and 90 degrees in 5° increments. See Options > Display Settings > Cameras. Also can be modified in-game.
- Controls screen is now available to view from the in-game menu. Go to Menu > Options > Controls.
- Improved physics for potted balls, which now roll further back into the pocket when playing more powerful shots.
- In-game leaderboards for Snooker Breaks and Speed Pool Times have been expanded to list top-20 entries. Click the small arrow button on the silver panel to change pages.
- Potting the 8-ball on the break shot in US 8-Ball without scratching now gives player the option to re-rack, or respot and continue.
- A foul on the break shot in US 8-Ball now gives opponent option to continue, or re-rack with the choice of who breaks.
- A bug which could occasionally cause the A.I. to get stuck when nominating a ball in 8-ball or 10-ball has been fixed.
- Solved an issue that sometimes prevented Steam avatars from loading.
- Fixed an issue that occasionally displayed the wrong information in the notifications capsule.
- In 7-Ball pool, the balls are now racked in the correct formation.
- Visual improvements made to trophy screens and tournament menus.
- The in-game menu can now be activated at any point, by pressing the ESC key, joypad menu button, or clicking the left mouse button when the A.I. is playing a shot.
- New option to customise text and border styles for in-game buttons. See Options > Display Settings > User Interface.
- Added an option to raise or lower the camera height when zoomed out from the table in 3D. Use F5/F6 keys or joypad left and right triggers.
- Included ability to resize the window in real time when playing the game on the desktop.
- Other minor fixes, optimisations and enhancements.
We hope you enjoy the update, and once again many thanks for your valuable feedback and for supporting Cue Club 2.
